After relaxing with our signature Lakeside Libations in the Great Room Lounge, sit down to a flavorful meal in the lakeview dining room prepared by chef de cuisine Rick Koplau. Lone Eagle Grille’s established emphasis on game birds and meats such as duck, elk and buffalo to include the freshest, in-season and often wild regionally-sourced fish and seafood.
"Fairly expensive but the quality of the food, the view of the lake, service and wine list was well worth it. We actually went two nights in a row with friends."

"We were greeted warmly and shown to a table by the windows (as requested). Joe came to the table and was attentive throughout the meal. George and the head wine steward were attentive and left us with good memories. The food: Presentation was good, however the quality was not memorable. The scallop appetiser and the elk were prepared well, presented well and overall, exquisite. The filet was presented medium rare rather than medium and lacked flavor. The mushrooms were forgettable and the creamed spinach disappointing. Desert was good. Service - saved by Joe and George"

"Excellent is the best way to describe the Lone Eagle. On the shores of Lake Tahoe the view from inside is tremendous. It's $$$$$ but worth every penny."

"Went for Dinner at the Lone Eagle Grille. It's worth it just to come in and see the view of Lake Tahoe. Wide variety of foods and even had a separate vegetarian menu which a member of our party was glad to see. They left an Ipad at the table for us to sort through all the available drinks which was interesting. Everything was delicious. Staff was very nice and accommodating. An evening dinner on the patio is great and the ability to walk on the beach and onto the dock. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Incline Village."

"The service was outstanding, and the sommelier was very helpful and respectful when I brought in a special wine. The atmosphere is wonderful with a beautiful view of the lake. My New York steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, and we both got sides of vegetables that were cooked just right (not overcooked or under cooked) and had a wonderful flavor."

"Seated immediately. Exotic items on the menu, e.g., elk and bison. Our table was next to a fireplace. Nice and cozy, except it was next to the main path used for seating customers who arrived after we did."

"Big room, tastefully done, serving big game dishes done artfully. Bison and Antelope both were grilled beautifully. Kristi the Sommelier made the meal special. Knowledegable and extremely friendly. Going back for "Wine on the Water"."

"This restaurant is in an incredibly beautiful spot, and is a beautiful restaurant itself with a huge fireplace and amazing views of Lake Tahoe. It has a great bar and lounge area as well. The menu was a little too precious for our taste: they have "upgraded" their menu to include several "unique" items such as elk loin - can't judge how good that might be as we didn't order it. The beet salad was drowning in an oily sauce and looked more like pieces of jello than beets. The steak was just okay, not up to the price. However the service was great, the desserts were great, the pasta was great. And they have a vegetarian menu too which was interesting!"

"5 of us at dinner. One of the signature dishes, short ribs, were tough and difficult to cut and eat. One piece of meat was served on top of risotto, which was made with an excessive amount of very pungent parmasean cheese. It would have been nice had the server offered some options for the risotto at the beginning of our meal. Prices very expensive for what was served. Also, 2 moderate bottles of wine (average quality) cost nearly $200. It's a pretty restaurant but a disappointing experience this time."

"Casual but upscale. A better value for your dollar than many other fine dining places around Lake Tahoe. Stunning view and alpine rustic decor make it a good place to take someone special. While they have dropped their traditional prime rib from the dinner menu, their steaks are the best, with a side of their mushroom medley. And their margarita on the rocks sets the tone for a pleasurable evening."

"The food was very good once you figured out what was what. The menu was a little more complicated than it needed to be.
The service was good, but I have never been a fan of one server taking your order and another person you've never seen before bringing your food out; it just never goes smoothly."

"This was our 4th time at Lone Eagle, but the first time we have gone back since their renovations. It looked as lovely as ever, but they changed the menu. Almost completely new. They had this chicken with Morel Mushroom sauce that was to die for, but alas, it is no longer on the menu.
The service did not seem quite as good as it has been on our prior visits. Overall it was a good visit, just dissapointed they removed our favorite dishes. I could not give 5 stars for this visit."

"Great dinner in a very special setting. Wait in bar was not so wonderful: very crowded, wine at $14. a glass, and poorly behaving children. Next time we will arrive just in time for dinner seating and skip the chaos in the bar."

"We've been going to Lone Eagle Grill for about 10 years. We come to Incline Village in March to ski. The last few years we had been disappointed in the quality of the food, but went this year just because it's a tradition. What a wonderful surprise we had. The food was excellent, and we found a new favorite wine. Service was excellent as it always has been. We were very happy with our dinner and will be excited to go back next year."

"We order a bottle of wine... After the first little taste was pored, we had to pot our own wine the while dinner. We only saw our waiter twice... To take our order and to make sure we got the right plates! The worst service ever!! And I am still kicking myself cuz I tipped him!!!! Our dinners looked like they were just thrown on the plate ... Really disappointed and feel like they don't appreciate the fact that I spent 240 of my hard earned money at their place!!! Too bad,.. I just bought a house in Incline and am not going to rush back there!"

"Very pricey with a menu geared to those on expense accounts. The dinner menu seems to have nothing unique- just a choice of various steaks and fin fish. I miss the prime rib, which was always delicious. The lunch menu is much more limited than it was a year or so ago, although I must say the hamburger with a fried egg was unique and delicious (despite being expensive). The menu, in my opinion, needs a lot of tweaking. The lunch menu has WAY too many items in the $25 range that would be more suitable for dinner."

"This can be both elegant dining and casual lunch. Food and atmosphere are outstanding. Only one drawback, they charged a $70 corkage fee for a magnum of wine that we brought. I expected to pay corkage, just not that much. In their defense, they did inform us before they uncorked it, but it would have been embarrassing to have brought it and not drink it because of the fee. Plus it was a special bottle of Silver Oak for a special occasion. I feel the fee should be the same regardless of the size of the bottle. It doesn't take them any more effort to open it!"

"4th visit, always a favorite, I booked the Valentines reservation a month in advance requesting a party of 2 window or fireplace seating. We were sat at a extra large table for 6 in the kitchen alcove, I saw my wifes face not happy as this was our 25th anniversery. I stepped back to the hostess that immediately accomidated us to a small window seating, touche!!! lone eagle."

"I came in for an early Valentine's dinner with my lady. We received nothing but the best of care from our server, as well as the staff in general (service assistant, hostesses, manager, and even the hotel staff who drove us right to the door.) The food was superb, and the atmosphere to die for. Being seated near the fireplace, my best lady was able to enjoy her meal with warmth on her back. Overall, this was the best restaurant I have ever been to. It was a great find and I look forward to returning for my next special occasion."

"One of our favorite spots at North Shore. The three other people in our party enjoyed their entrees but mind was awful. Undercooked, cold unseasoned monk fish with undercooked (hard) potato slices in a very strange sauce. Served on a long dish - the entree piled at one end. Very odd and very expensive $42! Won't order that again.
Service is always great. Nice wine list."

"At NYC prices Lone Eagle was a big disappointment. Since we live in Incline we love coming to this restaurant, especially for those "special" occasions. The food was not well prepared. The monk fish, which was very small, was dried out and tasteless. It came with mushrooms and potatoes. I asked to have swiss chard substituted for the potatoes. They mixed the mushrooms, which were rubbery, with the swiss chard in one heap. This was not a good presentation. My husband's dish was equally disappointing. I can only imagine they have a new chef. Please bring back the old chef. The wine selections were over-priced by a substantial percentage. More than doubling the price of a bottle of wine is greedy. Sorry Hyatt, you've lost us."

"Great meal and plenty of options to choose from. The wine list is over priced and offensive but well selected. To charge $35 for a corkage fee is also insulting and a major turnoff. Great staff; attentive and friendly."
