"We go to Ginger quite a bit and really like their Asian fusion menu with great varied plates. Their Mac & Cheese with scallops is the best I've ever had. Good wine list with very reasonable prices."

"I've been to Ginger a few times and have always left pleased. As an amateur chef and Foodie, I am sometimes disappointed when I dine out because I feel like I could have made better food at home. Never felt this way after eating at Ginger. Their Tuna Tower, Scallop Mac and Cheese, Broccoli Beef and Ribeye are always fantastic. I like their Retro/unique bar selections...try the Blue Ricky!
This visit was for Mother's Day, so we brought the kids. The waitress was very accommodating to the picky eaters and helped customize their entrees to suit their likes/dislikes.
Definitely recommend."

"I have been to Ginger many, many times the food as always been very good. I went with my husband on mothers day and I ordered the biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs. What I received was hard boiled eggs, hard as a rock biscuits and very little gravy. My husband asked for jam and never did receive it."

"I took my mom here for Mother's Day and the food was really good. I was slightly disappointed that they ran out of ahi tuna appetizers (considering the ahi tuna entree I got instead cost me an extra $16), but it was delicious. And I also tried the banana lemongrass soup, which is probably one my new favorite dishes. I'm thinking about recreating it at home."

"Very inviting place! The hosts were warm and friendly. Our server addressed us by name throughout our meal which was a nice change from most places in Anchorage. The spicy tuna tower was a nice light appetizer. The zing ribs were done perfectly. The meat fell off the bone and were flavored so well. The broccoli beef was a stand out dish. If your looking for a steak that's done right, they hit medium-rare on the dot. Ginger has a nice cocktail menu to go with dinner and great dessert drinks as well. I will be back to try more of their menu because this dinning experience exceeded my expectations."

"In the past my dining experiences at Ginger have been excellent! I took two friends to let them enjoy the same wonderful time I had in the past. It was not as good. We were seated by the kitchen, service was just ok, not excellent as in previous visits and food wasn't as good this time. I hope my next visit is better."

"This place is a gem! Food is great and reasonably priced! Perfect for an intimate date night! Staff is attentive and on top if it! Love this place. It's also very vegan friendly which is hard to find in anchorage let alone a place like ginger! :) awesome! The food was wonderful! I had the tofu and quinoa which was delicious! The tofu had this smoked crispy outside with a nice tender inside. The quinoa with cashews... Yum!!! My husband had the vegan cury with the habanero sauce! Amazing! Our server even made a vegan version of the spring rolls for appetizers! Loved them! Our server even made up her own dessert that was vegan just for us! My drinks were delicious too! Will definitely be coming back again an again!"

"The service was great, I love the atmosphere there. The food is usually in the great-outstanding category but this time it didn't quite make it. I ordered the Thai shrimp soup, which i have had before. It tasted great but in my big bowl of soup (which is on the entree menu, not an appetizer) there was only one shrimp, kind of disappointing. I was on a nice date with my husband and was enjoying just spending time with him so I didn't want to complain. Our server was very kind and attentive, he suggested trying the house brewed ginger ale - it was delicious! Overall, we had a great time and plan to come again!"

"I took my vest friend to Ginger for a birthday lunch. I ordered the lettuce wraps and they were delecious. I cannot say the main dish I had was very good nor the $4 teacup macchiato. I had the lunch special which was a Kahlua pulled pork with a side or fries. The fries were soggy, only a few were crispy, and the sandwich was dripping in an also soggy bun. The waitress was not unfriendly, she just wasn't personable. I won't be coming back."

"Apparently you need to be ready to order here before you arrive. We asked for an extra minute to look over the menu, that pushed us to the bottom of our waiters list. Service was slow and "rushed". We ordered appitizers and main course at the same time but did not receive the main course until 50 minutes after arriving. May have been busy, but they should be ready on a Friday night with a show at the PAC. Food was good, but Ahi appetizer was quite small."

"The menu was so enticing, we came back to dine the next week! We enjoyed our waitress who explains the menus and daily special with such flair and passion. I ordered the beef curry dish which was exceptional! Hubby had the steak and commented that it was THE BEST steak (filet mignon) that he had ever had at a restaurant. We enjoyed tea with our meal, our waitress even reminded us of the 'seeping' time. This restaurant has become 'our' favorite restaurant and we fully intened to visit frequently and work our way down the menu."

"My husband and I dined at Ginger on Saturday, before a show. By 6:00pm there were lots of people, yet it didn't feel crowded and it was easy to carry on a conversation. The banana lemongrass soup was pleasantly tasty and smooth. The strawberry chili salad was cool and refreshing - dressing was spare and creamy (not red) and had a definite zip. My husband enjoyed the broccoli beef, a tenderloin dish. Half way through he sent it back for more cooking (he likes his steak medium all the way through and found the center a little too red). The chef returned it perfectly to his liking and nicely re-presented with a fresh finish of fried leeks. I ordered jambalaya, which was spicy and ample - think cajun comfort food."

"I searched for a vegetarian restaurant for visiting friends from New Jersey. This restaurant offered 2 vegetarian choices, an appetizer and a main dish. The Tofu & Quinoa appetizer was phenomenal! The seared tofu so flavorful my friends were in awe and referred to it as 'artwork!'. The main dish - Vegan Curry was very delicious, best curry they have ever tasted! Portions were plentiful and we enjoyed our evening of great ambiance and dining. The beverages ordered were; hot chocolate, green tea and zing tea. Again, we were in awe. The tea service; impressive. "The food is always spectacular. It's still a bit more expensive than I'd be willing to pay regularly so it keeps Ginger a special-time outing. The food is some of, if not the best in Anchorage, but should be priced around $2-3 less per item since Brewhouse down the street is so much cheaper for similar quality food."

"Ginger is an Asian Pacific Rim food inspired restaruant that will tickle your tastebuds and challenge your senses. The flavors and combinations may not be something your brain normally put together, but they are amazing and subtle. Like a fine glass of wine you are left to appreciate the balance, body and flavor long after the initial taste. Superb location, convenient to downtown Anchorage. Quiet, speedy and reasonably priced foods include: stir-fry, noodle dishes, salads and sandwiches, including a great burger with a hint of the exotic in every dish. Ginger is one of my favorite spots, not just in Anchorage, but anywhere. Lovely bistro feel and always great service."

"This was my third visit to Ginger's. On this occasion, I was treating an out of town friend to dinner and a show. The food was good and our server was excellent. This is not a restaurant for kids, however, my 11 year old loves their macaroni and cheese with scallops (which is a very expense dish for a kid)"

"Our server had read our Open Table reservation and knew this was our first visit to Ginger. He gave us a special welcome and was very attentive throughout our short stay. We had only appetizers for a light dinner before the symphony. Big fat fresh spring rolls with a refreshing mint sauce were a great compliment to the chicken skewers and peanut sauce. We'll be back for a full dinner soon. Warm and cozy atmosphere with great food and service."

"It was kind of a bummer to say something not so great about one of my favorite restaurants...but this birthday celebration was just ok.
The server was very very nice- but the restaurant was empty- no background music - no real life for a Sunday brunch at all. They really need to step it up in this area- as they have a nice menu and good food.
The real issue was that at the end after asking if bill should be split-- he disappeared for almost 20 minutes!!!! We had pedicure appts across town- and three of us missed those due to the very slow return time of the nice server-
I'll go back- but not likely for bruch- maybe it isn't their best gig- maybe should stick to evening events.
