"We celebrated our 30th anniversary at the Jamesport Manor with a truly lovely meal. We have been here on one other occasion and both experiences have been wonderful, we will return!"

"I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. It was fantastic from beginning to end! I told them it was my birthday and at dessert our waitress, Nicole included a candle in my panna cotta and sang Happy Birthday to me!"

"We have dined at the Jamesport Manor Inn on several occasions. It is a place to consistantly get a really special meal from beginning to end. We seldom make the effort to write a restaurant review, but when a place is reliably commendable, they deserve our effort. Most recently six of us went there for the Restaurant Week special menu. Between the six of us, our table sampled numerous different menu items. EVERYONE enjoyed each item from appetizer to dessert. We might also add that while other restaurants downsize their portions during restaurant week and leave you wishing you could have another forkful or two, The Jamesport Manor Inn serves normal, satisfying size portions where you feel that you are getting your money's worth."

"The Jamesport Manor Inn has earned a fan! The service was fantastic and the food.....magnificent! Kudos to the chef! We had flounder and the lamb shank. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. We were pleasantly surprised when we happened upon the Inn. It's on a lovely "country road" across from a vineyard. The Inn, a beautiful Victorian style mansion, is gorgeous & the stars out at night took our breath away. We'll definitely be back!"

"The beet and calamari salads were delicious, but the flounder entree was very disappointing for both of us--the fish was dry and without flavor and the mushroom sauce/gravy would be more suited to a meat dish. Nice wine, though, and the service and ambience were excellent!"

"This is a very nice looking restaurant. An old converted large house. We had a reservation thru open table and only waited 5 minutes for our table as it was Hamptons Restaurant week. 3 course meal $28. Food was good, warm crusty bread:} Nice size portions, decorated nicely. Had beet salad which was good, until i discovered there was bacon in it but was not listed as an ingredient on menu{ i am vegetarian} Entree, flounder, mushrooms and field greens was good but lacking a bit of flavor. Water was constantly being replenished. Servers did not know where meals were going, there was only my wife and i. Dessert was good. Will try again:} maybe for lunch"

"We had Easter dinner at The Jamesport Manor Inn, and the experience was fair at best. While the Manor itself is beautiful, the service and the food were only fair. Both of our dinners needed salt, and there was no salt on any of the tables, although we did not request salt, the party next to us did. Our experience may be because it was a holiday, but it was not a full house;there were several empty tables. Most disappointing was their wine list by the glass, pitiful."

"Best Duck breast I have ever had. Fat perfectly rendered to a crispy perfection. And it was cooked to my preference. I would have liked just a bit more pasta w the dish though. The short ribs were delicious and plentiful. The "gravy was to die for along with the carrots and potatoe/turnip smash. The rooms are beautifully decorated. I could imagine that it would be lovely in the summer when the gardens are blooming. We will be back!"

"We were a group of retired teachers that meet each month for lunch and conversation. The Jamesport Manor Inn was definitely one of the top places we have been from Patchogue to Sag Harbor."

"We went for Valentine's Day Lunch, I had Oysters (so fresh! and not a single grain of sand) and the Crab Meat Mac N Cheese that was anything but ordinary, so rich I could only eat half of it, but my fiance took the rest to work with him and got to enjoy it that night! He ordered the Steak Sandwich, which was a huge portion, and very reasonably priced. They even gave us a complimentary glass of Champagne because we told them we wanted to have dinner but could only have lunch because of our work schedules. Staff was polite, friendly, and very organized, no issues what-so-ever. If you haven't been here because you're afraid of the pricing don't be!"

"Experienced the Valentine's Day special menu which was NOT a treat. The bay scallop appetizer was good, but the risotto over salted, the flounder was prepared well, but accompanying potatoes were burned. The creme brulee dessert was devoid of both flavor and texture. We enjoyed our glasses of local wine, but the service was dreadful. Folks at a nearby table finally told the waiter to skip their request for additional wine because it was "too late". We had the same experience. There seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so hard to understand the lack of service--perhaps our bad luck to get a lousy waiter. We dined here because we had been given a gift certificate. Have been disappointed here on other occasions. Will not return."

"While the food was excellent (it always is), the service was very very poor. And it wasn't even a busy night for them, as there were a lot of tables empty. Between losing a customer's coat (it was a cold night) to bringing food out to the wrong tables (another entree was brought to a table that had just finished their dinner; we initially got the wrong dessert) to the waitresses just being overly chatty with some customers while neglecting others, the service just needs to improve. And especially on a special occassion like Valentine's Day. I remember their wine-pairing dinners were just superb with the service. Here's hoping they revert back."
