Lebanese Taverna creates an environment where good food is enjoyed in good company. Each restaurant is a "home away from home," even though the food and ambiance are from across the globe. Whether you are visiting for the first time, the twentieth, or have been coming to a Lebanese Taverna for over 29 years, you will feel welcomed and like a member of the family. The atmosphere is bustling and each of the restaurants has its own design and slightly different flavors. That is because the food is made fresh, and each Chef has his or her own "touch" that keeps you coming back for more. We look forward to serving you again and again.
"I have been trying to go here for a while & ended up doing so for Mother's Day. This was amazing! I love Mediterranean food so this was the place to fulfill it. Had a nice crowd (especially since the holiday makes it very iffy). Was a set price for the menu. All you care to eat. What the best part was you get the menu & and order what you want as much as you want & it is brought out to you. I loved that! much better than going up & down to a buffet table. Service was awesome, quick, & very informative/attentive. I would recommend & am going back hopefully soon. Would love to try there Hummus Happy Hour"

"Maybe an off night, but a lot of mistakes on our order. Should have just done small plates. Two diners ordered Lamb Kabob. Five minutes later were told they were out of Kabob. Really? One diner, reordered shwarma and rice. Instead of rice as requested, he got under cooked french fries. The other Kabob diner changed to Lamb Shank (same as 2 other diners at our table). When the entrees were presented, the poor diner who first ordered the Kabab was told they were out of Lamb Shank, while the other 6 people now had entrees. His 3rd order was a shwarma sandwich with a salad, and was promptly served, but with under cooked fries-surprise! Adding to this, our waiter was scarce, so almost no beverage refills. Off night, I guess."

"Fairly good middle eastern-style restaurant It's about what you can expect from a chain that prepares reasonably consistent and decent food. It's one of the better restaurants in this area if you want something healthy or vegetarian, which is where my 4 stars came in."

"I was let down and disappointed, we ordered the kalamar and falafel as an appetizer. The kalamar was extremely fried to a hard crisp. The squid in the crust was hard and rubbery. The falafel had the same prpblem, burnt and over fried. I had ordered the sharwarma platter and cloud not believe that it cost 17 dollars and it came with 3oz of meat. I would never come back here ever again."

"As always, food is consistently good whether one selects the "little plates" (as appetizer or meal) or en entree. Salmon is nice variation from the steak house versions. Staff is always pleasant. Have never been disappointed either at lunch or dinner. Main dining area can seem a bit noisy in a cheery way. Side rooms and bar area are allternative. There is outside area near parking garage which we have never tired"

"I went on a Sunday and there was hardly any customers. It was nice and quiet where me and my guest was able to enjoy our conversation. The Salmon is a must have!! It was the best Salmon I ever had. This is a great restaurant for special occasions and dates. I will be back for the Salmon! The service was outstanding A++"

"Went on Easter Sunday. Were told the chef would not accept any substitutions on the menu. The manager eventually intervened, but my wife's lunch was cold by the time she got it. Also, there were items on the menu which they did not have. I have always found Lebanese Tverna to have great food and excellent service. Here the service fell very short, and had a negative impact on the food rating."

"This was my second time coming to this restaurant. The food was good; however, my first choice entrees were not available. I would pick a dish and told it was not available. It was not a good experience."

"I have had better experiences. Took my family for a birthday celebration. The food took a long time to come out and it was cold when it did. It took a long time to flag down a waiter to let them know. They threw the food on the grill again. I revived my daughters plate. The food was completely disheveled. It did not taste as good after it was reheated, they did handle the birthday part well but did not offer anyone at the table dessert other than the birthday girl. I will try again with hopes the service will be better next time."

"Food was tasty and prepared nicely. The Baklava desert was a disappointment. I've had much better Baklava and a larger portion in other DC area restaurants."

"Located in Tyson's galleria, a nice option in the mall. Reasonably priced and small plate options allow you to select a number of different foods. We really like the chicken kabobs and will be back"

"Not their best day. Waiter twice promised to bring extra garlic sauce for my guest and me. Never did. Had to flag him down after drinks were empty. Chicken in Shawarma platter was very dry. :-("

"We booked an early time as this restaurant gets busy on Saturday night. The service was great and the food delicious. We both ordered the sample plate and left feeling satisfied and full. As we were early, we beat the crush (waiting at the door) and the noise level was tolerable. I only wish that the tables were a bit larger and not so close together. I would not go to this restaurant at peak times as in the past, when we have done that, the noise level is intolerable. But our evening went great and we were able to carry on a conversation without shouting."

"The food w as delicious and very authentic tasting. The sevice was great also, the staff was very attentive and acaccommodating. The atmosphere was not bad, but the seating was very open and close so it allowed for little to no privacy."

"Love this restaurant. The hummus is so good! We really enjoyed the grilled chicken, rice, tabbouleh, baba ghanoush (not sure of the spelling -but tt is the roasted eggplant with tahini, garlic, and lemon). the bread is fresh and goes well with the zhatta and olive oil. The service is outstanding, very friendly. We will definitely come back the next time we are in northern VA. Wish they would open a restaurant in NJ."

"I came here with my grandparents, parents, and boyfriend to celebrate a birthday. The service was attentive and prompt. The food was delicious, as always. When we told them we were there for a birthday, after having paid the check, our server, Mickael, brought a piece of baklava for each person to enjoy. One of my family's favorite restaurants, it never disappoints. One negative is that it can be noisy at times, but generally the noise is tolerable."

"The menu has recently changed with less options but server assured us anything we wanted could be ordered. Kibbeh was delicious appetizer while the lamb with spiced rice hit the spot. As did my chicken kabobs. We always love Lebanese Taverna,"

"Reasonable prices keep us coming back. We're a group of 6 or 8 or 4 -- and this place is flexible when we come in. The hummus is the BEST! Chicken shwarma with the extra garlic sauce is so tasty, zippy -- it sings in my mouth! Service is great, polite, patient. It's a go-to spot when I'm at Tysons II."

"The food was excellent. The service was poor. We were pretty much ignored and had to get up to get the waiter. One of us asked for a wine refill and did not get it. We had to hound another waiter for it.
When the restaurant is full, it is very loud.
I still think the food was worth wading through the bad service."

"Excellent and ample food, but between mall parking aggravations and the service being overwhelmed by the customer volume, I don't think we'll be returning to this particular location anytime soon."

"This was one of my favorite restaurants! I went back Friday. Now, I am not sure I will go back. My friends and I would order 6 or more Mezzas (small plates) to share. My two favorites were camel wings and French fries. Someone changed the menu! They removed the camel wings and cut down the number of Mezzas by more than 1/2. They took the French fries off too but you can ask and get them. The French fries used to be flavorful enough not to need anything else, no dipping sauce. Now the French fries are bland. I think the frozen ones from the grocery store are better as are McDonalds (even if they are a bit too salty). I don't know if I want to back. This makes me sad as I really liked going there!"
