"You gotta pay the price for the meatpacking district... Food is ok. Nothing special. Service is not the greatest, and the brunch special is not very flexible. But the garden is so worth it!"

"There was a 50th birthday party being celebrated right next to where we were seated so the noise level was extremely high. Wine selection is poor. We shared baby artichoke and arugula salad which was overdressed in a ceasar dressing that was very unappealing. I had the sea bass . While the fish was fine it was swmimg in a congealed butter. I would not return to this restaurant as there are so many great places to dine in nyc"

"This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. Boring menu. Food that looked and tasted like it had been mass-prepared for a banquet. Cold rolls with rock-hard butter pats. Soggy caesar salad. Tasteless fish that was brought with the wrong side dish accompanying it. Rickety table. Credit card machine broke, so we had to wait ages to sign our check and leave. The crowd was incredibly cheesy and we were seated outside (no option for inside) where it was freezing. The service was nice--nothing to remember. Would definitely not go back."

"Enjoyed a night out with the girls, food was good, nothing was horrible and nothing was outstanding. The service was great and our waiter was very helpful with recommendations.
The decor is fun and the crowd was lively, however as the night went on we were yelling rather than speaking to eachother."

"The first bottle of wine I chose was not available, neither was the first choice on the menu which kind of put me off. The main course I believe I took the NY Sirloin which I requested rare but received still cold on the inside.
Scene with the garden is very nice though and so is the bar. But it seems like there could be a lot of improvements on the logistics side of things here. 2 years ago I remember this place would be packed and you had to reserve well in advance, now it was only over half full on a friday night. Seems like management needs to address some things here."

"This was my second time at Revel. The food really is amazing. We only waited a few minutes for our table. Unfortunately, it took 45 minutes for our appetizers to come out. We ended up having to ask our waitress where our food was. She said there was a problem with the kitchen not receiving the order. Having said that, they were very apologetic and gave us a free dessert ( a nice gesture, but they didn't let us choose it and no one at the table of 6 liked it! It wasn't something from the regular menu) on the plus side, they have the best tiramisu that I have ever had!!"

"I came here for brunch with a group of 5 friends for my sisters birthday. We sat in the garden area which was very nice. We all ordered the $25 brunch special. The drinks were good and the food was average. It took an hour for our food and the waiter failed to give us any kind of update on the wait. Everything was nice except for the wait for the food which kind of killed the vibe. Overall I would go back and try it again."
