Our waiter made the experience less than desirable.
Our table lacked olive oil and balsamic for our bread
And our waiter Alfredo never brought it, he did not
Explain the specials, just stopped off the menu,
And when we requested the wine list, it took 20
Minutes and a second request to get it. The bill took
39 minutes to get after we had finished our dessert.
A 2 1/2 hour dinner is not necessary for a party of 4.
Thankfully the food was very good."

"The food is great, the service is excellent and they accommodate larger groups.
The ambiance is not the most romantic but is good. The food was very good, flavorful, and fresh; try the clams. The portions are on the larger side as well; the rack of lamb was pleasantly a healthy portion!"

"This was my second visit to this great restaurant, located near the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Being a New Jersey resident, I had found Antonello on Open Table the first time I visited Costa Mesa. Loved it enough to return...and will the next time also! The bronzino special was wonderful....their veal is delicious. I recommend this dining experience to anyone with discriminating taste."

"Antonello knows how to make an amazing dinner an unforgettable dinner and truly my favorite Italian restaurant in Southern California. The service is impeccable, the food is to die for, and the restaurant is adorable! Words can not do this restaurant justice! The attention to detail goes above and beyond. They gave my grandmother from Maryland 2 jars of pasta sauce to take back home. Can't wait for another special occasion!"

"We started with Burrata antipasti with Imported Smoked Prosciutto and Ligurian Olive Oil. The cheese was extremely tasty and had a very buttery texture. The smoked prosciutto complimented the cheese very well. Next was the Insalata Antonello. The salads were fresh and had a good assortment of ingredients which included hazelnuts to give an extra crunch. For main courses we had the Cioppino. It had a good amount of seafood and was very good. The other main course was Veal Shank Oso Bucco. It was one of the specials for the night. Oso Bucco is my favorite Italian dish and always order it when available since not many restaurants take the time it needs to prepare this fine dish. This Oso Bucco was fork tender and the sauce was outstanding."

"Antonello's has several private rooms for groups of 5-50. We had a group of 10 celebrating a special anniversary and it was a perfect night. We had one of the private rooms that was perfect for our group. The waiters were attentive, enjoyable and knowledgeable. Our night was perfect."

"Enjoyed our recent dinner very much. We were on our way to Segerstrom Center and dinner was timed so that we had plenty of time to get there. We all tried one of the specials of the night. The Chiliean Sea bass was outstanding, as was the soup prepared with potatoes and artichokes. Our waiter, Sammy was very attentive and kept us very entertained."

"Excellent as usual and now that the restaurant has an updated look, it is a lovely dining experience. We had the shrimp and burrata appetizers and for entrees the osso bucco and the lamb chops. Both entrees were excellent. We brought a bottle of our own wine to enjoy and the corkage fee is now $25."

"Antonello continues to amaze. I expect the food to be high end. The lamb chops were the most tender and flavorful I've had; the lobster ravioli, linguini with clams and spaghetti with bolognese sauce were hits as well. But Antonello steps above the crowd with the most attentive and helpful service throughout the meal. Special occasions really are special here. Psst: Ask to be seated upstairs for a more quiet experience."

"Always consistent with great service and food. This time around we split the risotto with black truffles as an appetizer and for entrees the branzino and the swordfish. We had a bottle of Lucia Pinot Noir to accompany the meal. Antonello has recently nearly completed a refreshing facelift to it's dining room and that looks great as well."
