Opened in the spring of 2004, Embers is a contemporary American Steakhouse with a twist. Classic Steakhouse offerings along with complete selections of seafood & sushi are available in a warm inviting atmosphere.
Embers, as the name implies, evokes the warmth and comfort of a glowing fire; from the stacked-stone torch and gas lanterns outside to the glowing candles within. Black & White photographs of Cincinnati landmarks and celebrities create a sense of history and place, while large oil canvasses and vibrant floral arrangements punctuate the rooms with color.

"Great filet mignon, good caesar salad, delish creme brulee. Food was excellent overall. Service was great, we were served by more than just the waiter. The restaurant was full and it was Saturday night. They were very catering to our 3 year old as well."

"I took my wife to Ember's for Mother's Day/ because she's awesome. The food was great, the wine was great, and lastly the service was great. Our waiter knew just when to stop by the table yet he let us enjoy our meal with minimal interaction."

"I will admit, it is my pet peeve, however, Embers is too nice a restaurant to have the waiter clear dishes and ask about dessert before EVERYONE has finished their meal. It is rude and too expensive to be hurried like they need the table. It left a bad taste in my mouth and while I do love Ember, it will be awhile before I return."

"We loved the whole experience at embers. All the fine dining restaurants were booked like Ruby's, Morton,s and other well known names but we were able to sneak in here that evening. I think they are up to par as much as those restaurants. We also like that the portions were still nice but not over the top like others where you leave with heartburn. Finally, the price is just a shade under those other restaurants which made you feel like you didn't break the bank for a nice dinner."

"The service was a WOW! Could not have asked for anything better.
However, I was very disappointed to pay $45 for a steak and additional four dollars for mushrooms and have a rather poor quality steak delivered to me with extremely salty mushrooms. Certainly not worth the price!
Three of us had a bill of $250 and only had two drinks. If the food was fantastic I will not have complained but it really wasn't that caliber."

"I can't believe it has taken me this long to try Embers. From my experience it should be considered on of the city's top steakhouses. The service was more casual than a Ruby steakhouse, but very high quality and our server was extremely knowledgable about the menu and chef's methods. I will go back for our next special occasion."

"My wife and I visited Embers for our 17th Anniversary, and had a wonderful time. I let them know in advance we were celebrating, and they placed us in a premium location with limited noise. The meal was outstanding, especially the Ahi dinner special and the banana panini desert.
You won't go wrong with a visit to Embers."

"This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions, with and without our kids. The food is consistently excellent, they accommodate our gluten intolerance and those meals are just as tasty as what they would be prepared regularly. Bar and wine list excellent. Our kids, who are teens now, were always accommodated kindly when younger and there are always families dining here...it isn't ever loud so either the families that dine with children have children who are well behaved in this type of environment or the acoustics are good. It is an all around wonderful dining experience. Just as a side note, I have dined here at least 10-15 times over the last 5 years and haven't had a bad experience and no I am not related to the owners!"

"We went to Embers to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, I had eaten there previously but it was a first time for my husband. The food and service were excellent. I was impressed when the waitress suggested the less expensive of 2 alternatives on the menus based on our food preferences (she got a big tip for that one). The staff was very attentive to us. We will definitely go again."

We will keep Embers on our list for special occasions as the food is a little pricy for us to visit regularly. "We attended for my mother in law's birthday. My in laws had never been before and were kind of skeptical when they arrived. The waiter (Sean) was excellent. His demeanor set them at ease and he helped them find selections they enjoyed. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was great as well. I think my in laws found a spot they will be attending regularly.
The food is moderately high priced but the quality is well worth it and the service makes you not regret spending it. I would definitely recommend reservations if you're going on the weekend."

"Our server was fantastic...Ann...she was very personable. She was very engaging with our son. Our son loved it! It was his first time visiting Embers...he wants to visit again next week! The food was fantastic...from the salad & appetizer, to the main course (filets), and of course the desserts...the oreo stuffed donuts were out of this world!!! We have said several times that the steaks of Embers have been better than some other high-end restaurants in town, and I much prefer the side options."

"I had a filet which was excellent but my husband had at the halibut at the suggestion of our server and it was dry and tasteless. The heirloom salad was wonderful and the banana dessert was very nice too. Other than his entree, everything was very nice."

"Our food was good but our service was very slow. We noticed the "regulars" seemed to be getting a lot of attention and our tables was ignored so we sat for long periods of time with not attention. We were never told the specials, just asked if we were ready to order. We have been to Embers many times and we do enjoy the food but we have come to realize, if you are not one of their regulars, your service is not going to be as good as others. I think we will not be returning."

"My husband and I have never been there before. The food is a bit pricey, but worth it. I had the Chilean seabass and my husband had the chicken. My husband is a very critical person and he enjoyed the experience. The ambiance was on the mark and our wait-staff was fantastic.
I don't think we'll be back anytime soon (we're moving to Chicago) but when in the area, I will come back"

"The food was amazing... we got the Kobe sushi roll, Pan-Seared Filet Mignon, Lobster Tail, and mac and cheese and creamed spinach for sides. We loved every single bite. The service was magnificent as well, very professional and accomodating, only thing was our server kept saying "everyone" even though there was only 2 of us. So it was a bit annoying after awhile but he was still very good. Of course, if it were only a bit cheaper we'd go all the time!! Great for special occasions, it was my fiance's birthday and I had a groupon, so well worth the money. This may be our new go-to spot for birthdays and anniversary."

"Went with a party of six for a Birthday celebration and was given a nice combo booth table unit that worked well for the group. We have been here occasionally before, but this visit had several glitches, some of which may have been "waiter related". A legendary "Mai Tai" was ordered and then we were asked about what brand of Vodka we wanted (it is a rum drink). Once received, it was "poor" and when we told our waiter that it was nowhere near the drink that we normally received at Embers, he told us, "yes it was, because the (bar?) manager had personally made it"..?? Then after three of the party had selected one of the evening specials we were just told about, when we tried to place our order, we were then told that they were out of it."

"Our first time dining at Embers, a great experience! Our server was excellent. All 4 guests were extremely happy with everything we ordered. Of course, the only drawback to such great food is the price, but that is to be expected. Prices were reasonable for the quality, not outrageous, but a bill can be racked up quite quickly. That's just how the other half (1% ?) lives."
