"Celebrated Mothers Day with brunch at OB... food and service were very good -- only fault was that our reservations were for 9:30am and I thought that for this special occasion day, the restaurant should have allowed us into the restaurant and to be seated even though we were 10minutes early... a locked door isn't a very nice greeting. Staff here are always wonderful... kudos."

"Good food and atmosphere and unhurried which is great. Music level too high so conversation sometimes difficult. People have to talk louder to be heard over he music, so then musc turned up louder,so people talk even louder andbecoes a vicious circle. Unfortunately this seems to be common in a lot of places these days."

"Went for a special occasion, had one of the most amazing restaurant experiences! Service was perfect, attentive and dedicated! We had a reservation, were seated immediately, being tended to within 5 minutes of arrival, on a Saturday night, prime time dinnertime. All the food was fantastic, burger, the best I ate at a restaurant, steaks, salmon, pizza, excellent, but one of the orders was outstanding! The chocolate marquise! It was the best dessert I ever tasted, ever!, in 20 yrs, in Canada, and all other travels! I'm not big on sweets, I had to try it when my daughter, the one owning the family's sweet tooth, took her first bite and all I heard was this unusual sound coming from her! Like she saw Nirvana! All in all, splendid experience!"

"We had never been to O&B so we chose it for an elderly relative's 94th birthday. The food and the service were outstanding but the noise level put a damper on our experience. The music was much too loud for a place that is so open. As a result it was not easy to hear each other as it was very echo-y. This made it unpleasant for the elderly relative to wears hearing aids. While the overall experience was good, we will not be bringing him back to O&B."

Two of us ordered Fettucini Alfredo and it came without sauce, which we had to ask for.
The music was so loud we could not converse with the person on the opposite side of the table and despite asking for it to be turned down a little we had to shout to be heard.
Considering we had advised them it was a 60th birthday celebration it was most disappointing and we will not return for any future special occasion."

"Went with my family on Sunday. It took 45 mins to get our lunch. First time I ordered the pizza and thought it a bit tasteless and over priced for its simplicity. My mom ordered steak and egg. It came with a spicy sauce that wasn't mentioned on the menu and she can't have anything spicy. She also ordered mashed potatoes and instead got baked which also had a spicy dressing. The coffee was terrible. Extremely strong! Not sure I would come back."

"This is the third time I have been to the Oakville location. All 3 times were related to business. Once as a large group in the private room, and twice for smaller lunch meeting. I find it the ideal spot, with an open atmosphere that can also be considered private as the tables are well spaced and you are not able to to overhear others.
The menu has been different each time, and although it is a very classy design, there is a relaxed element in the decor that makes guests feel that they could be at a friends house for dinner.
When I commented on how phenomenal my dessert was - although I hardly had room after such an amazing lunch, I was pleasantly surprised that the recipe was offered. This restaurant is in my top 5 ."

"The food was below average. The service was shockingly bad. We waited 25 minutes for a server to first appear because there was a larger party near us. It did not get any better from there. None of the servers are properly trained. Overpriced for what it is; an average mall restaurant. It should not be put into the same category of the good restaurants in Oakville and Burlington."

"The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the eggs benedict...best we ever tasted. We requested a quiet table and they definitely kept that in mind when seating us. Our server was very pleasant, knowlegeable friendly and courteous. The tables were set far enough apart so that even in accommodating large groups the noise level was reasonable. The only drawback for this restaurant is the view overlooking the mall parking lot...definitely don't go there for the view...go for the food and service."

"We had a group of 6 girls for my daughter's 16th birthday for a dinner on their own. Staff was fantastic with them. Put out the flowers for party favours and the birthday cake i'd brought in with a candle, which i hadn't even supplied. Really fabulous for the girls on their own!"

"The atmosphere is always good, however the dining room became a bit noisy when reached full capacity. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food for the majority was all very good. My friend had the fish and chips which she enjoyed and I had quinoa salad (nothing exeptional) and the lamp tagine which was very tasty. Overall we had a nice evening andn it was a nice treat for my friend's birthday celebration. i will definetely be returning."

"Food is always pretty good at O&B but I am SO disappointed in the service from my last 2 visits. I had gone with a group of 12 people a couple of weeks prior to this visit and service was extremely slow. I assumed it was the size of our group. At this visit we had 8 people and we were celebrating my son's birthday. Again, the service was extremely slow and we were constantly looking for our server to get bread, water refills, dessert menus, etc. she was pleasant and friendly but just not easily available. I prefer service where they constantly check on your needs so you don't get frustrated looking for help.
They also sat us at a high table with tall stools. I did not request this nor did they tell me they would seat us here when I called."

"Service was very slow. Had a 7:15pm reservation on a Friday and were seated upon arrival. We did not get a wait staff at our table until 7:40pm, at which point she brought water only. It was 8pm before our order was taken, then another 15 minutes before the appetizers arrived. Almost a half hour before entrees were served. Despite asking several time for the complimentary bread basket , we never received ours. When we asked about the delay, the waitress just said that an order for a large party had gone in before ours.
Food was good, though portions in the prix fixe menu small. Overall, over two hours with little attention from wait staff and no desserts ordered except for those which came with the prix fixe. Will not go back."
