"My buddy who use to work here told me to take my girlfriend here for a date night. What an amazing experience, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients in the food, and even history of some of the food. I will be returning many times in the future."

"We went to Palisade for my husband's birthday dinner. I requested a window table which was accommodated. The only issue was there was a post that blocked the view from both sides of the table. The table had rose petals on in with a birthday wish--what a nice touch. The service was excellent. Stephanie was our waitperson. She was attentive without being too intrusive. The food presentation was well done and the flavor was wonderful. The halibut was done to perfection, and the rib eye steak was huge also was done to perfection. We will come back."

"I brought my husband here for a birthday dinner knowing it would be a high priced venue and hoping the food and atmosphere would prove it worthwhile...I was NOT disappointed! The food was the best I've had in years - absolutely mouth watering delicious! The restaurant itself is very unique, from its outdoor vistas to the indoor salt water pond complete with sea stars, anemones, and schooling fish! Loved everything about this place!"

"Did not like the Snobby atmosphere, Asian male host was rude and had no manners, our waiter was very slow in getting our order or special requests. Other servers and employees were just snobby... I've been to a ton of restaurants all over the US.. and this one is not that good to be this snobby. The food though was very good to compliments to the chef."

"It's not everyday that I will splurge on a fancy dinner, but the three times I have at palisade, I've never been disappointed. The service is great--our servers have always been knowledgeable about the menu items and specials, and are always helpful in recommending items when I'm having difficulty deciding. The scenery is also wonderful, so be wire to request a window seat!"

"Our annual visit this time of year for the one and only Copper River Salmon. The dinner was started with the lobster/crab dip, which is just plain outstanding! Had the Lobster Bisque and hubby had the Caesar Salad, both wonderful. Then the main course arrived. Totally FABULOUS! Kudos to the chef! Had it done on the applewood grill and the flavor was amazing! A true treat for the tastebuds!"

"I would encourage the chef & owners to change the following:
Risotto under salmon (runny, with frozen corn & peas) & flavorless.
Serve meals on warm plates.
Make sure meat is hot when served. (My rib eye was lukewarm)
Get rid of the mushroom gravy under ribeye--full of fake beef flavoring.
Serve Fleur de Sel to the tables that ask for it, not ground Kosher salt.
Cook the spinach when you serve it--nothing worse than a lump of warm overcooked spinach.
Change your cheesecake recipe-gummy & seen better days.
Honestly, we were disappointed. The planked salmon was cooked to perfection. But this is not enough draw. Everything should be to the quality level it once was."

"Love that they have freshened up the decor and, altho they no longer have my favorite scallop dish on the menu, the food was excellent once again. Prime rib dip and Yukon Gold 'fries' (which were actually deep fried wedges of carboliciousness) - yum!. The apple crisp dessert with caramel ice cream was overly sweet by a mile, perhaps would have benefitted from vanilla ice cream (I know, how vanilla! but work with me here, people) or the use of a more tart or milder fruit to offset the caramel ice cream...it was a wee bit of overkill on the flavors. Otherwise, a good time had by all of us, at least."

"Three of us enjoyed the three-course meal. I had the salmon and it was delicious. the other two had the prime rib and said it was great. The California egg rolls and salad were also very nice. "This year, I surprised my mom by making a reservation with Palisade for our Mother's Day dinner. She loves the atmosphere of the restaurant and the gorgeous view of the Marina and Elliot Bay, and even though the restaurant was clearly busy (since it was Mother's Day) we got both-- a relaxing, congenial atmosphere and a small table with a beautiful view of the water. Bonus: we were also close to the indoor fountain, and the burbling of the water soothed away any excessive noise from other diners. The food at Palisade is sublime, the cocktails are little bits of hand-crafted elegance and the dessert (really, you must try the apple-pear bread pudding, if nothing else) will make you swoon. Two thumbs way, way up in my book!"

"This is one of our "go-to" special occasion restaurants. We had 7 people for Mother's Day. 4 people ordered steaks and everyone of them was overcooked. There was no rare or medium-rare to be found, all were well done. The scallops were awesome and the wine was good. We will probably give it another shot though because we have had so much success in the past."

"Initially, we were seated in a spot that had my wife and I on the same side. This is much more difficult to talk with each other and while some couples may prefer not talking, we do. We should've been asked before walking all the way to the table and then having to walk all the way back. The restaurant did accommodate and solved the problem without too much of a wait, but it easily could have been worse.

"Great view, one of the best in Seattle but.... three of the steaks we ordered were overdone and they tried to say it was because of the light but the medium rare steaks were all brown, poor texture no pink little lone red! The ribeye was too "smokey" perhaps to cover up the fact that the quality of the meat was poor, a ribeye with little marbling. They did recook the steaks and the second time they were perfect. I think originally they cooked the thin ribeye and New York were cooked the same amount of time as the filet despite their different thicknesses. The wine was great as were the deserts but for a destination with such a view they should pay more attention to the quaility coming from the kitchen!"

"We have been a couple times now for brunch and it is absolutely wonderful. Just get the buffet, or order a full meal for ~$5 more and it comes with the full buffet. And when I say buffet, it isn't like your typical buffet. Sushi, pancakes made to order (to die for), seafood bar, salads, fruits and cheese, fondue, etc., etc., etc. It really is wonderful."

"If it weren't for the view it would be a poor dining experience. I work in the industry and probably notice more than the usual diner. Chipped plates, slow bartender ( ordering draft beer), food slopped on the plate with the exception of the warm brie that was very good, overcooked unseasoned steaks at the table ( did not send back was worried it would take forever like the bread service. Server was good but seemed to have too big of a section."

"We were seated at 6:00 and ordered soon after. We did not get our meals until just after 7:00, and they were barely warm.
The empty plates sat on our table for about 30 minutes to arrive. The manager stopped at the 4 surrounding tables right away, but didn't stop at our table until we were standing up to leave. "very nice brunch, our group did a verity, we had some that ordered an entree and two of us did the buffet only. i was more than satisfied with the buffet alone and i did the Bloody Mary bar, so much fun. many choices and beautiful views and a great waiter!!"

"I ordered the Alaskan king crab legs for $65 and I only got one leg. I was told that the amount that is given is by weight- 1 pound. This leg did not seem to weigh one pound. I wish the wait person would have advised me that lately the chef is giving out only one leg. I would have ordered something else."

"The restaurant staff was accommodating with our seating request and gave us a little card and decorated our table to celebrate our Anniversary. The view and indoor water feature is very captivating, however the food was mediocre at best. My Ahi Poke was of poor quality and I suspect it was counterfeit ahi but a lower grade tuna judging by the fish color and firmness. My chicken entree was a very small portion and overly salted, the jasmine rice tasted like it was minute rice with a seasoning packet and was not what I expected for such a nice establishment. My husband’s NY steak was cooked to his satisfaction but had very little flavor as the restaurant broils their steaks. When you go to this restaurant it is for the view and ambiance."

"I'd forgotten how good Palisades is... quintessential NW ambiance and food. From the dungeness crab cake appetizers to the garlic prawns an the cedar plank king salmon, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. As the sun sets, Palisades out-of-the-way location provides a fantastic outlook over the yacht basin to downtown, Alki and across to Bainbridge. I won't take so long to come back next time."
