"We loved this restaurant. We found it on Open Table and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was fabulous, the smells were amazing, the food delicous and plentiful. I got a trio of tenderloin, each crusted in a different flavor. Absolutely fantastic. If I lived in Chicago, I would want to visit this restaurant frequently and when I return it will be on my list. "While I was there a lady passed out / had a seizure at her table. I was astounded by the amount of time it took for any managment at the restaurant to respond. There where hostesses, waiters, bar staff, bus boys, hosts all within the vicintiy but no one knew what to do. I think you should have a better system in place for responding to emergencies. After a few minutes a customer did approach the lady and helped her.
as always the food is consistently good. I had the chicken and bbq ribs combo with a side of spinach."

"Service was slow, however food was good to very good....We are in the restaurant business, so we are somewhat sympathetic to a busy restaurant night....but at the same time we do expect for the price of the experience we would not have had to play second fiddle to a large party in their banquet room. This is NRA week, so the management should have beem more prepared.
Our dinner took at least an hour to get to us....the manager came over and without looking anyone in the eye, told us he was "sorry for the wait for our entre..." then zoomed away leaving only a vapor trail....
the deserts also took a long time....
However, the food was very good....so Kudo's to them for at least that...and in the end, the management comp'd our appetizers...."

"My husband and I went to Wildfire to celebrate our anniversary. We were early for our 7:00pm reservation and were seated immediately. Our server greeted us promptly and upon hearing it was our first time at Wildfire she gave a great intro and explanation of the menu. Neither my husband nor I know much when it comes to ordering a steak and she was very helpful with explaining the different cuts. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the porterhouse. Both were delicious! We finished with a shared dessert that was so decadent. We really enjoyed our experience. We decided that Wildfire is great for a celebration or taking out of town guests rather than a spur of the moment dinner place."

"Overall, the restaurant was good, although my daughter asked if her dish was garlicy and the waiter said no. Upon receiving it, you could taste the garlic by only smelling it. When she finally took a bite, it was obvious the garlic was overpowering. To their credit, the restaurant did not charge us for the meal that was not eaten. I'd give them one more try, as everyone can have one bad day. My food was quite good."

"Our food took forever to come out, and when it did both my Filet Trio entree & my wife's Lamb Chops were WAY over done. We both ordered the meats cooked medium, but recieved Charred well-done. Our server was friendly and knowledgable, but sadly I went here because we heard the food was great. Eventually the manager came over and after some hesistation comped our food and after another almost 30 minutes brought us new entree's.

Once we did recieve the new food it was good, but by no means something fantastic. I think there are better options for steakhouses in Chicago, and next time will try one of the many other places."

"This location normally opens at 6:00pm on Sundays, but opened at noon to celebrate Mother's Day, for which time our reservation was made. After being seated, we thought it a bit odd when the waitress described the specials for "this evening",, then learned that the only menu offered was the regular 'dinner' menu.

"First of all, I love Wildfire Restaurant and have experienced many wonderful dining experiences here. However, our group of twelve for Mother's Day dining was really disappointed in the slow service, long wait for side dishes, cold baked potato and broccoli, dish being returned not prepared as ordered. Seating in the Beringer Rm was prompt and excellent.

The waiters seemed overwhelmed and rightfully so. Entrees were received without side dishes resulting in several minutes wait. I ordered the Tenderloin Tips and the waiter explained that they called them tenderloin because "they are tender" Good dish but I never received the grilled veggies.

"The food was great. My only problem is the bus boy and the water pitcher. The pitcher should never touch the rim of the glass. Also the restaurant at 12:15 on Mother's day was not crowded so there was no excuse for messing up the salad. We specifically told the waiter no blue cheese and guess what.... blue cheese. He did not come around to ask us if it was okay until we were almost finished."

"My boyfriend surprised me, my mom and his mom with an early Mother's Day celebration with dinner at Wildfire. I have been to the Wildfire location in Oakbrook in the past, but never to the Chicago location. Both of our mothers had never been to the Wildfire establishment. They were very pleased with the food, drinks, dessert and service. My mom usually finds something to complain about, and she could not find one thing. She commented that the food was delicious, the service was great, and she ordered the Martini flight and loved her choice. Wildfire was a great choice. "I can for the limited quantity rib-eye but they were out so I had a petite filet mignon instead. I may start getting that cut instead of the rib-eye. It was just enough to fill me up. My medium rare was a little more rare that medium but overall it was still tasty. My server was nice and we were seated quickly. "We were a party of 6 on vacation. Celebrating my wife's birthday.
Bottle wines were half off on Mondays! So we indulged three bottles.
We split a large chopped salad and calamari, both amazing.
Everyone enjoyed their entrees too. My wife ordered the filet and scallops. And I had the house special filet with horseradish crust.
My wife loved the key lime pie martini so much that she had a second one too.
The service by Francesco was nothing short of five stars.
Initially, we were worried that we were undressed as we have been sight seeing and shopping, but we asked some locals and they said it was ok. We were still treated very professionally. We left an extra tip for their excellent service."

"The restaurant was fairly busy for a Tuesday evening but service was still prompt without being pushy or forgetful. This was a nice relaxing place to spend the evening and enjoy a delicious steak and good wine for a reasonable price."

"My wife and I went to WILDFIRE TO CELEBRATE OUR 34th Wedding Anniversary. The food is delicious, the service was very good, the setting was nice, except that we were next to a group of five YUPPIES in a bench next to ours, and they got a little loud after the second bottle of wine. The decaffinated cappucino left a little bit to be desired, but the great evening was diminished because my written request for a special dessert to celebrate ur anniversary was ignored. I expected my written request to be honored. This is NOT the first Wildfire has failed to honor my request for a dessert to celebrate a special occasion.They have to do better."

"While in town for business & then a little shopping, this was a great night out with friends. Great food & wine...we were able to have a conversation even though the place was hopping. Service was very attentive by all those who came to our table. Excellent experience overall & I would recommend to others as well as visit again when in downtown Chicago"
