"Five is a great restaurant to take a date to, but make sure you ask for a booth otherwise it can be a bit noisy. The food was good, I would rate it better but I think I got something average not the restaurant's fault by any means. I must say that the service here is amazing, it is truly a team effort and they are very well coordinated."

"Good food and service. The noise wasn't too bad. Hostesses, or Hostettes, should smile more and worry less about being snobbishly cool. Good for a special night out with my wife. Would go again."

"For the prices and quality of the food you might expect a lovely dining experience. Not so. It was so raucous and noisy it was like TGI Fridays when you were in college, complete with a tipsy customer behaving silly in the front lobby. There were lots of people in shorts and flip flops, loud whooping and the dining room was crowded and chaotic with the noise of the bar scene spilling out. Even though we had a booth we had to talk so loud it was not the enjoyable, adult dining experience we had planned. Skip Five Restaurant and go across the street to Campagnia next time you want a fine dining experience. Even Yosemite Ranch, which is crowded, doesn't feel tacky and noisy like this experience did, especially for the price, ouch."

"bread was actually stale on a sunday evening..service was excellent. .beautiful restaurant..great salads..great fillet with mashed potatoes. ..unfortunately my fish with chile rellano came overcooked n rubbery! I specified undercooked fish please...didn't get it..n by the time server came to check..my friend was all done..so I took mine home sadly for my kitties. chile rellano was tasty."

"The food was unique and delicious, although it didn't totally blow me away. I found a little bone in my sole, which was troublesome. Also, the waiter came back twice to ask what our dessert order was, so we told him three times total. I wish he had written it down!
I would go back, though! There aren't many unique, affordable, nice restaurants in Fresno, and overall, this one is a keeper!"

"We eat here fairly regularly. Food is consistently good. Had the filet and substituted risotto for the mashed potatoes, steak was very good. A great cut and cooked just the way I like it Med rare ++. They need to work on their Cesar salad. I love Cesar's and this was thrown together. An after thought. My wife had the shrimp salad and she commented that it was delicious."

"We visited Five Restaurant on our 41st wedding anniversary, the menu, food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. Management greeted us when we sat down, was attentive and courteous, without being a nuisance.
