"We traveled over an hour to come to this restaurant. We ordered the chicken saltimbocca, pizza forte and chocolate pizza. The chicken for the saltimbocca was really dry and almost rubbery but the flavor was good. The pasta was a little too wet for my taste although I did like the flavor. I was hoping for a more extensive wine by the glass list but it was pretty small but I was glad to see that there was variety. The pizza forte was delicious - I love the tomato sauce they use because it has whole plum tomatoes so it felt very hearty. The chocolate pizza was ok - it was a bit skimpy on the raspberry sauce and the chocolate - I was hoping it would be more gooey. Our server was attentive but our food wasn't particularly exciting."

"the chef has clearly taken the time to craft a nice menu. but the food just didn't have much flavor. sauce was too thin. service was more diner like that cloth napkin like. won't bother going back. unless its to try the brick oven pizza."

"Our reservations were for 6 but another person was added at the last minute and the staff was very accomodating. They easily gave us a bigger table neaby. The service was excellent and our food arrived in good time. Everyone was pleased with their choice. We are a local art group that meets in the building next door and Ricciuti's is perfect for our pre-meeting gatherings of from 4 - 10 people"

"Our group of 4 shared a starter of beets and goat cheese which very good and which we teamed up with a nicely-tart hummus which also came with goat cheese. Portions were adequate for sharing. Two of our group had the always-excellent pizza. One of us had a bison-burger and the other had the bison steak which were both tasty. The steak was served on a delicious sauce. Dessert was nice chocolate pizza and a caramel sundae concoction that was delicious.
Our server was attentive, and the overall service from ordering, to kitchen to table was prompt without appearing rushed."

"We made a reservation and showed up at the restaurant at 3:30 pm for an early dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Even though they were open, we were met at the door and seated by someone who seemed surprised by our early arrival. We were seated a small, square table, which seemed a bit small for the 4 of us. There were other larger tables in the dining room. We were provided with both the lunch and dinner menus and told we could order from either one. I ordered a lunch size portion of the spinach lasagna but was brought and charged for the dinner portion. All in all, we found the ambiance pleasant, the food good, but way over priced for what we got and the service we received. We probably won't go back."

"Food was very good, I liked the fact that they utilize local growers. My mistake: when I made the reservation I should have asked for a table on the lower level. 2 people in my party have arthritis and it was a little difficult for them to climb the stairs. Otherwise, it was a good meal and I would go there again."

"As usual, we and our friends had a delightful dinner at Ricciutti's. The food was delicious and the waiter, Kyle, was charming and very helpful.
A few moments after leaving, I realized that I had left my eyeglasses on the dinner table. As my husband was turning the car around to go back, I received a call on my cell phone to let me know my glasses had been found and would be waiting for me at the desk at the front of the restaurant. How considerate!"

"I had relatively low expectations and the experience was a lower than that. We had a series of inexperienced waiters serving us...a differnet one every few minutes. They seemed harried and disorganized. Drinks took forever. Dessert took almost a half hour to come. The food itself was fair to bad. The stir fry was so spicy we could hardly eat it. The Bison Burger was more like leather than food. The appetizer biscuits tasted frozen and reheated..soft and bland. It was my parents anniversary...mentioned as we arrived and again to one of my waiters, and no special acknowledgment at all. There were high school age kids running the hostess and front door....like a circus.
Really disappointing."

"We recently had a houseguest who needed gluten free options. This restaurant had a gluten free menu, that pulled out for her items off the regular menu that were already gluten free. Saved her the trouble to figure it out, and didn't make her feel odd I ordering, she could just prefer like the rest of us w it bout special treatment. Kudos!"

"Ricciuti buys cheap ingredients and gives its customers the consequences. The restaurant bills itself as a pizza restaurant, although it is housed in an historic Georgian American house converted for restaurant use. We were anticipating good pizza and received pizzas with tough dough covered with bitter sauce (too much tomato paste?). One of us ordered coffee. It was so weak we asked for stronger coffee. The waiter, who was efficient and attentive, brewed another pot. Then we knew why the coffee was weak. The stornger coffee tasted terrible--CHEAP COFFEE. The whole restaurant experience is based on CHEAP ingredients with no ability in the kitchen. Don't bother going to Ricciuti's. It is a waste of money."

"Hello,
Great ambience at Riciuettis! And some dishes are appealing. Overall, although, the waiters are friendly, they don't reliably check back after initially serving to see whether anything else is needed and I've often had to wait quite a while to receive the check. I found the food heavy and pedestrian. The pork entry was served only with an onion and a side of apple sauce, without vegetables. A bottle of wine for $35 (granted, at half price) was so salty I had to return it...one of the worst I've had. Had better PN for $12 at Roots. Your smaller dishes and appetizers are good--the kale salad and egg rolls in particular. I will continue to patronize Riciuetti's but suggest a chef with a lighter touch and more attentive wait staff."

"I love this restaurant. The location is unique, and they make local, seasonal food that is delicious! They have many vegetarian options, and there's something for everyone, from pizza to gourmet butternut squash, from vegan rice stirfry to bison burger or filet mignon. "Olney Art Association meets every other month in a building next to this restaurant. Six to ten members meet for dinner before the meetings. While dinners are a bit expensive, members usually find something at a decent price. The staff is welcoming, efficient and accommodating. The food is quite good and generous in portions."

"While most of the food that my friend and I had was good, the fish main course that was to be lightly fried was completely soggy. When we asked to send it back, the waiter picks it up and put his finger in it to see for himself. He offered another one at which point we politely declined. They bill their menu as seasonal, but almost all of the food is completely out of season or almost out of season to the point that no one would think the "seasonal" food was still in season."

"We enjoy the atmosphere and we return as a group every year as 3 of the 4 in our party have birthdays in late February and early March. I am the exception, but this is my treat each year. I also considerate this one of my favorite restaurants and we dinewhen the opportunity presents itself. I also recommend you to our friends."

"Service was extremely slow because our waiter decided to stay downstairs and flirt with the hostesses. Bottomline, he was never around. We always had to get another waiter servicing other tables to help us. He never brought our drinks, food, bread or the check. We couldn't believe the service. So, if you get a tall guy for your waiter, ask for someone else.
As for the food, the flounder special was not seasoned. No one asked us how are food was so we could get it corrected. So we ate it anyways. Luckily, we didn't have to ask for salt from our MIA waiter.
This restaurant isn't worth it to command $75+ dinner for two with terrible service and unseasoned food. Chef Ramey would had through them out."

"Having eaten there many times through the years, I can say that Ricciuti's delivers a fine dining experience of whatever type you desire. You can dress nicely and feel perfectly comfortable in their various dining rooms. Or you can dress casually and feel just as comfortable eating there as well. The menu is always a treat filled with both standards and new offerings using fine organic ingredients from local farmers and gardens. The Beet/Arugula/Goat cheese plate is my favorite appetizer, though not always on the menu. I have tried several different entrees but being a Pasta lover my favorites remain the Macaroni and Cheese and the Penne Bolognese. The food, staff and service are always spot on making Ricciuti's a perfect little gem."

"The service was horrible. We waited over an hour before we were served. The restaurant is so quaint and lovely, but that was overshadowed by the poor service. I have been there for lunch many times with perfect service and a nice menu. The dinner choices were not so great. I would advise that if you go, stick with pizza or salad, and give yourself a lot of time!"
