In 2001 Jason Weiner and Eric Lemonides opened Almond Restaurant offering reasonable prices, bold bistro fare and friendly service. The French bistro quickly became one of the top spots in the Hamptons for locals, celebrities and tourists. Chef Jason Weiner quickly established himself in the Hamptons as top toque and over the years has established a very strong commitment to using locally farmed products and local produce in order to support the local community. Fast-forward 10 years and the iconic Hamptons French bistro enters a new era in a new location in downtown Bridgehampton. Almond’s new home is a historic space with 100-year-old tin ceilings, hand carved bar, classic white subway tile and a splash of color with signature zebra wallpaper, from an eponymous Italian restaurant in Manhattan, Gino, which recently ended its 65-year tenure. The menu is comprised of many French bistro favorites such as traditional escargot, steamed black mussels and steak frites.
"Almond/Bridgehampton is a gem! A great find! It has a varied menu, an engaging staff, lots of energy in the room. I'll be back. Again. And again. And again....."

"First time I can remember that a restaurant staff was not entirely frazzled on Mother's Day. We had a lovely time. Food delicious. Service attentive. Eric and Jason are the best culinary tag team in the Hamptons."

"This was our first time at Almond, and it was a great surprise. The food was outstanding, and when we arrived, it was relatively quaint and quiet. As the day advanced, it became a little crowded and somewhat noisy. There seemed to be a lot of regulars, which was good to see. The staff was polite and friendly. By the end of our meal, the staff seemed a little preoccupied, so we waited quite awhile for dessert, and my coffee cup remained empty for a little too long.. We will be back again.."

"Fun, relaxing experience for our party of 6, although still pre-season. Brussels sprouts two ways appetizer and asparagus with fried egg appetizer were hits. Scallop entrée was excellent but could have been warmer. Definitely will be back this summer."

"I have been going to Almond since their original grand opening...never disappointed. Best mussels this side of the Croisette. You never know who will be dining next to you- Bill and Hilary,Alan Alda,Joy Bahar etal. So good that we have a standing reservation every weekend. Eric and Jason know how to make everyone feel special. Kudos......."

"food was good, I had the lamb shank. I thought the sauce it came in was a bit much, too many ingredients--but overall it was tasty. The restaurant was very noisy, and I did have to strain a bit to hear my dinner guest. The owner greeted the patrons at the door and was quite ebullient. The price of the entrees was slightly high, thought they could be about 15% less. Overall a B experience."

"Almond recently changed their menu and added more choices. We eat there at least twice a month, and our waiter had served us many, many times. He remembered that we loved their winter salad, and said even though it wasn't on the menu, they would gladly prepare it for us. Little things like that make a difference."

"My husband and I went here because it was restaurant week. Our reservation was for 7:15. When Almond called to confirm, and I returned the call, there was no mention of this. I didn't even think to ask. Usually if a restaurant is listed on the Restaurant Week site, there aren't stipulations such as this. Anyway, we were seated right away and given the regular menu. When I inquired about the restaurant week menu, the waiter then informed us that the price fixe had ended at 7. I'm annoyed, but what can you do? We proceeded to order, and then an older couple is seated next to us and they ask about the price fixe. What do you know, the manager (I assume) comes up to them with the price fixe menu saying "oh, I'll give it to you". So no"

"We were very pleasantly surprised that the Restaurant week portions and menu appeared to be the same as their regular menu, that has not always the case with other restaurants we have tried. Food was prepared perfectly and the service was attentive and friendly. My husband felt that his bass entre was not adequate which is very unusual as he is a very light eater. Along with the bass came several tiny clams which provide an attractive full plate of food but the portion of fish was small. But as mentioned in the first sentence I believe that this was their regular portion as all other dishes were clearly very ample.
The desserts were sublime.
i would definitely recommend Almond"

"We come here often. This time we chose from the Restaurant Week. Two great salads, Caesar Salad with Brussels sprouts two ways and arugula salad with beets and barely candied walnuts. They had sold the last rib of lamb, so my wife had the "best roast chicken." She'd ever had. I had Striped Bass with scallops in a corn and pepper melange. I've had it here before in other variations. I preferred it with some of the chef's more delicate vegetable pairings, but it was excellent. The contrast with East Hampton's 1770 house meal at twice the price was dramatic. This was much better, right down to the chocolatey desser."

"Took advantage of restaurant week to try Almond-we had a great experience. Great service, great Gimlet!, food was delicious. Wonderfully dressed beet/arugula salad as appetizer followed by perfectly seasoned fluke; generous portions, but I still managed the Buttermilk Panna Cotta and a cappuccino! My pal had the Milanese-also very tasty. The wait staff was attentive; it was a great spring evening. We will be back!"

"We were a little disappointed in the Restaurant week menu. Last year was much much better. The appetizers weren't as interesting. More choices last year. Entrees were limited also. However the steak and bass were good. Seems the trend is to really limit choices. Wine special from Channing daughters was really nice, Rosso Fressco. Service was good and in general was ok."

"We eat there at least twice a month, as believe it or not, choices are limited in the Hamptons as more and more restaurants have closed since last season. Excellent food with many choices from salads or burgers to full dinners. Service is always friendly and professional, and the owner is constantly working the room from greeting diners to helping bus the tables."

"Almond is still our favorite restaurant in Bridgehampton, and we go there at least once a month, even in the off season. Our favorite appetizers are their winter salad (duck confit) and their mussels, and their chicken or scallops are great entrees."

"My wife and I are vegan and we heard Almond had meatless Mondays. I happened to meet the chef and she invited us in. Normally, I stay way clear of restaurants (except for Indian and Chinese which tend to do vegan with ease), not wanting to inconvenience people and/or be served unseasoned steamed vegetables, but in this case I was really surprised. The meal was incredibly flavorful and filling, the staff was attentive and friendly, and most of all Chef Lisa made our experience a memorable one."
