"The noise level did not allow for conversation. Felt like I had to shout to be heard. Tables too close together.
The Roast Duck, Veal and Onion Soup were very good. The Bouillabaisse though very tasty was mainly fresh fish with only one shrimp and scallop. The Mushroom Strudel appetizer was very tasty but soft not crispy as described on the menu.
Good food but definitely not a romantic dining experience."

"My wife and I went for our Anniversary, unfortunately for her, she doesn't eat a lot of red meat or seafood, and there were a lot of those options on the menu. Good for her, the salads, and appetizers were great. The wine list is extensive, and being that I'm not picky, there were lots of options. The price of the meal was very expensive, but a great choice."

"I have been going to Café Chardonnay for many years and in that timeframe the quality of food and service has never diminished. To be fair, I think the décor is getting a bit "long in the tooth", but that is more than made up for by the overall value, presentation, creativity and execution. I recommend it to all my friends. I have never had anyone say they were disappointed."

"I am a local resident in this tourist area that restauranturers depend for their success during the off season. I've dined there many times and it's pot luck where they reserve your table. I asked not to sit upstairs (worst alternative) thinking I would have a table in the main dining room. They gave me a table half in the bar and half in the main dining room in the traffic aisle between the two. Given the added noise from the bar it wasn't a pleasant ambiance. I am striking this retaurant from my list of future dining. I don't like to take my chances on getting a decent table. This has happened too many times to make it worth my loyalty. I enjoyed using Open Table again as I have in the Charleston, SC area. Thanks"

"they did not honor a timely reservation this evening and kept us waiting 45 minutes. The bar was crowded and there is no where to sit. They were out of martini glasses too! Best to go in the summer when they offer their lower priced menu."

"We have frequented Cafe Chardonnay for many years. Sunday evening's dining experience only reaffirmed AGAIN, just how incredible the food and service are. I had the Wild Mushroom strudel-a delightful appetizer-I should've asked for a side of the Fonduta for more dipping!!! The Black Grouper/shrimp risotto special was absolutely divine!!! My husband had the Rigatoni bolognese and Short ribs-he CLEANED HIS PLATE-We were supposed to "share". I left a good portion of my dinner because I was full. One of the many attentive servers asked if I would like to take it home and i declined. BIG MISTAKE!! I thought about that dish all day yesterday. Service was impeccable-professional, very pleasant-a tribute to the owner/manager."

"20 years ago we found this great restaurant and it gets better on each visit. Our shrimp and prosciutto appetizer and wedge salad was great. Veal chop and grouper entrees were outstanding as was the Linzea tart. Never disapointed. It is 30 mile round trip from Boca Raton and we make it 2 to 3 times a month."

"We found the service to be spot-on, the staff was polite and attentive, yet not overbearing in their service. Wine list was pricey, but there were a lot of wines by the glass and half-bottle. Food was inventive, fresh and the ingredients were front and center, nothing overwhelmed by excessive cheeses, spices or sauces. Clearly there's a good reason Cafe Chardonnay has been around so long. It's not inexpensive dining, but at this level, with these ingredients and this service, it shouldn't be."

"We arrived for our reservation at 8:15 and were seated promptly. However, we didn't receive water for 20 minutes and it took an hour to get our appetizer. We ordered steak for our entree which was undercooked but our server didn't come back in a timely fashion for us to get it corrected (yet we seemed to have three servers - it appeared that we weren't seated in anyone's section). Additionally, the table of 8 next to us was extremely loud and obnoxious. This was supposed to be a special occasion dinner and it was not at all enjoyable."

"We made dinner reservations online which was convenient, easy and fast and noted in our reservation that it was our Anniversary. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our table in the loft which overlooked the entire dining room below. To our surprise, the table was laden with "Happy Anniversary" décor - very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the food was incredible. Café Chardonnay made our 17th Anniversary a night to remember. We'll return again soon."

"This restaurant NEVER disappoints. We have gone for lunch several times and the food selection is the best....unique and always well prepared and delicious. This was our first time for dinner and on a BUSY Thursday night. Glad we made reservations in advance. The dinner specials were "something different" and enjoyable. "The ambiance is warm and inviting. The snapper special was fresh tasty and excellent. The other dishes were fair, the fettucine with lobster and scallops. Scallops were tender and scrumptious , the lobster too firm, and unfortunately the truffle sauce bland. The wine list is excellent."

"I went there for Easter Brunch and the menu was out of this world in my opinion. They had everything from breakfast delights to gourmet seafood options. The service was very good. The food was even better, presentation and taste were out of this world. Prices are not bad with most expensive entree being 26 dollars I believe. I would highly recommend this place!"
