"The weekend I visited the restaurant, I was showing some of my German friends around Auburn/Opelika. I knew I had to take them to Ariccia because I had experienced their dinner before. But the Sunday Jazz brunch was outstanding!!! The band was wonderful! The food was wonderful! Our server was wonderful! What a beautiful and satisfying way for me to send off my German guests!!!"

"Our dining experience was very nice. Our food very good, and a delightful young server. It woud be so nice during cold weather to have tables in the room with the fireplace. It is a little cool in front of the windows. The service was a little slow. We had 5:30 reservations and we had to rush to get the bill for a performance in the same building at
7 p.m."

"We sat near the kitchen (which is open, so you can see what they're doing) so it was a little noisy. My wife and I went to celebrate Valentine's Day, so they had a special menu. Included was a chocolate buffet - yum! After dinner, we went to the Piccolo bar towards the back of the restaurant for some drinks and listened to live jazz. A very comfortable setting and great way to spend a night!"

"At one time, Ariccia was the best place in town to have dinner. However, both the service and food have declined in recent years. This is especially evident on special occasions like holidays and Valentine's day when the place is packed and the waiters and cooks are evidently stressed. The dishes simply do not have the high quality that they once did and the waiters, at one time uniformly very good, are a mixed lot at best now. This is very sad because being able to count on Ariccia for a great dining experience without leaving Auburn was an asset to the community. The best time to go to Ariccia is on an average day in the evening. When volume is low, you have the best chance of both a good, attentive waiter and good food as well."

"I could have gone to olive garden and gotten better food for less money. The portions at olive garden would have been bigger as well. A nice restaurant, but i was unimpressed."

"The food and service was ok but the prices were much too high, especially the drink prices - $6.00 for a half-filled glass of house white wine. And considering the prices - I would have thought the food portions would be much bigger. We will not be back!"

"The chicken pamesan was incredibly awful. The bread crust was unchewable. And the decaff coffee ws undrinkable. I have had good experiences with your place for lunches, but every time I have dinner it is simply not a good experience. My granddaugher (age six)ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti came sans meatballs. We had to order the meatballs special, The evening was a disappointment. Next time: a return to Provino's."

"I requested online a birthday dessert for my grandson, and a raspberrry shortcake, beautifully decorated with white and dark chocolate and a tall candle, arrived in front of him unprompted and at the appropriate time. He was totally surprised and thrilled, and the desert was delicious, as was the rest of the meal."
