"We had a nice big table for our family and no one was seated too close to us. The food was excellent except my son's prime rib was a little under done and bland. The other dishes were great and presented well. We were celebrating my daughter's Birthday and Graduation. The atmosphere was wonderful."

"Well, our Mother's Day dinner at Kincaid's was good, but just not great. The staff was very helpful, but they seemed to be understaffed. This is odd for Kincaid's, as I always remember that they had ample staff. That is the reason for us to visit them, as their service was excellent. The wait staff was trying their best, but they were covering too many tables and groups. What was odd was that the place was less than half full. Hope they improve on this."

"We went for Mother's Day. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was delicious! The one unpleasant wrinkle was a hard piece of plastic that got battered and fried along with our calamari. However, the manager came over and apologized to us personally, and we got the dish for free, so no hard feelings. On our way out, the hostess thanked us by name. I couldn't believe she remembered. They gave us a coupon for future use, and I definitely intend to use it!"

"Kincaid's has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. They can be a bit pricey so its not an everyday kind of restaurant but not something that needs to be reserved for a special occasion. Their food is spectacular so it is not overpriced, just high quality. Their burnt cream is to die for. Not to mention, the views of the harbor are wonderful around sunset. I always leave very happy with my experience."

"I am a salmon lover, so when I saw the salmon special for lunch, I was excited. I was not disappointed. The salmon was done perfectly as baked medium rare (reommended by waiter). The inside of the fish was still a deep, dark, rich orange color, while the outside was a lighter orange color. It was topped with a sweet aioli sauce with green pepper corns. The fish just melted in your mouth! So good.
The waiter was very courteous and humorous. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and has a nautical favor. Looking out through large picture windows, you can see the fishing vessals passing in and out of the Kewalo Basin Harbor.
I would recommend anyone to visit and enjoy."

"This place has an excellent happy hour. It's location in the corner of ward warehouse is the perfect place to get away from the city grind and relax. It has big windows with a view overlooking Ala Moana Park and you can enjoy it from the comfort of the AC inside of the lounge. I've never had to fight or have anxiety over them being too overcrowded either.
They have a pretty solid menu, albeit a bit pricey, but their fresh fish dishes in particular are deliciously on point. I would go again."

"Once a very solid and reliable Honolulu restaurant, Kincaid's appears to have lost a step. The service and ambiance are all still good, and the views are very nice, but the food has definitely gone downhill. We ordered two meat dishes, and both were poorly prepared, and one was served cold. While management was very kind and attentive, and re-prepared the dishes (which were very good the second time around), this is obviously not an optimal dining experience, or even a good one. Would I come back again? Probably, I would if I were joining friends or family there. But I wouldn't choose it, especially when the Honolulu restaurant scene is as competitive and high quality as it is. Bottom line, why take the chance unless necessary?"

"I was really impressed with the service, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. I have been eating at this restaurant every so often for many years, since even before it was named Kincaid's. If I could recommend anything I would say that you might want to start looking into refurbishing some areas, as the wear and tear on the furnishing is starting to show a little. Other than that it was great overall. The complimentary dessert for our anniversary was really a great touch and very much appreciated."

"I've been going to this restaurant for 15 years and never had as terrible service as I had last night with server Aaron. This guy was completely uncooperative with the menu items, didn't seem interested to be there, and had some kind of subtle smugness about him as if he thought that his control over the ordering process wouldn't have repercussions. In a period of about five minutes the I've resolved to not eat dinner here again for several months. I was so incensed by the way he treated me and my dinner guests; were it not for the particular situation, I would have just stood up and left long before any food was brought out.
I used to take people to this restaurant frequently, and tell others about how great it is. Not anymore."

"Special lunch sandwich was delicious. Menu variety suited everyone's tastes -- vegetarian and meat lovers. Loved sweet potato fries. But very noisy and it was hard to hear conversation on our table because of noise from other diners on other tables who were just talking. I would go back again but ask for a quieter section of room if available."

"Our meal was excellent and the service was great. Have a drink at the bar before and you will overlook the marina. We both had beef (prime rib and ribeye) and both were super delicious. I would also recommend the bread pudding for dessert."

"We haven't been to Kincaid's for a while so it was nice to have dinner there. We had noted that we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff was aware of it which made it nice and we were given a complimentary dessert, which was very nice and unexpected. I had the prime rib/shrimp scampi combo, which was very good. The prime rib was so soft. My husband had the medallion steak which we thought was a small portion. We had to have the crab artichoke dip, which is always great. We did notice that the prices went up with the change of the menu."

"We've been going to Kincaid's often recently & found this experience was not as great. We realized that it was the server that was a little different. Usually the servers will introduce themselves, this one did not. Usually they engage in some friendly conversation, this one also did not. It really adds to the dining experience & our willingness to return or not. This was the best food I've had. Hopefully our server will have more personality next time. I couldn't remember the name of the wonderful server we had last time, but I will have to remember to ask for her specifically from now on."

"I still couldn't remember the name of the wonderful server we had on a previous visit to Kincaids. We saw her but was not seated in her section. :( Rae, her name is Rae. I will have to commit that to memory. Our server, Aaron was better than the other server we had before. At least he made an effort to be personable. We realized that there's a fine line between enough truffle oil and TOO MUCH truffle oil. We will opt for none in the future. I'm sure it's all personal preference with that, though. My sister always has the scallops with the ahi tartare, tobiko & burre blanc. I've tried many different dishes, but I'd say stick to the beef dishes."

"Awesome night. Definitely one we will remember for years to come. Service was the best Ive ever experienced, and the food...WoW. From Appetizer to Desert, everything was perfect. Our Waiter "Aaron" suggested our entree's, he was spot on. It was like he could read our minds and new what we wanted. The GM, Jennifer Hoss, Visited our table to ask how our night was going. Really felt pampered by the time we were done with our evening."

"We'd been coming here for over 20 years, and have had some great meals, but this is a location well past its prime. The place has clearly been bought out by a chain, and we were offered memberships and "Please come back" come ons on 2 separate occasions. This was weird, but consistent with the rest of the experience. Neither the food nor the service was up to standards of years past, and the half empty dining room clearly indicates that we're not alone in this feeling. Sad to say we will not be back. The Oahu dining scene has improved too much to waste time at a place like this."
