"Our visit to the Sonoma Valley was highlighted by our dinner at the Dry Creek Kitchen on our last evening. The ambience, service and food were all extraordinary. We brought our own bottle of very nice Pinot Noir from a nearby Sonoma winery which they opened and served us at no fee. The food was exceptional. The overall experience was so good that words are hard to describe it."

"We were celebrating a landmark birthday. The entire evening was fabulous from entry being greeted by a friendly hostess to the end with coffee and a chocolate dessert. We had drinks at the table and a bottle of wine recommended by the wine steward. The wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive without interfering. I had the scallop en croute with onion and leek in a black truffle beurre rouge sauce and my nephew had the tortellini. Both were excellent. For our entrees we had the Liberty duck breast served with a almond sauce and a New York steak with a mustard sauce. Both were cooked exactly as we asked and served with great sides. They could not have been better. I can't wait for a reason to return to Healdsburg so I can go again."

"The chicken done 2 ways was tasty, but the halibut and hummus was bland. Platings were attractive but seemed to be more important than the food. The carrot cake dessert was a clever deconstruction but had no real flavor , however the lemon tart had both good looks and good flavor. The waitstaff was attentive. An interesting experience, but for the money spent, I'd rather eat at Commander's Palace in New Orleans."

"I had seen some Trip Advisor reviews where locals had dissed the place for poor service so I was a bit apprehensive. I have to say that the evening could not have gone more perfectly. Food and service was outstanding!! We were able to bring some wine from our tasting tours that day and they were most accomodating. The somelier was most helpful when time to pick from the list. Would definetley want to go back here."

"We were so disappointed with our experience. We have been there before and were looking forward to a great meal. They promote no corkage if you bring in Sonoma County wine so we brought in a white and red and made sure it was something not offered on their list. The server was rude from the beginning. She put the white on ice for us and we didn't see her again after she took order. We had to get up and pour our own wine all through dinner. The food was OK.. Nothing special. A different server brought our food and took the plates. When our original server returned and we mentioned we had no gotten the dessert included with he three course menu she actually rolled her eyes and went to find it Go to Barn Diva , Scopa or Willies."

"Again - we had a fabulous experience at Dry Creek Kitchen. This is one of my favorite places to dine. Without a doubt, I would recommend it to anyone who has an affinity for fine dining. We are always thrilled
I did feel that the wine list seemed to soar in prices this trip. Or perhaps it was heavy on the pricey wines in the Pinot Noir Category.
That said, Dry Creek is very accommodating if you bring in Sonoma County wine as they do not charge corkage. That is a wonderful service and great promo for Sonoma County wineries. We really applaud that.

"I am sad to say I was disappointed. One good point was that we were seated right away when we arrived for our 8:00 reservation. They seated us, a party of 8 on a long table with a booth side where we had to squeeze 4 people on and right by the kitchen door so were not able to put a person at the end. Some of the entrees were good and others were mediocre. Portions were very small and frankly not very pretty. We had to send a salad and a salmon entree back but they were accomodating and did replace them with no problem. The Porchini Mushroom soup and Scallop en Croute were delicious. They rationed the bread and shortly after we sat, they ran out of french bread. A bit of bad planning on their part. I would probably not go back."

"Excellent food at good prices in a great atmosphere. I have been going to this place for at least 6 years and have never been disappointed in the creativity, quality, or taste of the food. I had the Easter Dinner special menu; my partner ordered off the ala carte menu. Food served is always evolving and improving. Always an enjoyable eating experience. Our reservation was timely honored. Note of concern: service is a bit disjointed, with too many people serving different portions of the meal and servers not always communicating with the others as to what has already been done or ordered. Time between courses was good except between the entree and next courses: a 20 minute wait for a cheese course and a dessert, no explanation as to why."

"Great dinner, good service. Great california cuisine selections. Only complaint was there was way too much pepper on a couple of items, including my scallops with truffle. Aside from not liking pepper and not having it listed as a significant ingredient (the amount WAS significant & therefore should've been listed) it just didn't go with the dish. But overall delicious and fun experience and we'd definitely go back. The seared tuna app was delicious!"

"On our trip to Sonoma last year we had our best meal (food and service) at Dry Creek Kitchen, quite an accomplishment in Sonoma, land of great food. This year was different. They seemed to be very short staffed and harried and it resulted in some less than spectacular service and food, especially disappointing in a restaurant with a great reputation, our prior personal experience, and $$$$.
First they forgot to take our wine order, which we easily bremedied. Some of the dishes were excellent, but others must have sat in the kitchen awaiting delivery and were not served hot. However, we were most upset when the staff which used to be well-trained in food allergies (in our case gluten free), was totally misinformed. Two staff members trie"

"This was our first dining experience at Dry Creek Kitchen and we will definitely be back. Upon entering Dry Creek, we were greeted by a very nice and friendly hostess and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. He also asked if we had any food allergies, and kept them in mind. I recommend the Sonoma Greens, the Charcuterie, the Short Ribs and the Petrale Sole Stuffed with Crab. For dessert we had the Orange Mousse and I had the Lemon Bar. Everything we ordered was delectable. The ambience was cozy and elegant. I would recommend it for special occasions, because although we do not drink, the tab was $162. But it was so worth the price!"

"Beyond the food (which was great) I always judge a restaurant's service based on how attentive the waitstaff is to my water glass. I never had to ask for more water, the waitstaff kept an eye on my glass and filled it before I could make a request. A true sign of well trained staff with an eye to superb customer service."

"I made a group reservation for my dad's birthday, and pulled some strings to be set up in their private wine library room. The ambiance was absolutely fantastic, the service superior, and the food (as always) was to-die-for. I have not found another restaurant that can make scallops like Dry Creek Kitchen. The whole experience was just perfect, from start to finish. I love DCK and I will continue to eat there for special occasions!"

"The greeters were very welcoming, and we were seated immediately at our reservation time. A good start but service went very slow after that. The restaurant was only half full on a week night so it was surprising that it was 45 minutes before the first course was served. We didn't order before dinner cocktails, dessert or coffee (it was getting too late), and the meal still took over an hour and a half for two courses. Everyone's food was good so no complaints about it. However, service is important and if it's slow, it can spoil an otherwise good experience."
