After soaking in the TRB’s Santa Barbara mission architecture, you’ll enter and be greeted by a triple arched Brunswick mahogany bar. Large bowls of colorful citrus for making cocktails sit atop a twenty-foot long bar perfect for grabbing a glass of wine or a bite to eat. As you explore further towards the display kitchen, you enter our lounge, also referred to as the wine library. Knotted wood shelves display our wines, divided up by wine region. Windows surround the North side of the dining room, allowing our guests to gaze out onto the fountain in our courtyard. I describe the décor as thoughtful and collective, creating little vignettes for dining areas. We offer two separate outdoor dining experiences: our courtyard with full service and our front porch great for appetizers, drinks and a game of bocce.
"We got a great booth to sit on.except they kept putting all these chairs around us. The waiter didnt state her name until we asked her. She just wasnt inviting, we had to energize her. The food took long time to arrive but was decent when it arived. They woulnt serve alcohol to us, we were given chips to go to bar ourselfs on the other side of the restauraunt. The good thing we didnt feel rushed. Neat spot for its location, inside manhattan beach village."

"Our group of 7 included 2 toddlers, and everyone was made to feel welcome. We sat on the patio, and service was attentive and helpful. There was a special Brunch menu, but the choices were excellent. The shrimp Benedict was quite good, the short rib hash outstanding, and the French toast bread pudding well worth it (although not quite as good as the other choices. The babies were quite happy with their eggs and bacon from the kids' buffet, along with the fruit. First courses included an excellent goat cheese crostini, which we were told is locally sourced, and most of us had and loved. One had tomato bisque, which he seemed to enjoy. Even on a notoriously difficult restaurant day, Tin Roof Bistro came through!"

"Food and service are always great! We enjoy very much the outdoor dining, which is very nice. Late lunch is our favorite time..less children and easier to get a seat. We love the spicy tuna rolls with the wasabi sauce..fantastic!!
In all one of the better dining experiences in the area."

"Check out the lighting fixtures - not just the tin roof! Desert menu a little sparse, but good. We had the short ribs, fish and lasagne. All terrific! And of course, the brussell sprouts ... excellent!"

"This is a terrific place to meet with friends over small plates and drinks. The entrees are good too, but I prefer sharing so you can taste many different flavors. The smartest thing this place does is that the desserts are only $4 and are small, yet decadent. Who wouldn't want to order one, even in body-conscious Manhattan Beach?"

"Very busy restaurant; reservations suggested. A bit too noisy for my taste. Food is good despite the large number of patrons. Prices moderate. Not a place I would rush to come back to."

"WE were so suprised to find this gem...we meet friends often who come from LA and we come from OC...great place to meet...don't let the shopping center setting fool you with lots of chain restaurants...this one is different...very good food, ambiance, and service. We will go again."

"We we surprised that the brussel sprouts were not as good as people said they were. People on yelp raved about them. My husband and I felt they were burnt and not carmelized. They were very tart from the lemon but the burnt taste just took over.
Pizza was good, atmosphere on the patio was wonderful."

"The Tin Roof Bistro is quite popular and I can see why. The service is very good and so is the food. The brussel sprouts were fabulous as our appetizer. Two of us had the short rib panino and one had the pepperoni pizza. Excellent choices!"

"Always a tight fit but we were a table of six and had adequate room. Service was great. I recommend the pizzas if you can't decide on anything else. Their pizza is always great and reheats really nice the next day in the microwave. Try the brussel sprouts! Fantastic."

"Set up a business lunch for out of towners, for its great food and ambience. The meeting went great, food was terrific and the ambience added to the success of our lunch. It also happens to be a family favorite of our young children and for girls' nite. And, we all copy the (or try to) the brussel sprouts."

"My wife & I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago, and my wife had an unauthorized charge on her Credit Card from Tin Roof Bistro. She went to the restaurant with all relevant paperwork & explained the situation to the Mgr. Mgr asked what she would like for her to do in the manner of a gift card or credit? My wife stated that the CC needed to be credited! Mgr assumingly investigated the matter & called back the same day saying the amnt in question would be refunded along with a brief apology & no explanation. We have lived in Manhattan Bch for years & have always supported our local businesses, but we will no longer support Tin Roof thanks to their lack of empathy on something as serious as CC charges. My wife had to cxl & get a new C"

"There's something about this place that makes me want to take a break from it. It is very noisy which isn't so bad, but a lot of the noise is coming from a lot of tables with kids. My husband and I left our kids at home and we don't really go to dinner to hear other people's kids making an unreasonable amount of noise at a restaurant on a Saturday night, so......"

"The food is very good and tasty. I was there (this most recent visit) for a very, very busy lunch service, and I felt that they were trying to rush us. Don't go there for a leisurely lunch. However, it was nothing like a lunch at Gulfstream where the hostess gave us the evil eye, to hurry us from a business lunch. In general, it is a good place for a meal...."

"Previoulsy I didn't really like the menu and couldn't find something I liked. But this time I went, the waitress recommended the grilled cheese sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! My friend and I got the chicken soup and salad with half sandwich. Neither my friehd or I liked their chicken soup. We asked the waitress to change the soup to their soup of the day cream of califlower and that was delicious. So we were both very happy with our meal and I look forward to going back. Great service and great food."

"This was my first visit. We ate inside, but that will be the last time. The "tin roof" - actually, the tin ceiling - and other hard surfaces magnify the noise level to such an extent that my companion and I found ourselves almost yelling at each other. We could not hear the waitress when she stood on the other side of the table. There is a very nice outdoor area which would have been much more pleasant and less noisy, and that is where I will be on any future visits. The service was VERY slow. It took forever just to get a menu. However, the food was quite good. They are justifiably noted for their pizza, among other items. So my recommendation is qualified - get an outside table, and allow PLENTY of time!"

"I find this to be a nice restaurant, but WAY TOO NOISY to ever eat inside! I have terrific hearing and I have trouble when eating inside. The patio is nice, but quite small so it's sometimes difficult to get a reservation. We had a lovely experience due to having a wonderful, helpful and cheerful server. The food is good, but not terrific."
