Enjoy fine dining in a modern tavern atmosphere. Inspired Northwest cuisine is served in a historic Portland landmark. High ceilings showcase the massive Doug Fir beams, walnut floors and original brickwork. A full bar and over 100 selections of wine focusing on Northwest producers, showcases the bounty the Northwest has to offer. Three distinct dining areas offers guests a quiet dining experience in the main dining room or livelier setting in the tavern. Located in the heart of Old Town, Davis Street Tavern is an essential Portland experience.
"Our first time to Davis Street. What a fabulous evening. Can't wait to go back. It was my husbands birthday and they didn't miss a beat on any level. The food was amazing. From the presentation of the food to the quality and taste. We started with the crab bisque that was heaven we then had the seared halibut & New York Strip steak both were perfectly cooked. Had a nice bottle of champagne and ended our dinner with very tasty bread pudding. The ambiance is amazing and the wait staff extremely knowledgable and helpful. A very upscale restaurant at the same time being very comfortable and welcoming. Can't wait to go back."

"The Anderson Ranch Lamb Burger was an awesome flavor combination -- feta, dried apricot, roasted red onion, pine nuts and a spicy mint yogurt. It'd be worth the three-hour drive to Portland just to have it again!"

"We had a large party and had to add quite a few on to the reservations last minute, they were very flexible. We were given a great table and excellent service! This was our first time here, and we will be back!"

"food was ok. the service was really......really..... slow. we had a lot of people waiting for drinks. they could have almost doubled the revenue for drinks from our group if they would have come around more. i thought it was a goal for a for-profit company to maximize customer service yet at the same time, maximize reveneu. NOT FOUND AT DAVIS STREET... ALSO.......it was not busy so i don't get it. I would definitely not recommend this rest...for larger groups. maybe they are ok with smaller group sizes. don't know, will never know. if people want to wait an hour....and get old while waiting for a drink..........DAVIS STREET IS YOUR PLACE............... i hope they take this post seriously"

"A very versatile place with a lively front room and bar or a quieter back room. We requested a quiet table, and got just that. A nice level of music meant that diners didn't have to listen to the conversation at other tables. The service was attentive, not over-involved; the food tasty, and as described; atmosphere very pleasant. I plan to return again and again. We shared a generously sized salad, then for entrees enjoyed the salmon and the risotto."

"The food is always well-balanced and beautifully prepared. The service is never fussy and the space is comfortable without being casual. Just what I look for in a restaurant...great food without the fuss."

"A "pearl' on the edge of the Pearl. One of the best restaurants in Portland hands down. A mix of smart casual with foodie sophistication that make this a repeat and soon to be regular place for our dining. Don't let the location deceive you... the old town charm is preserved in the interior design, and the food, drink and service is of the level that few in the city can match. Highly recommended."

"A friend and I ate there recently. We arrived at the reservation time and were seated immediately. As it was an early dinner (5:30) we ate from the happy hour menu, which allowed us to order 4 items. They were all great. I have eaten there several times before and have always been happy. This is the place I usually go when I want steak and pomme frites as they do them so well."

"Our dinner was fantastic. The staff was energetic and very friendly. Food was delicious. Definitely will come back. And so very glad that I made reservations through OpenTable. There were folks waiting for tables 15 minutes after we arrived. Also, great mix of cocktails."

"Took my wife for lunch and was very disapointed. My soup was cold, and the server did not even remember to bring my wife her tea until the check came. VERY different experience from my prior after-work cocktail hour visit which was terrific. Great drinks, ambiance, and appetizers. Give up on lunches and stick to what you're good at. Being a Tavern after 5PM. Or, learn how to make a better lunch scene."

"Overall a nice evening with 10 work colleagues. Because of the size of or group they automatically added a 25% tip. Usually I'm fine with that practice but the service was good but not great and they messed up my order. So I probably would not have left them such a large tip. The food was good, and the setting was nice for a get together of that nature."
