His first time in Seattle. I asked if he liked seafood. "Yup" -- but I need to have my oysters and clams "cooked". - Huh?
All I can say, is that he tried one of my "Dozen Sampler" (3 of each).
He couldn't believe the flavor. He immediately ordered 12 of his own and then we did the clam chowder. - wow!

The house Pinot was "delicious" as well."

"Elliott's has a nice though not spectacular view. It was a beautiful Tuesday evening and the place was crowded and very loud. The hostess seemed stressed and unable to be welcoming or friendly. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and arrived on time, but the "5 minute wait" turned into 20. The food was fine but in my opinion not worth the price tag. There are plenty of good seafood restaurants around here and we probably won't go back to Elliott's."

"The food was OK, undercooked salmon, small portion of fish on the "fish & chips" plate. Oysters were very good but, too expensive compared to other restaurants. Overall expensive meal. The experience was made very nice due to the great view of the Puget Sound. This is the second time we have eaten at Elliott's and will not be returning for a third time."

"I saw this place on Yelp and Tripadvisor, with decent reviews, so we decided to try it. The appetizer tower was pretty good, but it was downhill from there. Eating at a seafood restaurant on the water in Seattle, we had high expectations. Needless to say, for the amount of money we paid, it was very disappointing. The crab was dry, rubbery, and tasteless, not the fresh taste one would expect. The asparagus was overcooked to the point of the head disintegrating. Service was ok, but for a $160+ bill for two dinners, it was not worth it. Not only would I not reccommended this place, I'd go out of my way to tell people not to go."

"My husband and I dined here on 5/30 and our server Greg was a pleasure to have. Very informative of the menu and was very attentive to us. The appetizers we chose were the fried calamari and half a dozen of oysters that Greg recommended. For dinner, I chose the cioppino and my husband chose the spicy crab. Greg was right. It was more sweet than it was sour but my husband enjoyed it nonetheless. (He was really hoping for spicy! *hint hint*) As for dessert, we were surprised with creme brûlée. All in all, had a great time. Definitely made our anniversary special. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes! Maybe even happy hour! Oh PS the gal at the front desk was a sweetheart. Greeted us and sat us in a timely manner. :)"

"Oysters at Elliot's is as serious as they're wine list. We eat there once each year on our annual visit to Seattle. Part of our "Seattle experience" and should be yours too. If you can, eat outside to hear the ferries announce their departure, see the port, puget sound, and the city skyline. Top that off with good food and good service... Cannot miss. Make a reservation, especially on Seahawk and mariner game days. We did, walked in and sat down while others inline looked on with a most envious glare!"

"Elliott's has consistently good food. They also have staff that is consistently apathetic. Especially the hostess staff. The person who showed us to our table could not have been less interested. No smile at all. No happiness in her voice. The hostess station always seems to be disorganized, even when not busy. IT is unfortunately because they do a good job cooking fish but I do not feel like I want to go back."

"We had dinner here on a very busy Sunday night-Memorial Day weekend. We arrived early so had a bevearge in the bar while waiting. Once we were seated, our server was amazing! Everything was tasty and prepared to our liking. He was easy to talk to and gave great recommendations for dinners and pairings. I had Copper River salmon and hubby had steak with a crab and bernaise sauce.
My only suggestion would be for them to offer more wine selections by the glass...the choices are very limited. Can't wait to go back for another amazing meal!"

"We love seafood, and have it at least twice a week at home in a landlocked state. We heard this restaurant had amazing, fresh seafood so we were excited to try it out. I felt the service was great, as was the ambiance and energy of the place. The food, I feel, was way too expensive and not at all good- both my hausband and I did not like our dishes. I like to try both cheap and expensive restaurants, and I've had way better food at both. I think for $30-$65 a plate, the food should taste at least "good". I would have given the food rating a 1 star but the sides, eg. asparagus and potatoes were great. I just wish the fish, which is why we went, was as delicious as everyone made it out to be. We should have gone to the crab place next door."

"Took my father out to dinner on a Saturday evening here because he absolutely loves oysters and we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent as were the specialty cocktails. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of how noisy it was in the restaurant. I would come back but probably on a week night in hopes it's a little quieter! This is definitely the place for seafood ... all fresh and flavorful!"

"My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Elliott's. The King salmon was the best I've ever had, and being a vegetarian with the exception of salmon and cod, I've had a lot of salmon. It was so succulent, it melted in my mouth. The waiter however was a low talker, very hard to hear and didn't contribute much to our celebratory mood."

"I had received a sizable gift card for dining at Elliot's or Metropolitan Grill. I chose Elliot's because I was drawn by their seafood menu and I asked a long-time friend to join me. We could only go on a Friday evening which I thought could turn into a nightmare experience but was pleasantly surprised. I easily made reservations on-line and happily received a confirmation e-mail as well as one reminder that my reservation was coming up. Once seated by friendly staff we were attended to by our waiter with politeness, excellent knowledge of the menu, and attention to detail. Great experience overall!! I would definitely visit again and Elliot's would be a perfect place to take out-of-town guests for a waterfront delight!"

"This was our second time to Elliott's within the past two months. Both times were delicious. The waiters were very knowledgeable and helpful. In fact on this last visit the waiter suggested splitting a dish, which is usually my preference and the result was a perfect. The food was excellent and the view fantastic. We lucked out with a beautiful sun filled evening."

"Went for the oysters and was not disappointed in those. Best experience I've had with them. Wine list was good, but by the glass just ho-hum. Interesting selections on the menu, and some good execution. But found that most dishes were all too salty. And the soba noodles...well, they weren't soba. You're better off sticking with clean and simple fish. I would choose Anthony's over Elliott's, unless going for Oysters."

"There were four of us for Brunch, I was the only one not happy with my meal, the meal resembled Halibut Cheeks in name only, what a terrible thing to do to such a wonderful food. It could have been Polock for all I could tell."

"I didn't know what to expect when we arrived at Elliots.
My first thoughts...... Whow, not very fancy. We had dressed up for the dinner and most of the people there
Were in very casual attire. They looked like they were just off the streets after walking through the shops.
We had a great table by the window. Got to watch the Argocy Cruse load for their trip out on the sound.

"A great spot if you are looking for a tourist hotspot. Right on the sound, in the middle of everything down by Pike's Place Market. Oysters were fantastic, dessert was also great... entrees were just "fine". Water glasses weren't promptly refilled. Server was very friendly."

"We expected excellent, but we were happy with good. This restaurant offers great views on the waterfront, combined with good food and excellent service. Valet parking is available, otherwise good luck finding parking near-by. Based on our experience with the other Consolidated restaurant in Seattle known for excellent steaks, we had expected excellent seafood and it was good, but not excellent. The spinach salad was ok, but not great, the halibut was very good, but not excellent, and so on. The service was excellent, the view was excellent, but the decor and bare naked tables looked cheap. Given their prices, again, the experience was worth it, but not fantastic."

"We started our meal with the house salad minus the blue cheese (why does everyone want to put cheese on salads?), which was fresh and light. Both of us had the Copper River Sockeye salmon. It was flawlessly prepared and we enjoyed everything on the plate (asparagus, delicious sauteed potatoes and a mild, tasty sauce). Although the salmon was outstanding, the sockeye didn't have the usual swoon-worthy Copper River flavor I've come to expect, so you probably have to spring for the King salmon to get the full Copper River experience. For dessert I had the molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and it was INCREDIBLE, with a wonderful, high quality chocolate flavor--one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. Generous portion, too."

"From the very start the service was impeccable only to be outdone by the delicious food. My wife said the halibut cheeks were amazing but they could not have been better than my tenderloin and crab. See you next time we spend the weekend in Seattle."

"I read the reviews and there were more positives than negatives so gave Elliot's a try. BIG MISTAKE!! The comments I previously read about the service were spot on. The waiter could barely be heard and depressed us. After trying to get my friend's Vodka Gimlet correct 3 times, we got up and left. Maybe the food is good, but don't go there is you want to relax. My drink was watered down and they were cheap with the alcohol too. TOURIST TRAP as previously mentioned"
