"We have been to Lucia a few times. We decided to go there for New Year's Eve Dinner as a family. I made reservations and asked if it was a pre-fixe dinner and they stated "No" that it would be our regular menu. Well,we got there and it was a pre-fixe for $79 per person. It was awful. We waited forever for our food and never got our appetizers. I had to ask for water so many times. We had to follow up with the waiter so many times. They were understaffed and could not handle the holiday. Our steaks were not cooked as prepared. It was just terrible and I will not be back again!!!!!!"

"The restaurant wasn't full, but hostess tried to seat us at the entrance?? They placed the wrong order for main course and forgot drink orders. But the food was great, sea scallop and the sea bass were fabulous, Ahi tuna was ok."

"I had a Rib Eye which i should have sent back after thinking about it. It was very small and over cooked on the outside. The mashed potoatos matched the steak. very little. My friends both had New york strips that were good after they scraped all the salt off. I am not sure what happened seems they forgot my steak and had to rush cook it causing burning and charred. not in a good way. The waiter Anthony did make a good wine recommendation. we were going to order a bottle of Malbec and he switched to a slightly more expensive wine that was worth the price."

"We dine at Lucia often. Food is always prepared wonderfully. Service is hit or miss at times. On this occasion our fa,ily of six was celebrating our son's 17th birthday. First they attempted to seat us facing the food prep area. This after requesting a seat by the window for this special night. We informed our server it was our sons birthday. He stated that they would bring him a dessert item. When we received our bill (which was well over$200). We were charged $8.00 for the slice of cake they brought him, which we did not order. Very disappointing."

"Our experience at Lucia was excellent, great service, great food, great atmosphere. We shared a mezze plate which was too big for the two of us, but tasty and a relaxing way to begin the meal. I had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly, cripsy tasty on the outside and creamy smooth delicious inside ... didn' t really need any of the sauce or adornment when the fish is that good!"

"Very good food....loved the risotto and the vegetable ravioli. Some very good wines by the glass. Server was personable and very good...knew the foods, preparations, and provided smooth service. Lovely decor and lighting.

"Love the local, sustainable food concept this restaurant is trying to employ. Have been here twice and both times all the dishes were excellent. My biggest complaint is that the service is so slow. It's as if someone needs to come in and teach they how to run a kitchen efficiently."

"We enjoyed the scallops and the sea bass. Both were expertly prepared, as if this were a specialty seafood restaurant. We were bragging about our meal to others later in the evening, because every bite was so tasty. I'm going to try to recreate the green chile-apricot chutney that came with the sea bass since that was a great and unique flavor pairing.
I do wish that there were a few more vegetarian options on the main dinner menu. I think there were two entrees on the menu, plus the vegetarian special which is a nod to the environmental goals of Hotel Andaluz. If there were another vegan option, there are a few more people I could invite to join me at Lucia.
I would not have any hesitation to return."

"We were traveling in New Mexico. This was one of the best restaurants that we tried, and by far the best in Albuquerque. I had Scallops for my entree. I think Scallops are a good indicator of a restaurants quality as they are so frequently overcooked. These were browned on the outside, and delicate and lucious on the inside - not the least bit rubbery. The wine list was good and reasonably priced."

"The only issue that kept this experience from the "outstanding" category was the time it took to receive our entrees. However, given the large parties ahead of us, it was understandable. Overall, the experience was great! We ordered the NM Filet and the NY Strip Steak, and both were prepared exactly to our preference. Lucia utilizes local ingredients, making the food extremely fresh in both appearance and taste. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and we will definitely return for dinner again."

"Dinner reservations were scheduled for 7pm on a Friday evening. The restaurant was fairly quiet, which was why I was so baffledat not getting greeted upon seating. Our family waited 15 minutes, no one came by to say "welcome, I'll be right with you" orlet me get your water glasses filled. The waiter in our section passed by our table 2 times, glanced over, never said a word. Itwas the weirdest thing. We left. I let the hostess know, she said "oh, I'm so sorry." I then asked to speak to the manager becauseI KNEW she wasn't going to say a word, after all, it's not her restaurant. When I explained to the manager what happened, he actedlike he didn't understand. This is not how a manger should react, but again, it's not his restaurant"

"We have been regular customers at Lucia for quite some time now. On this occasion, we joined with other foodie friends who also liked Lucia. Our party of 8 was promptly seated; sadly this is the last time I will use the word promptly. Our waiter seemed disorganized as he fluttered around the dining room. It took 15 mins for our waiter (Tony) to make it to our table and an additional 25mins for drinks to reach the table. I suppose we should be thankful that our food arrived 1+ hour after being seated. The food was OK, but not what we have grown to expect. In the end we paid our bill which included an undeserved gratuity and a drink that was not ordered and left. There did not seem to be any management to discuss our concerns with."

"I chose Lucia for Easter dinner not knowing that they were only serving a buffet meal. I checked the hotel website and there was no mention of a buffet. When we arrived we were informed that it was buffet only. The food was quite good, however, the service was not. Fortunately, I checked the bill when it arrived to see that there was an 18% service charge for a party of 2. Since the waiter was already getting his 18%, and all he had to do was serve drinks and clear plates, he didn't make any kind of effort to be personable or particularly attentive. I'm not a fan of buffets so I wouldn't have chosen this particular restaurant had I known in advance. I've eaten at Lucia before and enjoyed the food but it wasn't a buffet."

"It took a bit of time for the waiter to show up initially. He was very attentive throughout the night. The food, steak with peppercorn was a complete disappointment. It was caked with it. It was overwhelming. It killed the entire night for culinary pleasure. In short it was the most disappointing entrée we have ordered at this place. My wife did like the fish special. It was not like her usual the sea bass. I scraped up so much peppercorn it populated two sides of the plate. When I showed this to the waiter, he was clueless. He should have called the manager or the chef. This could have addressed the issue. It did not. We will think twice about coming here in the future."

"While we went early with a 5:30 P.M. reservation during Albuquerque's Restaurant Week, we found the atmosphere to be prestine and enjoyable. The wait staff, Elizabeth, was hospitable and professional. The 4 course meal was exceptional and both the salmon and flat iron steak were cooked to perfection. We would both recommend this restaurant and we will be returning soon as it was excellence personified."

"We enjoyed our experience at Lucia. The food was very good and the service was courteous and timely. It was a little noisy for my taste, but I am 55 and appreciate quiet more and more. We recommend it and we will return at some point."

"Atmosphere is splending. Our server Elizabeth was attentive, well spoken, knew the menu and took fabulous care of us.
The food was great. The Ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned well BUT was served with a red-chile demi glace and green chile polenta. We are not fans of Christmas chile on the plate, so that was a bit disappointing. The mushroom and asparagus risotto was good but very salty unfortunately. We had the creme brulee for dessert and it was perfect! Our server, Elizabeth, helped us choose a nice bottle of wine and she didn't disappoint - it was great!"

"I read several reviews online prior to booking a reservation for dinner. Many of the reviews referenced poor service which I would have to agree with. Upon arrival for our dinner reservation we were promptly seated and then the wait began. After waiting 10 minutes for a server we were greeted and placed our order for an appetizer and drinks only to be told that the draft beers were not working correctly. I am not a wine drinker and prefer a good locally brewed if possible craft beer when dining out so this was a huge turn off for me. The restaurant was not even half full and appeared understaffed. When spending over $100 on a meal for two I expect to have attentive service. Overall food was good but I don't think we will be returning."

"I have eaten at Lucia's several times now, and the food is excellent and the wine list comprehensive. I was a little disappointed in our waiter who was not particularly attentive even though the restaurant was not full. I will go back. Best place for a nice dinner in Downtown ABQ."

"Service was inattentive and slow. The server kept disappearing to get things like drinks or condiments. We were there for brunch on Sunday at 12:30, but only lunch was being served. There were no table cloths on the table, so it made the estaurant feel like just another diner. We were not impressed and wished we had chosen another restaurant that day. The salad and bread was good; however, the sandwiches we ordered looked as if they ad sat for an hur or two before they were served."

"Went to Lucia and had a fantastic time. I was concerned going in reading some reviews. One of the biggest complaints I heard going was the time it took to receive dinner. I agree it took a while, but I would also say that going to a fine dining restaurant is an experience to be savored, not rushed. I would rather they took their time and got it right (and they did) the get my food out to me quickly only to be ushered out the door immediately thereafter for higher turnover. We had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend."

"Every aspect of this restaurant is outstanding.
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday. I chose Lucia and scored a home run!
The steamed mussels were the best we've had in a long time and the grilled ribeye was big and delicious!
Our waiter was super attentive without being a distraction.
We'll definitely be back!"
