The French Manor
One of Pennsylvania's finest Pocono's Restaurants... The elegant dining room at The French Manor features a 40 foot vaulted ceiling & two massive fireplaces. Request a table near the terrace for a wonderful view of the Pocono Mountains, or a table by the fireplace for later dining. Breakfast in nice weather can be accommodated on the stone veranda. Our gourmet dinner menu features both Classical & Nouvelle French Cuisine. Candlelight dining, culinary expertise, & our pampering staff make each meal a memorable dining experience. Jackets for gentlemen in the formal dining room. Please note that the restaurant is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years.
Hanna's Cafe offers casual dining & cocktails nightly. Terrace Dining available - weather permitting.

"European style menu (perfect for us), no massive piles of salad, food, etc. The highly skilled sommelier/bartender was very knowledgable in selection of both a before dinner drink/glass of wine, as well as a Champagne recommendation.
My wife had the soup de jour, tomato & wild mushroom, I had a Lobster Bisque like no other I have ever tasted. We each had a small salad, everything fresh, however this description does not do them justice! Dinner-For her a fresh lobster, scallop(s)-2 & crabmeat risotto, myself Filet Migon (apprx 5oz) & a perfectly prepared lobster tail(again, European size portion, apprx 5oz as well). Dessert a Non-flour Chocolate Torte, me a Ginger & Chocolate Souflee, both out of this world!
Savor the time, relax & enjoy!"

"The food was excellent, great atmosphere for a nice romantic dinner, worth the price, quality of food excellent. The initial drink service was slow as the waitress came twice for our dinner order but we had not ordered our wine. After we ordered everyone was very attentive from the waitress to the bus staff. If the wine stewart/bartender was more attentive and gave suggestions for wine it would have been a perfect night."

"for a place like the french manor the mens room outside door would not close right next to the front desk. the chateaubriand was tough and dry very dissapointed I tried the place twice there will not be a next time !!"

"Have dined at the restaurant several times over the past fifteen years, décor has not changed much. Interesting selection of appetizers, dinner choices, all French cuisine. A great chance to try something new. Soups are delicious, but very pricey and scant on portions, similar on salad and appetizer selections. Dinner selections have a nice size portion, but you will pay double here. Nice French music playing in background. Very limited wine by the glass and bottle selections; surprising due to the cuisine and the prices at the restaurant are higher than what is stated on the websites, beware of very small portions also. Staff did not offer any knowledge of wine pairings, would have expected this higher level of service at this price point."

"The restaurant is part of a Inn but open to the public so it is not the easiest to find. But it is well worth the effort to do so. Amazing food and preparation, service great, and portions large. We were there midweek so probably did not need a reservation, but weekends must be fully booked. A super A+."
