"In the heart of the Meatpacking District, this gem of a restaurant offers great food, a warm and romantic ambience, in a beautifully renovated old townhouse. Cozy bar on floor one, great dining room on floor two, and (okay, I never made it up to the top floor, but something interesting is happening up in that lounge area, I think). The service was impeccable. It's bustling, with a sophisticated crowd of locals not tourists, without being too crowded or sceney, which is unique in the MPD. I'll definitely be back."

"Perfect brunch place! I had the best eggs rancheros ever, so well made, healthy & delicious. The wild mushroom toast was pretty good too. Beautiful place very friendly service. Good Bloody Mary's. would come back to try dinner."

"We were late for our reservation on a busy Saturday night and really thought that our table was at risk of being given up. However, they graciously held the table for us and seemed more concerned that the rest of our party had been waiting rather than anything else. The food was very good - short ribs cooked perfectly as well as a tasty Greek-inspired salad. The octopus dish is also excellent. 5 Ninth is our favorite spot in the Meatpacking District as it seems to be more about the food and a good vibe then the "scene" which is the problem with so many other places in this area."
