"Amarelle is a gorgeous place, with romantic lighting...spectacular atmosphere from the moment you drive into the parking lot.

I wanted to love the place, and did while having a glass of wine at the beautiful bar. The bar tender was friendly and welcoming, the wine good...although I think they need to post their wines with prices...$13 a glass was a bit of a surprise when the bill came!

Once seated, the waiter took away the magical feel of the place. He wasn't at all friendly or helpful. The service was extremely slow, with only 3 tables occupied...why?

The food was listed as half or whole portions of entrees, no appetizers. My mussels were delicious, my papardelle with lobster way too buttery. $150 for two. Not sure I'd retu"

"Steve catered out wedding two years ago, and we received a lot of compliments to the chef. We heard he opened a restaurant in Wading River, and we knew the food had to be great. It was obvious that a lot of detail went into the ambiance, service, and menu. (Which, by the way, did not surprise us.) Steve visited our table several times to ensure we were comfortable. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and honest. The food was excellent. I had the mushroom ruganot (not sure if I spelled it correctly) and it was awesome. The lamb stuff with spinach and mushrooms was perfectly done. Food is very tasty. Deserts and Drinks were also very good. We're looking forward to going back in the summer for outside seating."

"Both the food and service are phenominal at Amarelle. This is our second visit to the resteraunt and we were not disapointed. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is top notch. They were truly on top of both. My wife appreciates the ability to have portion control on all menu items and the special drinks of the season are very tasty as well."

"Amarelle is high on my list of favorite restaurants to dine at. It has consistently met my high standards of delicious unique food with good portion sizes, excellent service, and a great ambiance. I especially like the option of portion sizes on all appetizers/salada/ & main entrees. The complimentary appetizer and dessert is a small positive gesture of the restaurants high quality. A great value for a superb meal."

"They missed our salad on a prix fixe. Never bothered to even make up for it or even apologize. The food was good and manageable portion. The restaurant had loud music which in my opinion can hinder personal conversations. The service makes me choose not to go there again or recommend to my friends."

"The food and the service were fantastic - definitely upscale. Very romantic - fireplace, harp player, mode. Valentine's Day was a pre fix menu. The selections were definitely worth the price - $69/perso The best seating arrangement is a table for two. I don't see how Amarelle would be attractive to families - neiyher price or food selection."

"Overall, good experience. Ambiance and Service were very good. Majority of food was very good, presentation was nice. Main entrees were small for the fixed price menu. They did not come with any edible sides. Crab cakes were not very good - expected lump crab meat, were very breaded and small. For the amount of money, a little disappointed in the food portions. Not sure if we'd go back if a fixed menu. Enjoyed our first experience there much better when it wasn't a fixed menu."

"Love this cozy restaurant in picturesque Wading River. Great wine list and cocktails at the very cool bar are terrific. The well thought out menu offers great choices in addition to a Chef's Tasting menu on weekends. Had a sturdy beef barley and leek soup that was rich with beefy flavor followed by a massive perfectly roasted pork chop in a blood orange reduction with the most delicious potatos (done "au sel" cooked slowly in chicken broth then sauteed in clarified butter--I asked) I've ever eaten. Don't know when I enjoyed a pork chop more. My husband's seared duck breast was juicy with perfectly crisped skin. The food here has been consistently top notch and the room is so comfortable. Easily one of the best kitchens on the North Fork."

"After being open just six months, this gem of a restaurant continues to impress, particularly with the food. A lovely dining room, friendly wait staff and reasonable prices given the quality of the food. I'd consider Amarelle one of the top five restaurants on eastern Long Island, easily in the top three for fine dining on the North Fork. The wine list has been improved and offers very interesting wines at fair prices. They added a library wine selection that any oenophile will love. But the food across the board is delicious and elegantly presented. Last night I had the most tender Kobe strip loin served with millefeuille potatoes and sauteed cippolini onions. The meat was beefy and flavorful, cooked as ordered. Can't wait to return."

"We dine out quite often and are real foodies, We tried Amarelle after reading the wonderful reviews from newsday and the Times. We were impressed by the decor and setting as we entered. Each dish we ordered came to us better than the next. Truly amazing,quite a talented culinary team, we even met Chef Lia, the wine list was impressive and service was beyond our expectations. Kudos to the folks at Amarelle, world class restauarant in such a quaint country setting. My family will definetly add this to our favorites list and be back soon!!!!"

"The food was fabulous and the presentation beautiful. Had the Amarelle salad - full portion - and then small plates of the homemade paparadelle, lobster pot pie and scallops. All were delicious! The only bummer? We had the s'mores dessert and we were really looking forward to it. However, it did disappoint. The bread pudding was fair as well. A little disappointed to end the night on that note. However, they did decorate the plate with HAPPY BIRTHDAY :) The service was wonderfl - very attentive."

"food, service, decor, everything was amazing. Food was presented beautifully. I like the plated apple for a centerpeice on the tables-very nice for autumn. I think this restaurant is a real find and hope it continues to be a success. The chef uses fresh local ingredients- what ever is available for the season. The cream of caulifower soup was so delicious, rich and creamy and just right for a chilly nite out. The chef is also very creative with adding flavors such as vanilla essence to the roasted chicken and parsnip puree-YUM! Also- a must have is the Baked Macaroni and Cheese which is out of this world. Crunchy topping with creamy cheese sauce. It was a pleasure dining here. We can't wait to go back"

"Unfortunately, they were probably shorthanded the night we were there. Took 15 minutes to see a waiter and only because we asked for them. Appetizer took 1-1/2 hours to get.When entrees came out, they were not hot.They need someone to oversee the restaurant.However, since the food was quite good, we would certainly give it another try."

"Upon arrival for a 745 reservation we found no host at the door to greet us but rather a swarm of folks also waiting to be sat/greeted. Then the dull hostess appeared and simply dispatched us by saying "you'll have to wait" Finding her cadence funny we siddled up to to the bar to order some drinks. The bartender was equally flat and once we had our glasses of wine in hand he barked that the bill was 20 bucks. When we were finally sat we found a bustling dining room with a smattering of empty non set tables. Our waitress while knowledgedable about the food appeared and disappeared. The food is great and the menu terrific it feels the back of the house has it down but the front of the house is overwhelmed. We will give it another chance"
