"The gorgonzola potatoes were delicious, however, whereas I was expecting either mashed or sliced potatoes, these were essentially fries drizzled in gorgonzola sauce and crumbled cheese. The appetizer pizza was also quite good though way too salty! The wine list was good, and the "half prize bottles" of wine special brought the cost down to somewhat reasonable for a restaurant. We only had those two menu items and a bottle of wine, so I'm unable to comment further on the main menu of food."

"I'm a frequent flyer at Palomino. This Mother's Day I took my neighbor to brunch.....we usually meet once a month in the bar area for Happy Hour but this was special. The buffet was delicious except for the chicken marsala which was cold and bland. Everything else was superb. I made a reservation and no wait time. The staff was friendly, attentive and made the day extraordinary."

"We went there before a show at the Aronoff which we told the waitress immediately upon arriving. Our food took over an hour and a half to get a PIZZA!! The table next to us (also going to the show) didn't get their pizza in time and had to take it with them!,,
On top of it the pizza was not that good. My friend got the chicken, she could not finish it and her date could not even eat his meat it was so tough. Obviously we will not be back!

"I've been eating at Palomino for years. Although the service has always been fantastic, the food is not what it was in the earlier years. A dash too much salt, smothered in too much sauce covering the flavor of the actual entree. Although it's not bad, the prices no longer match the quality. The happy hour menu in the bar is still a great deal and I still enjoy the crispy crusted pizzas so I'll still visit the bar on occasion, but I'm giving the dining room a break for now."

"Diverse menu, well priced for portions and offerings. Very friendly wait-staff and manager. Pleasant environment--although the tables are close together you don't feel like you're dining on top of your neighbor. Great view of Fountain Square if you can get seated in the center of the restaurant. Was our first time dining here and would definitely come back."

"We had a 7:30 reservation on a busy Saturday night in downtown Cincinnati. Traffic caused us to run a few minutes late so we called and we were told that if we weren't there by 7:45 they'd give our table away. We made it but were told when we arrived that they gave our table away and there wasn't another available and we waited an additional 20 minutes. The food was ok and the service was fine once we got seated. Management needs to be more efficient when busy,"

"The staff was wonderful and polite. As soon as we got seated the first question was if we were attending the show at the arnoff center to make sure we were on time. The food was perfect and I even had time to enjoy a cup of coffe before I had to leave for the show. I look forward to coming back to try the pizza."

"This is one of the worse dining experiences we have had in years. This used to be a favorite. Now it is just an overpriced noisy place for poor food and service. Good service may have saved the night, but the waiter was MIA most of the time. The food was over spiced and was not prepared to the menu description. Items were missing from the delivered food. Since the waiter was MIA, we could not address issues in a timely fashion."

"In the past we have had wonderful experiences at Palomino. Unfortunately, something has changed. The Mussels were awful--fishy and under cooked. I ordered the Prawns with Mushroom Risotto and Asparagus. Prawns were really just small shrimp--not Prawns. Mushroom Risotto was mushy--the worst Risotto I have eaten. It was a dinner celebration for my children's birthdays. Very disappointing."

"Overall, it was good; I don't know that I would return. We got the bruschetta appetizer, which was tasty. I ordered a martini off their menu and was told they were out of grapes so I had to pick something else. My pasta came and was lukewarm/cold. Once I informed our waiter, he returned quickly with a new hot plate of pasta. The new plate tasted very good. The pizza, which seems to be a fairly popular item on the menu, was mediocre at best. The person I was with ordered the seafood pasta which was delicious. We ordered the Italian donuts as a dessert and they tasted okay. When we got our bill, the grape martini I wasn't able to order was still on the ticket. The little things that went wrong added up to make our experience very average."

"Our experience with Palomino was great. When I made my reservation online I noted in the special notes section that someone in my party was celebrating a birthday. I wasn't sure if this would result in anything but was hoping for a happy birthday wish. What we got was better. When we arrived they had reserved a window table with a great view for our party, placed ribbon on the table and also happy birthday cards. It was a wonderful treat. Our server was energetic and made sure we had a great time. I have to say I really didn't care for the pizza but the grown up mac-n-cheese was great. Overall I would recommend."

"Not one to complain but this was not acceptable.

We received two confirmations from the restaurant- one via email and one via a phone call 24 hrs in advance- so they seemed organized. Got there on time had to wait 35 minutes after three times of being told 3-4 minute wait.

waitresses where nice- but service was very slow. Food was "ok" at best... Would not go back."

"We started with the Artichoke and Crab dip which was excellent. The large pita crisps worked well with the dip. I ordered the mushroom soup which didn't live up to the hype-I thought it would be richer and it didn't have the full-bodied taste I expected. My wife had the Salmon and Shrimp Scampi special which was very good and I had the Paella and added Scallops to it. It was also very good; a bit on the spicy side and after having the appetizer and soup, I left some in the bowl. We were seated at a two-top table beside the window that overlooked Fountain Square--very nice! All in all, a good meal and good atmosphere."

"The food was great as usual however the wait service was lacking. Our first hour and a half at the restaurant consisted of an appetizer and a salad. We had to inquire with one of the hostesses as to our dinner and server. By the time our dinner arrived, we had about 10 minutes to eat before the start of a show we were scheduled to attend. Needless to say, we did not make the show in time for its start."

"Seated timely, server pleasant. Drinks took a long time from order to receipt. Glass of champagne arrived, flat and tasteless. Bartender should have seen this before sending to the table and server should have noticed lack of effervescence before serving. Prices are out of line for this restaurant. I ordered a side salad at 7.50 and it appeared, thrown on the plate, no dressing, with a lemon wedge, no balsamic as ordered. Given I had already sent back my flat champagne, and service was off, I elected to eat the salad as it was served. Entrees arrived, others at the table looked good, tasted good per report. I ordered the cod with pistachio crust for 19.95. Imagine my surprise when the meal arrived and it looked like Groton's fish sticks."

"We were very disappointed in our recent visit. We did not know it was an Easter brunch as we had ordered off the menu a few years ago. The food was OK but not worth the price we paid.
