Leilani's on the Beach - Kaanapali
Located right on famous Ka’anapali Beach, Leilani’s offers the perfect vantage point for viewing amazing sunsets framed by the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The open air dining room offers sweeping ocean views and features a menu of fresh Island fish, seafood, prime rib, steaks,and barbecue ribs. "There were 5 of us for dinner...my husband and I and our 3 guests. We all had something different, and everybody loved their selection. They loved it so much, our friends went back 4 days later!! I had the miso glazed prawns (early bird special) and it was delicious. LOved the red sangria too."

"My husband and I dined here our last night in Hawaii and had an amazing experience. Our server was very helpful and made a wonderful recommendation for me. I had the most amazing fish ever - monchong in a lemon caper butter sauce. I wish we had gone to Leilani's earlier in our trip. I would have gone there every day! "Leilani's is part of the T Group of restaurants (Dukes, Kimo's, Hula Grill) so we knew it had to be good. But this was so much better than good!
My husband had the prime rib (maui beef) that was rare, juicy and nicely seasoned. I had the citrus grilled fish which was swordfish that night. UMMM.
Wonderful food, great service - and HULA PIE! Hula pie is a signature dessert with the T Group, vanilla ice cream with chunks of macadamia nuts, MOUNDED into a chocolate crust, served with hot fudge, chopped macs and whipped cream. Heavenly!"

"This was our second time at Leilani's...the first was wonderful. Service & food were exemplary. No wait time with our open table reservations. This time however we waited 35 min for our reservation. Once seated not one staff member came to greet us, bring us water...it took about 10 min. for someone to stop at our table to acknowledge us, & even longer to get any drinks. After waiting so long for our reservation, this was not what we were expecting! It was very disappointing!!"

"I originally had an issue with our meal but the manager Jason came over even though we didn't ask to see the manager. The manager said that he had taken it off the bill and invited us to come back with a $30 off the next visit. The food was good ...service was excellent and very nice and friendly even though it is in a touristy area they really showed us that they care about having repeat business ... Thanks again to the staff for making dinner enjoyable! See you soon"

"We went to Leilani's twice while on Maui and both times it was very enjoyable. The food is excellent and our servers were personable. Two things I would change - the drinks were a bit weak on alcohol yet very expensive, and to obtain parking validation at Whaler's Village you have to wait for a few minutes after your meal for the manager to show up with a sticker. Not a very good system. But otherwise it was a fantastic meal and an ideal location."

"Leilani's was one of the places on Maui that I repeatedly heard about, so decided to give it a try. The location is incredible. We were sitting on a balcony right next to the beach. You can't get a much better view. The food was really delicious, fresh fish with tasty preparation. They have a great wine list as well. Our service was...weird to say the least. Our server seemed quite odd and less than knowledgeable, but luckily with good wine and a view like ours it was difficult to be upset or annoyed by anything. Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience at Leilani's and I would probably return if I was looking for a restaurant in this area again."

"Felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Without reservations the wait was over an hour. As soon as we arrived we were shown to our table, on the railing overlooking the MAui sunset. Service was very good, great view, food was good and wine list was priced well for the area."

"1st time @ Leilani's . Everything was great. Made the reservation on Open Table, we were sat right away & had a great table, there were 3 of us. We each had a different appetizer, each one was as good as the other. Poki, Sashimi & Chowder, all excellent!! For Dinner my Wife and I shared the Mahi & Tiger Shimp , while my Son had a Fliet. All was good there as well, Mahi was excellent, Filet was really good. Portion size was perfect for us, as I said we shared & it was plenty, but we had appetizers. There was enough room for a Apple Crisp Sunday that was perfect. Also if you like Bread, the bread at the beginning is amazing!! Price point is fine, not overly expensive, I mean its Maui & it was fair. Would go back without thinking about it."

"Great for making a late booking thru OpenTable.
Food good but the view was not as good as on our last visit 6 years ago when we had a beach view of the3 sunset.
This time we were on a small deck in the open but not much view.
My wife's fish was excellent, my prime rib - tasty but all entrees could be hotter!"

"Our table was ready on time. The service began when we sat down and didn't stop through our entire meal. We had a large group, but they did a great job. Wonderful selection of "pupu's", and at least my entree was wonderful. Seared Ahi steak done and spiced just right."

"Overall the food was ok and the drinks watered down. Nothing was bad but nothing was exceptional. The service overall was excellent as they were all extremely attentive and were great at ensuring that we had everything in place for a 2 year old that was within our party.
If you're a foodie, overall you'll be disappointed as the food is just bland."

"The waiter we had was excellent as well as the others working in that area. We felt that the spot we got was very crowded and all we got to see for a view was tons of people walking in front of us. It would have been a good spot for having a quick burger but not for evening dining. My prime rib was OK but was very fatty. I like a bit of marble but mine was a bit much. Thanks"
