"We like the local location for us, Good food and nice atmosphere. There was music playing outside, Music was good and I guess he really liked that One note\Key that he used to sing every song…
We had Angus Streak, Swordfish and Veal plates. All were decent, not perfect but decent enough. We will go back to try other dishes as well."

"Went on a Friday and the place was packed. I think the service was a bit lacking as a result. We had to pour our own wine as the wait staff was not as attentive as we would have liked. The food was excellent. One great aspect of this restaurant is that the chef will prepare dishes that are not on the menu or combinations of different pastas with varying sauces. Definitely on of our favorite places but mid-week is a better time to go."

"I ordered the Tournedos medium rare and they arrived well done. They were still tasty and edible, so I was not going to say anything. But the waiter checked back within a minute of our being served and he asked how they were prepared, so I told him. He agreed and took the plate back and delivered another meal promptly, being sure that this dish was fine, and it was. Then the GM came over and insisted that my meal be comped, which I felt was unnecessary, but very nice and a classy touch.
So thank you very much. We have dined here many times and of course will return."

"Overall it was a good dining experience. I have been here once before and ordered the bolognese which was delicious. However this time I tried the shrimp and scallops with spaghetti and was disappointed. The tomato sauce lacked flavor (which was also the opinion of 4 other daintily members) and the pasta was over cooked. The server was also very pushy and trying to upsell every second he got."

"We live out of state and were searching for a place to take my mother for a special meal for Mother's Day. I saw the reviews and chose Trattoria Romana. We enjoyed out dining experience there immensely. Everything was top notch, even on such a busy dining day. I loved everything, from the crusty bread with dipping oil, to the melt in your mouth chicken in my entree, to the perfectly done tender-crisp veggies, to the luscious desserts. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed. We dined on the patio, a very pleasant stone floored room surrounded by arbor vitae trees to soften the view of the parking lot. There is also a fountain and a fireplace that add to the ambiance. We hope to return here when we are back in the area again."

"This was my second time going to Trattoria Romana. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I'm not sure how our waitress could remember every detail of the specials without a cheat sheet, but she did. Took my parents for their 45th wedding anniversary. They really enjoyed it as well. Lighting was a little to dim for them to see the menu clearly and it was a little chilly. We asked if they AC could be turned down and they took care of it right away for us. Prices are a little steep to go on a regular basis, but I would still come back again for another special occasion."

"The food is very good and well prepared. The menu has many options and there are always tantalizing specials. Service is personal and attentive without being overbearing. I find the portion size too large and there is a $5.00 charge for splitting the plates. Having eaten here several times, I find that food and service are dependable. It is a surprising find across from the Lincoln shopping center."

"the restaurant was nice very dark and they had a nice saxophone player outside. the food was pretty good and the portions were huge,but the wait staff and matradee were pushy and seamed to want us to leave asap could barly reach into my pocket to get my wallet befor they were back for the check and two people came over asking if we were done so finnaly we said sure and got out . got to say as pretty as it was i would not go there again between the several interuptions the waiter 5 times and the matradee 3 times during one meal i can say no i would not recomend this place to anyone!!!"

"We went early in the evening Saturday nite (5pm). We had a party of 8 including 3 children. Our server was friendly, food and drinks were served promptly. Although there was no childrens menu, they did offer half entree sizes at half the price. I was a little nervous bringing 3 active boys, but there set up (we were in the side room with the fountain) helped drown out any louder than normal kid talk....food was excellent"

"Went here for mine and my wife's birthday which are a day apart. It was myself, my wife and our 6 year old son. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner stopped by the table to comment on how nice our son looked in shirt and tie and again after dinner to see how everything was. He told her it was the best food he's ever eaten.
Every bit from appetizer to dessert was perfect. This is out 4th time visiting and will continue to do so on a regular basis."

"Calamari for an appetizer. They do not have it sautéed without breading. I asked if it could be done without breading, they can and did. The calamari was okay. Nothing spectacular. Served with cocktail sauce, I found that an odd accompaniment. The entire meal was the same. I am not saying this is a bad place at all. Just middling. My date had the Rigatoni al Forno. It was good, not spectacular. I had the Pollo alla Sorrentino which was the same, good. The menu description seems to me to be much better than the finished meal. It also would be nice if places would start to realize that there are a lot of beer and ale drinkers out there that now expect excellent ales and not run of the mill draughts. This place has the run of the mill draught."

"Celebrated our mother's 70th birthday. Food and service were outstanding. There is no children's menu per say but they accomodated my nieces, aged 5 and 10 very well. Save room for dessert."

"I had lunch there on april 9, I ordered the shrimp salad, not very good, 4 small shrimp.The price of this salad was $15.95. I have dined here many times and have always enjoyed it. I also had a gift certificate the waitress never returned the card. I guess it was just not a good day. I will give them another try."

"Our evening at Trattoria Romana was delightful. Our waitress, Danielle, was lovely, smiling & knowledgeable about the offerings from the kitchen. She didn't seem to need a script to remind her what the specials were. Our meals were piping hot & more than ample per serving. Three of the four of us tried your house Champagne Sangria. (Two of that three normally do not partake in alcoholic beverages.) The drinks were festive & delicious. All three of us were glad we tried this selection. The dessert menu had a very good variety to choose from. The carrot cake was outstanding! Our friends weren't as enthusiastic about the bread pudding, tho; but we all left full & pleased to have taken the recommendation of Trattoria Romana for a great meal."

"On Easter Day I took my wife and her mom to this restaurant. I have seen this place few times, but never dine in. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is kind of loud for my mom-in-law otherwise is nice and classic. I like the idea of making reservation through online because I am hearing impaired."
