Lambert’s Steaks, Seafood and Whiskey, located next to the burgeoning 7th Street District between Downtown Fort Worth and the Art’s District, is reminiscent of a gussied up small town Steak House. Centered around a live oak grill and smoker, customers are treated to all natural meats, produce and seafood. Lambert’s menu changes seasonally, based on freshness and availability of products. Since opening in March 2008, Lambert’s has been voted Top 10 New Restaurants in DFW by Dallas Morning News & Best New Restaurant/Best Brunch in Ft. Worth Weekly.

"Great dining experience - fantastic food. My New York City guest proclaimed the food on par with any fine Manhattan restaurant. Our fish was cooked perfectly, the sauces were divine. Try the boar ribs, they are a must-have."

"We arrived a bit before our reservation time so we coud enjoy a drink in the bar. This part of our evening was great with attentive service and good drinks. I will also say that the sevice was very good throughout the evening. However, the good experience came to an end with the food. The sea bass feature was served on a bed of lump crabmeat and mango salsa. The fish was under seasoned and over cooked. The salsa could have been out of a can. The beer battered seafood platter was very undercooked and the pancake like batter was tastless and gummy. The chicken fried steak was good and the bread pudding desert was overly sweet and had a gummy texture. In summary, a very over-rated restaurant. Nice atmosphere, poor food. Will not rerurn."

"We had an 8:00 reservation, but our earlier plans fell through so we arrived early. They were very accommodating at seating us early. Our server and the food were both excellent. There was live music but it was just the right level so that you could still carry on a discussion with no problems. A very nice and relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will definitely return in the future."

"everything was fresh and perfectly executed for sunday brunch. the salmon benedict is unbelieveable. the pastries all taste freshly made from the english muffins that catch all the sauce and yolk from the benedict - to the brioche for the french toast. the migas are fantastic. you have to get chili cheese grits for the table. great service - friendly staff, fun upscale rustic atmosphere. you hardly miss the old Pedro's Trailer Park"

"Great food and setting (off the regular path and away from the crowds)! Our waiter was excellent and provided some great tips about yoga and good health that made for a very enjoyable conversation with our family. The special delight was the music that JAZZED up our pleasure and comfort.
It was an extra pleasure to have our car waiting (Valet Parking) for us as we exited from the restaurant on a cold day. A very enjoyable Valentine's Day!"

"The dinner was really good. The seafood was better than excellent and the steak was just good. We enjoyed the music very much and do intend to take friends back to eat there. The waitress we had needs to brush up on being female friendly. You could really tell she knew he was paying the bill. I was just a chair sitting there to her. Other than the server it was really good."

"Our server, Jeremy F., was unobtrusive & knowledgeable. He was quiet and courteous. He wasn't exuberant or flamboyant. He answered our questions succinctly but thoroughly and that, to us, is the mark of an excellent server. The food was just as expected- excellent start to finish. We chose the scampied shrimp appetizer with plum barbecue sauce and it was delicious. The shrimp was tender and fresh. We chose the rib eye and prime rib for our entrees and both were cooked to perfection. The parmesan fries were crisp and the cheese added a great salty accent. The mac-n-cheese had a thick burnt crust of ooey cheese that was just the way I like it."

"First experience at Lambert's. Everything was okay. The food tasted good but was too much in quantity; pricing was ala carte so it can be pricey ($50 each with no dessert/one glass of wine) .... the music was nice but way too loud. We arrived at 7:30pm, was seated at a table at the back and it was difficult from that table to hear the waiter and difficult to carry on a conversation. Definitely not a romantic setting for V-Day or any day when music of that volume is present. Not great for groups if you wish to catch-up with each other. Probably would not go back for dinner; but may give it a try for lunch if they're open at that time. It might be a good late-night find with the music and bar."

"been for dinner here twice, first time for brunch, very pleased! We didn't know about the live jazz, so that was a nice lagniappe. Oh I cculd have just stuck with the prime rib benedict and been happy....but that would have meant I would have missed out on the green chili cheese grits (yum! but watch out, the burn will sneak up on ya) and the beautifully poached (not smoked!) salmon, and the pan roasted taties and and and....of course....the unadvertised dessert (red velvet cake & chocolate cream pie, could have had the coconut cream pie too, but where to put it?)...we waddled happily out....we live in Dallas so this was ~70 mile roundtrip, but we will gladly make the drive again."

"Sunday Valentine's Day Brunch started poorly when the hostess took a call after being told our name for the reso and proceeded to recite the entire brunch menu to the caller; then make their reso. After the call ended, she wanted to seat us in an area we did not want (the dining room had many tables empty) and when we asked for a 2-top next to the window, she left us saying they expected a party of 11 and she needed to look into it. While we stood there again waiting for her, one of the wait staff took interest in us and graciously seated us in our desired spot. After that, everything was wonderful. Food was outstanding (salmon especially), spinach omlet, brioche french toast, migas, potatoes-delicious! We ended up having a great time!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Lamberts. The service was a little slow, but the food was worth the weight. We started with the green chile queso (nearly the best dish of the night) and the calamari. I had the braised short rib which was delicious, along with the macaroni and cheese. Two in our party tried the chicken fried steak. It was an enormous portion. It was good, but not anything more spectacular that what is served at other restaurants. The final person on our group had the peppered tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly, but was a little too peppery. She had the grits as a side item. They were excellent."

"In a city with many good steak restaurants - Lamberts delivered some of the best beef we have had lately! The sides were all consistently good and the food was fun and well prepared. The decor has a Texas feel making this a fun choice to take out of towners in to visit Cowtown. We brought guests from New Zealand. Have previously taken them to Reata and Bonnells. They loved Lamberts! Will definitely go back."

"The ambiance of the restaurant is very conducive to both friends and couples enjoying a night out. The open dining room creates a pretty noisy environment during peak hours, however. The food was very good and served at a good pace despite the heavy load on the kitchen. My only complaint about the food was that my steak had a bit too much fat on it for my taste, but it tasted very good."

"Food, service, and ambiance were all terrific. The waiter even split our wine by the bottle up into separate checks. I was very impressed and will be back again for sure. My only complaint was the noise level. Concrete floors with no rugs make for a very noisy room. I wish there were something to absorb the sound. It was hard to talk to everyone in my group of eight. Would be terrific for a table of 4 or less."

"We just had the most wonderful brunch. It really is the best in the region. I really like the option of a delicious buffet (fruit salad/smoked salmon/migas/potatoes/bacon/sausage/primerib/ham) combined with "to order" selections (green chili cheese grits/3 kinds of Eggs Benedict/waffles, eggs to order, Spinach omelet with feta). It really allows for a great deal of flexibility all for one very reasonable fixed price, including coffee. For a few $ you can choose the bottomless mimosas. Highly recommended for brunch. I wasn't so thrilled with Lambert's when we went for dinner a few months back, but this knocks it out of the park."

"We were disappointed with this, our second visit to Lambert's. The table for two was extremely small (no tablecloth). The seabass, which was good on our first visit, was soggy and disappointing. The steak was inedible (full of obvious gristle). The wine glasses are stemless, which decreases our enjoyment of an expensive bottle. We will not return."

"Our appetizer, the meat and cheese tray, was a bit pricey for what we got. Three out of the four of us ordered the sea bass and it was delicious! We had an early reservation so the jazz band was not yet playing and there were only a few other parties in the restaurant so the noise level was low--perfect for hearing our own conversation. However, we were sorry we missed the band. Our waiter was less than enthusiastic--it was almost comical. We wondered if we'd woken him from a nap! However our our food came out timely and hot. This wasn't our first visit and I'm sure it won't be our last!"

"This was our third trip to this self proclaimed 'steak' place. First two visits were lackluster, this trip brought to light that it has all come together for Lambert's. Well, two of us had the sea bass special, and it was excellent. Two had the tenderloin which was tender and not overcooked. Across the board, we agreed that our dinners were above average. The sides were done to perfection: the mashed potatoes, historically bland and lumpy, were seasoned just right, and the consistency was the way grandma would have done it. Grilled asparagus was perfect. If you haven't been in awhile, you need to try Lambert's again."

"My rib-eye wasn't the greatest cut of meat ever. But the sides were wonderful and my dining partners' steaks were better quality. Our waited was friendly, but not very sharp. We had to correct him a couple times."
