"I took my family here to give it a try and we were pleasently surprised. We all love seafood to view and eat and this place offered both. You are able to sit around a huge aquarium and watch the fish while making jokes picking out your meal. The waiter Joseph was exceptional he was very attentive to all of us and even when the kitchen made a mistake on one of our meals he noticed as he served us. The food came out hot and the appetizer was exceptional."

"Food and drinks were okay but pricey. for the price I would expect to have left overs. Not enough food for that whatsoever. Were we sat, other people were throwing little blue stones at the tank and it was hitting our group. The tank is nice to look and is a great distraction as you wait for your food. Would not dine there regularly but would go back once or twice more in my life time..."

"I really like the restraunt but I did have a couple disappointments
The food was fair. It lacked seasoning.
The service was very poor. After we got our food we had
Requested a condiment and he never returned with it.
I was left very thirsty as my drink was not refilled.
I thought maybe he had taken a break but than I saw
Him at other tables. The server on the next table
Was very good, informative, and attentive to her table
I wish we would have had her."

"We booked for 2 people for a 9 o'clock sitting. In my online reservation, I specifically asked to be seated near the aquarium wall, rather than further away, but only if it was possible. I understand that there could be other people who may have booked this area first.

So we arrive at the restaurant, and there is hardly anyone there. I guess because it was pretty late. There were maybe 2 other groups eating in the restaurant. Then we were seated in a booth - as FAR AWAY as possible from the wall of the aquarium. There were literally a dozen tables right up against the wall of the aquarium, all empty, and I just coudn't understand why my simple request could not be accommodated!! The food was average."

"After reservations made, I was running late and my daughter decided to go with us (my mother and I). After calling The Denver Aquarium to advise them that we were running late and to add a guest, the Aquarium was very receptive and accommodating. Upon arriving they asked my daughter to see if the table that they picked for us was acceptable. Everything was perfect, food, server (waitress). My Mother, Daughter and myself are in awe. Price for food and very competitive. It is my belief that i speak for all three of us that it will be a very remember able afternoon."

"Everything was absolutely wonderful! The service was impeccable. We dined in the Water Room and our server was Joseph. He was very professional, knowledgeable and fun to be around. There were 10 of us in our party and each couple purchased the Landry's dining card as we knew we would be back for this experience time and time again.

The food and drinks in the restaurant were fabulous and eating while being entertained by the aquarium and the mermaid show was the cherry on top. Taryn helped plan our event at the Downtown Aquarium and she was a huge help to us and made helpful suggestions for us to celebrate our kids birthday party.

What a great day we had - we will most certainly be back!"

"We were very disappointed in our meal at the Aquarium Restaurant. We went for lunch on Saturday and were immediately told there is no lunch menu on weekends. The food was very poor -- tasteless, out of a box, cafeteria fare. My daughter ordered a hamburger "medium-well done" and it came to her practically raw. She sent it back and got it back after the rest of us had finished our meals. No apology or credit. The ambiance was nice with the aquariums surrounding you.
Food we had for lunch: Fish & Chips; Chicken Wrap; Cheeseburger; Cheese-steak Sandwich; Chicken Strips; Corn Dogs, Pasta. Really disappointing."

"While the aquarium restaurant has a lot of expensive items on the menu it is worth the price to impress. We went for my girlfriends Birthday and she loved every minute of it. The food was delicious and well sized and the wait wasn't too long while looking at the fish."

"We went to the Aquarium to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday. It was a great experience for the adults and kids. The food was wonderful, but the wall of aquariums was really spectacular. We enjoyed watching the fish swim, and we especially enjoyed the mermaids. The entire experience was better than expected. We all had a truly wonderful evening."

"Went with my kids and didn't realize how good the food was going to be. The food was awesome and you get great portions. Seeing fish in these large fish tanks in the walls was great. no matter where you sat you had a great view of the fish.The only thing that happenened that was dissapointing was we got our main meal first before our appitizer.We did order an appitizer in hoping to have it before our main meal but well the main meal came first. They were very appoligetic and said they would take it off our ticket. I told them they didn't need to do that and to bring it out anyways. Well they took it off and then we didn't receive it. I then had to ask for them if we could get the appitizer they were sorry and brought it our for free."

"Went and celebrated 4 yr anniversary on 4-20-13. Had so much fun with my daughter and husband. Our server Sonja was AMAZING!!! She was so helpful!!! she continued to ck on us through out dinner to make sure we were good to go. She had such a great attitude the whole night!! staff was so helpful and friendly. "The service was the worst I have seen at any restaurant. The server was great and it wasn't his fault that we waited 1-1/2 hours for our food. You had six cooks in the back and decided to let 3 go home. We were a party of 7 (four adults and 3 kids) and a party of six adults came in over a 1/2 of an hour after us and was served way before us. The party of six adults left before we even had our food.

My son has worked for Macaroni Grill for many years and he said it was the worst service he has seen especially when it wasn't busy.

You had our server tending bar at the same time he was trying to wait on four tables. Not good management."

"We made a reservation and were asked to wait an additional 15 min with small children. They had a prom event and we as members, were asked to wait. It's a pricey membership to pay and feel like we weren't a priority. Our waitress tried very hard, and was personable but clearly stretched."

"We very much enjoyed our Broiled Fisherman's Platter dinner, however we mentioned to the waitress to let the chef know the crab and shrimp dressings were way too spicy. For individuals who like the flavor of each kind of seafood, these two were so hot the flavor of the seafood was overpowered with spice. Otherwise, the atmosphere and most of the dinner was excellent. We plan to return, however would not order this dish again."

"The atmosphere at lunch was amazing! We had a table right next to the aquarium and it was hard to focus on anything but the fish! My only quam was that the entrees were way too expensive for adults; the kids meal wasn't outrageously priced. I ordered the grilled salmon, which was around $22. I would have expected to get a salad or soup along with my meal, but it came with just assorted veggies and rice... albeit the salmon was delish. Would dine again, if not just for the fishies!"

"We had my teenage daughter's birthday dinner there. We sat downstairs in an area that was secluded from the rest of the restaurant, which was nice. My 4 and 5 year old Goddaughters and everyone else enjoyed the fish in the tank. The waiter was very knowledgeable about what fish were in the tank. Overall, we had a great experience. Also, the serving sizes are fairly large, so means could have been shared. Parking was validated, so we didn't have to pay! That was certainly a plus!"

"We went early to avoid the rush. I called early to find out about costs and parking. I was told our parking ticket would be validated and we would not have to pay the $7 fee. When we got there we were told the validation of the parking ticket didn't begin until 6. Fortunately they validated it for us anyway since that was the information we were given. "The service was terrible the waiter was the only good part. I asked to be in the water room and the lady said that they weren't sitting people in there even though when we left there were 5 people sitting down there. It was also my birthday so I went during "happy hour" and apparently they weren't doing happy hour that week they also don't do anything for birthdays. The restaurant itself is an absolute joke. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"I was disappointed that the resturaunt boasts the aquarium, but unless you are at a table on the glass you really cant see. The water is only on one side of the resturaunt. Hope to get a table on that side!
Also, my party of 3 had an 18% gratuity added directly to the bill and was not disclosed.
The server ended up with a larger tip than deserved for a brunch course. I beleive in Karma......."

"The food was okay but not great and service was pretty slow. The main thing that made us decide to eat there was the dessert tray of beautiful looking desserts, but by the time we were ready to order dessert we were told that everything on the dessert menu except for 2 things (and not the 2 things we wanted) were sold out so that was extremely dissapointing. The fish were fun to watch though."

"Second time dining here. Food is horrible and obscenely priced. Only reason to eat here is to let kids see the fish in the surrounding tanks. "Our waitress was horrible! If I had her again, I would not go back. She spilt our appetizer on the table, took three times asking to refil a drink, she wouldn't listen when we said no to dessert, avoided our table at the end of the meal and didnt give me an itemize receipt. Our meal was over 200.00 and the food was great. But if all of their servers were like this one, I wouldn't send anyone there."

"The service was okay but it took almost an hour to receive our food and the quality was not worth the wait. We were warned when ordering our food that the kitchen was running behind but we didn't think it would take that long. We even ordered easy food items. My husband and I had soup and sandwiches and my son had fried shrimp and chicken. The food was nothing too special. The only nice thing was the close view of the aquarium which kept our son entertained but he was even dissatisfied with the wait and made his voice heard. I would not recommend going back unless it was a super slow day. It's not as impressive as it looks online."

"This was overall a pleasant experience, thanks to Open Table. When we arrived, others were told it would be a 45 minute wait but with our prior reservation we were seated immediately. While the food was good, we felt it was a little on the pricey side for what you got, but our waiter was very accommodating when two of us wanted to share an entree. It arrived already separated on to two plates which was very nice. As for a quiet evening out - forget it - the music is so loud and distracting it is hard to carry on a conversation or relax after touring the Aquarium."
