"Mezze simply serves the best food within at least 50 miles in any direction: that includes Albany-Saratoga area and the Berkshires. Locally sourced menu, expertly prepared, served with unobtrusive yet friendly care. We have been there twice, and not a single wrong note either time, from the aperitifs to dessert. Mezze is worth seeking out."

"we had a very good meal dinner at Mezze. This was our second time there while visiting the Berkshires. The restaurant was very quiet on a Monday eve in late April. There was no loud noise, making it easy to talk. We each chose a pasta dish as we had meat the eve before. Both meals were very good, with unique flavors. Our waitstaff were very efficient and quiet, very attentive. A delightful evening."

"Tries to be very eclectic, but it doesn't always work. Had a soup where the unusual mix of ingredients did not go particularly well together, and a meat dish with a sauce and they also simply did not work together. With the prices paid it was a disappointing meal. The service was excellent. Our waitress was pleasant, helpful and attentive."

"Nice choice for dinner in Williamstown. Food was well prepared and presented, with an emphasis on local sourcing. Vintage beet salad was delicious, as was the pate. Both were good sized portions, and fresh - gave the impression that it was prepared to order and not sitting in the fridge waiting. "Biggest" piece of trout with kale and potato underneath for one and a nicely spiced chicken with the same sides for the other. Waitress selected the right wines for each of us. She was attentive without hovering, and answered each question firmly. Minor negative was the choice of flooring and walls, which allowed noise to bounce around even with the restaurant not really close to being full."

"We had a bad experience. A featured ingredient on the menu is Fleur de Sel. My pulled pork sandwich was almost inedible because it was so salty. Further, it tasted like the chef used Kraft BBQ sauce. The lemon potato chips were too salty to eat. And for the life of me I don’t get how lemon is paired with potato chips. It doesn't work. In addition, about 1/4 of the chips were burned black.
The service was poor. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes before the waitress showed up. It took almost 15 minutes for us to get our drinks, and that includes flagging down our waitress. We had to ask for the bread after our starter was delivered."

"Inconsistent and overpriced. The chef's asian inflections are sometimes creative and thoughtful, but suffer a bit in execution. It may be we were victims of the time of year for a restaurant that tries to use local ingredients, so early in Spring there is nothing fresh to offer, but we're all tired of winter fare. The wild salmon was good but very plain and the presentation was downright unattractive, with the gray skinside up, topping a lame dollop of sauteed spinach and undercooked carrots. The beet appetizer was nice on the plate, but there was no creative charge to it or the other appetizer we ordered, the pate. Fun and different was the spicy popcorn with Nori starter. Considered as a whole, the meal didn't come together well."

"We picked this restaurant because it featured items/foods from the local area. We both ordered pasta dishes and the food was very salty. My husband ordered the cavelleti pork shoulder and the pork was minimal in the dish. Our waitress, although very adequate, never introduced herself but rather started with "sparkling or tap"? Overall, our experience was good, the views are nice. However, I would not visit this restaurant again if I was in the area."

"We make a point of visiting Mezze whenever we are in Williamstown. (We live in Baltimore.) It never disappoints. The menu is interesting and varied -- food we can't duplicate at home. Only complaint is that in one sitting we can't order everything we would like to try. The wine list includes mostly organic and some word I can't remember (biodynamic?) wines. In my experience they are just so-so. Maybe my taste is too conventional. Otherwise, I can't praise Mezze too highly. We have eaten all over the world, and this restaurant is one of our very favorites."

"My boyfriend and I had the most delicious dinner here last weekend. The food was phenomenal, and the wine list was very different and reasonably priced (we chose a great red blend). Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely go back!"

"What a great place. This is our 3rd or 4th visit and each time has been great. The server and busser where great fun (we quizzed the busser on ingredients and she stepped up and found out). Kale Caesar was amazing. Tried the experimental pig trotter stuffed with sweetbreads. Yummy, but still needs a bit of work on presentation. Keep trying!"

"Mezze is the only really good restaurant in the Williamstown area. It had loads of local organic food, and it is cooked to perfection. I would recommend the hen of the woods mushrooms to anyone who hasn't tried them before. Also the service at Mezze is great, prompt and alert but not over bearing or nosy. If your looking to go on a nice date, or just go eat with some friends this is the best place in the area."

"Third time to Mezze, each time has met/surpassed expectations. Food is fresh/seasonal from local farms/resources, creative entrees, small plates and desserts. For starter, had brown butter popcorn with truffle salt, amazing! Squash soup with cara cara orange was fabulous, wonderful combination. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere."

"Was a wonderful date night with my husband. The restaurant was full when we arrived at 9:15pm but our table was ready and waiting. The atmosphere very nice, elegant without being too pretentious. The wine was fabulous and the menu options were unique and quite delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"The food was great, but our service was so slow! To start it took our server 15 minutes to bring our drinks and as the evening wore on it just got slower & slower. By the time she finally brought the check it took her 20 minutes just to pick it up again. Bring an extra sweater if it's a really cold night - we were not allowed to bring our coats inside & the dining room was not as warm as they insisted it was - we were all freezing by the time we left."

"Atmosphere was warm and welcoming after a day of skiing with my husband. Austrian wine by the glass was a treat as was the warm, frequently served bread. Overall food was dissapointing...steak was not overly favorful nor hot. Our salad didn't taste as if it had any blue cheese in the dressing and the sun dried tomatoes were hard. I think we will try another spot on our next visit to Williamstown."
