"Great bread basket, gives you a chance to sample their wonderful pizza. The food selections are always inventive. Two out of three of us had the specials and they were delicious. The salads are plentiful and delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good dining experience in Houston. The Griglia is always loud so be prepared!"

"We enjoy our visits to La Griglia. The service was again, excellent. We had the two specials and the redfish was excellent the Veal TBone was a little dry. The insalada selection was enjoyed by all. The dining atmosphere was quite enough you could be heard by everyone at your table and you did not have to hear the table next to you. The resturant was not crowed at 5:30pm. AN excellent time to dine."

"I like the restaurant. Very solid service and food. You also have the flexibility to select items that fit almost any budget. On special occasions, they always seem to roll-out a few new and creative items. One of the most pleasing restaurant interiors in all of Houston. The fact that it is part of a large restaurant empire has not yet offended the customer with those all so necessary service, food-quality or amenities cut-backs. Bravo to you, Mr. F!"

"I have been to LaGriglia many times, and always order the short rib. I compare every other restaurant's to theirs, and LaGriglia has always been on top. I think there must have been a different chef in the kitchen this night though. It just tasted...odd..kinda tomato-ish...hard to describe. Just wasn't what I was expecting, and the meat had a lot of fat (more than usual). The dish was just disappointing. Everything else was outstanding...we had the tuna appeteiser and it was fantastic!"

"The food was the only saving grace my last visit. The service was some of the worst I have ever had. Our waiter, Roger, was pompous, rude & hardly paid attention to our table. We had a table of 6 & spent almost $350 so you would think he would have been attentive. Thank goodness for Serilo. He ended up taking over our table although Roger came around when we asked for the check. In addition, the price of the wine was astronomical. There was barely a bottle under $40 and the markup on most bottles was 4-6 times the price at the liquor store. I got the spinach and cheese tortellini special & Roger even corrected me when I said the word wrong. Seriously?!? To be such a nice restaurant, the service was some of the worst I have EVER had."

"First waiter was no good. Could not even give suggestions and said everything is good. He even said because he doesn't want to get blamed, so I asked for another waiter. His name was Jay and amazing waiter. I was very impressed with him and his service. Made our dinning so much better. Id say he was one of the best server in the city. The bore is pretty awesome. Duck, I would ask for same sause as the bore. The berry sauce is way too muh."

"I have been to La Griglia many times and always enjoyed but myself, but my visits were a few years ago as I have moved to Denver from Houston and haven't been back in a while. Regretfully I am writing because in that time the restraint has completely gone downhill. The wine list has become outrageously overpriced and the selection was poor (our first three choices were unavailable). The food was completely sub par, nobody at our table finished their meal. When I brought up my concerns to the waitress, she noted that she has been hearing that a lot lately and that she would find the manager, and he did come by and apologize. Overall, one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a very long time."

"My parents were visiting my brother and I from Des Moines Iowa. This is the second time we have eaten at La Griglia. The service is impeccable. The wait staff takes care of you without being intrusive. The menu has a lot of options as my family tends to have vastly different taste in food. "We were visiting Houston for a wedding and had a free evening to go out and have dinner. We found La Griglia on Open Table and decided to give it a shot. We told the bride we were going there and she gave us the thumbs up and said its her families favorite restaurant. The food was great, the service was beyond wonderful and the desserts were delicious! If I lived in Houston, this would be my favorite spot. The bread basket is pretty amazing too!"

"As always, the service at La Griglia was outstanding. The only hitch was that they lost our reservations and we had to sit in the bar area. The manager apologized and said that they had power outage that afternoon and our open bar reservation must have been lost at that time. However, they made up for this because my husband had left his wallet at home and they allowed us to dine there (with a bottle of wine) and pay when we got home by calling in our credit card info."

"I expected an original italian restaurant, it is really some kind of a mix between italian and mexican or even texmex (tortilla soup in the menu??). I ordered carpaccio, when they served to me it did not look or taste as carpaccio at all. I neved had carpaccio with mashed potatoes, it was disappointing.
The food was good in general, but certainly not what I expected and not what they promote for the restaurant."

"We went on Valentine's Day and were disappointed. My husband's steak wasn't cooked correctly, and they brought me the wrong dish altogether. It was very loud, and the tables were squeezed in there. There was hardly room to move. I don't recommend it."
