Since 1976 Los Amigos has been offering the area's best Mexican & Southwestern style cuisine. As times change, so do tastes & today, “Mexican Food” has become very fragmented. Consequently the term “Mexican Food” means different things to different people.
Over the years, Los Amigos has dramatically grown from offering tacos and enchiladas (although still a very important part of the menu) to creative & complex fare as well as Southwestern inspired menu items. These dishes are in part the result of research & development through consulting with chef/authors as well as the superb culinary education that our chefs have received. The Chef/Owner Curtis Taylor is a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts. Executive Chef Kevin Taylor & Curtis Taylor are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park. Chef Kevin has worked under Chef Dean Fearing at the 5-star Mansion on Turtle Creek as well as Chef Patrick O'Connell at the Inn at Little Washington.
"Love this place, food and service are always great. Fun little bar area. Love the queso flemeado app, also they have a gluten free menu on which the fried calamari were yummy. Chrissy (sp?) our waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive. The salmon dinner was succulent, loved the mango salsa topping, rice, veggies, everything perfectly cooked. Wasn't crazy about the flank steak dinner as the meat was overcooked (we were not asked what temp we wanted it) and the cheese topping didn't really fit the dish. However, I've had many dishes here over the years and it's usually delicious. We've celebrated birthdays here as the rest. has a nice relaxing feel and the food is always delicious!! Recommend!"

"We have been big fans of the AC location for years, and this is our 2nd trip to the Berlin restaurant. I think the Berlin one is even better. The Queso Flameado is delicious and exclusive to this location. The house margarita pitcher is perfect for two to share and have a refill of your glass from. My wife loved the CarneAsada, and the crabcakes I had were creatively seasoned to add that southwestern influence to them. The wait staff did not rush us on our date night which is something that irks me at chain restaurants. Great place. We will be back!"

"This was our second visit. Glad we made reservations as it was busy. We were seated right away. Tried the calamari app. While tasty and perfectly cooked, it was a bit greasy. The entrees and margaritas were very good. Perfect portion sizes. Service was attentive."

"Food was very good but caters to the Americanized perception of "authentic Mexican" food hence, difficult to find a dish that wasn't smothered in cheese or some type of cream sauce. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my enchiladas verde even if it was smothered cheese. The salsa was nothing extraordinary tasting like tomato sauce. Our server was slow taking 15 min to get our drink orders & 25 min to finally take our dinner orders. But it looked like an isolated incident since we noticed other servers bringing food and drinks to their tables in a timely manner even though those customers came in after us. Our first time in Berlin. The atmosphere in W. Berlin was much different from AC. We enjoyed AC's ambience much more, which was more laid back."

"Felt very rushed. Help kept coming over to "clear" table while everyone was still eating. I can understand them doing it once but this was continuous. Tried to take a few plates away when there weren't even empty. Friend said she felt like poking them with her fork if they came again. Drink specials were tasty but small considering much of the glass was ice. Frozen Margaritas very over priced. Almost $13."

"Overall I thought the food was just okay, but not worth the $55 + tip.
We ordered the following:
App - Southwest Spring Rolls $8 Entree for my wife -Chicken Chimichanga $15 Entree for me -Crab and Shrimp Enchilada $16 Side guac Iced Tea Dessert -Fried Ice Cream
The chips and salsa and appetizer were excellent. Their salsa is super fresh and very delicious. Unfortunately, the entrees were pretty mediocre. Actually, Don Pablo's offers a superior chimichanga and sides, plus it's $6 cheaper. The Crab & Shrimp Enchilada was filled with saucy canned crab. Both entrees were also small.
We also felt somewhat rushed..
It's a shame because I would like to try some other entrees such as Blackened Fish Tacos, but I doubt we'll mak"

"For the most part my husband and I felt the food was very bland and under seasoned. We got the chips and salsa which is complimentary, and the queso flameado for appetizer. The salsa had a decent flavor but was not very spicy and reminded me more of tomatoe sauce. There was alot of meat in the queso but it must have been the mildest tasting chorizo I have ever had. For the main entrees there was fajitas and fish tacos with beans and rice on the side. The only thing not lacking in seasoning was the fish. The fish was excessively coated in salt. We ate our dinner but we won't be returning. We enjoyed dessert and the service was good."

"One thing I've learned is if there is a list of specials available - order from there! I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to get but it was so delicious. My husband and I split an appetizer off the specials menu as well as two entrees and everything was outstanding. We dine here often and have our menu favorites but the specials always remind me of what a remarkable and talented chef is back there. The service was a little slow considering it was a slow Sunday evening, but totally worth the wait."

"not pleased with food quality. BBQ chicken nacho app tasted like frozen pulled chicken from walmart topped with a cheese that was not melted enough. Pork flautas also tasted like they came from a box of frozen food. Lastly, $22.00 for 5 SMALL SHRIMP??? Will NOT be back."

"We have been going to Los Amigos for years & had considered it the best local Mexican food around. We went there for my birthday with another couple. We ordered the BBQ chicken nachos which we've had several times in the past. We were very disappointed this time. The cheese was half-melted & clumpy, not much chicken or BBQ sauce. My entree was something I've ordered before, "The Real Deal" however, this time it came on a plain plate, no sauce or presentation. It used to be on a big round roll, instead of a ciabatta roll. Not sure if there was a change in chefs or just an off night, in the past I would have rated it excellent, this time was just good."

"This was our first visit. Entry way is a bit tight; awkward layout. Didn't visit the bar, but it seemed like everyone there was enjoying it. Unfortunately, we were seated directly in the path of the kitchen. Servers & bussers were whizzing by us constantly which was very distracting. Marguerita was excellent. No draught beer. Friendly service and our server was apologetic at the delay on our entrees. Happy to say, they were worth waiting for. Menu has more than your typical Tex Mex. It's easy to see why this restaurant gets very god reviews."

"We have been to the location in AC many times. Our family arrived for our reservation on a busy Saturday evening and were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and had a great sense of humor and was quippy with my teenage sons even though she was incredibly busy. We ordered the chorizo appetizer and enjoyed it folded in the warm tortillas. My husband ordered his usual enchiladas verdes and was not disappointed. I was pleased to find a vegetarian entree of spinach and mushroom enchiladas which was served with a delightful poblano crema. The carne asada was also spectacular and served with some bacony white beans. These were so delicious my no- bean son ate them all. This was a fun outing for us and for any group."

"This was the second time we went and unfortunately it was not a good experience. We were put in a room with the bar and a big screen TV where it was a bit chilly and the noise level was really loud. Not exactly a romantic setting. My girlfriend's dinner came out cold. The first time we went was much better but it was much less crowded so I would have to say to avoid prime time."
