Mediterranean inspired small plates in the heart of "Restaurant Row" conveniently located in the West Loop on Randolph St. Extensive Mediterranean Wine List In Chicago's Most Romantic Restaurant. Where food is heart and soul.
"Great restaurant - I was a little nervous after the 4th course that it was not going to be enough food to feed the 4 hungry men at my table, but after the delicious bread pudding, we were stuffed.
Note: We got the sangria - mango was a hit, avoid the raspberry."

"My wife and I had tickets to the Symphony on Friday. She works in Wicker Park and I work in West Loop. Late on Thursday Night, we figured that our schedules would work to have dinner before CSO. I figured that Randolph Street would be a good option for a place to get a last minute reservation (the Loop would be all booked), at a good place. I saw in Open Table that there was room at Nia, we'd never been. Our res was for 6 and I put in the reservation that we had to wrap up by 715-720 to get to the Symphony. They "managed" our time very well for us by asking if we'd like more tapas (while we were chatting away), more pita/bread for the dips, and also timed things so we felt comfy, time-wise, for dessert and coffee. It was all good."

"We stumbled upon Nia Mediterranean on a recent visit to Chicago. What a treat! Beautiful décor and an intimate dining room, coupled with a very friendly and inviting staff started our visit off great. We had the Prix Fixe Dinner Special, only $33 per person, and we received 8 delicious courses of hot and cold tapas. A foodie-heaven of scrumptious flavors, there were lots of dishes to choose from, including vegetarian options! The wine list was impressive, and the craft cocktails were imaginative and refreshing. We, of course, had to try “The Best Sangria in Chicago” and were not disappointed. I think it’s definitely the best sangria I have ever had, in my life!! Lots of delicious food, nice relaxed atmosphere, no-pretentiousness here!"

"The menu is fantastic and all the food was good. However, the service was awful. We waited 30 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Had a horrible time trying to track down our waiter to order more food, and frequently we went 15-20 minutes with empty wine glasses. We ate and drank less than we would have, simply because we couldn't handle sitting around and waiting any longer. May go back, but perhaps on a slower week night, as we did enjoy the food we had."

"On the Randolf St strip there are many choices & Greektown is nearby so this place doesn't stand out. The Greek-inspired tapas were good but not great. It seems a bit expensive for what it is."

"There is really nothing special about this restaurant. The food is fair. Also, it seems that the same sauce was used on nearly all of the dishes that we ordered. A little variety would not be bad. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as a destination. It is fine if you're in the neighborhood and other places are full."

"Met a friend for drinks and light dinner after work. Service was very attentive. We just had salads and an appetizer from the cold plates section of the menu and they were delicious. I would like to return with a heartier appetite to try the 8 course small plates menu, which looked to have a very nice variety at a very reasonable price. I liked this restaurant MUCH better than the over-hyped, over-priced menu and pretentious service at Girl & the Goat, which is on the same block."

"Went here on a whim for a girlfriend's b-day after shopping. We had a drink at the bar and then ate dinner in the dining room. We did the Chef's menus and were STUFFED by the end of it! Marty was a great waiter/ bartender and made the night more enjoyable. Great place for some tapas and drinks."

"Tapas are tasty and a good value for the money. I was glad to see a large selection of non-seafood tapas because seafood seems to be the overwhelming favorite among diners. I would definitely return."

"It's not very often that you find a restaurant that makes you feel like a part of their family, Nia does that. From the time you walk in until you leave the service is impeccable. The food, wow, I can't pinpoint one word to describe but amazing comes to mind. If you love great food and great service, then visit Nia."

"Excellent food and service in an intimate space. We went early and practically had the place to ourselves, which was nice. It got more crowded and noisy into the evening, but never got too loud. Prices are reasonable, servings just right and a wide range of offerings."

"Have been there twice,--once late summer outside and now winter indoor. Menu a broad variety of Southern Mediteranean and Middle Eastern tapas is excellent, ample and reasonably priced. Owner, host and wait staff very attentive. Convenient Near West Side location. Romantic for couples yet casual for afterwork with colleagues/friends. I am definitely anticipating being a regular."

"Great service from the waiter! I don't think they were prepared for the rush on Valentines Day cause it was slow at the beginning but picked up after that. Food was exceptional. Very good menu. The wine was delicious and paired well with the courses. Great place for a date!"

"The staff was very accommodating for the picky ones of our group but still made the experience delicious and memorable for the rest of us foodies. I will definitely keep coming back and bringing more friends ans family with. I really loved the mushrooms probably the best I've ever had. The pumpkin gnocchi was fabulous too. My meat and potatoes friend loved the steak and the salmon."

"Nia is a fun place to go in a group! Half the fun was collectively figuring out what we were going to order. My friends ordered an item or 2 that I wasn't sure if I would like but when tasting it ... it was delicious! I felt like I was on an adventure! The food looked beautiful and everything had flavor! I look forward to my next adventure!"

"We went for restaurant week and had the 8 course menu. I was a little disappointed at first that the portions were so small. But by the end of the meal, I was glad they had been. If they had been any larger, I would not have been able to finish the meal. Food was good overall, although I didnt feel like it was "authentic" Greek food. If you are going for a good Greek meal, there are better places to go. If you are just going for good-tasting food, a nice/quieter atmosphere and good service, then this place fits the bill."

"We decided to try Nia Mediterranean for Chicago's Restaurant Week. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Eight courses of little (tapas)plates, just the right amount of food. I do agree with another reviewer that the music needs working on. Instead of playing Top 40, which just did not fit the ambiance of the restaurant, more authentic Greek or ethnic music would really complete the package. Otherwise, a great experience!"

"I tried Nia during Restaurant Week with a couple of my friends. The tapas dishes that stood out the most for me were the crab cakes, hummus, and tiramisu. The crab cakes were delicious, but small. However, the other dishes we ordered (butternut squash, pork tenderloin, and Nia salad) were just average. The seasoning for the pork tenderloin was over done and the butternut squash wasn't anything special. Overall, the atmosphere was really calm and relaxing and the service was exceptional! It is definitely a good spot for a date! However, judging on the food alone, I do not think I will return to Nia."

"This was my first time at Nia, we ordered the 8 course dinner for $33 and it was amazing. The portions were very generous and tasty, and the service was great. The only complaint we had about this restaurant was the music. It was terrible and actually annoying. The ambiance of the restaurant does not match the "Mediterranean" theme. It’s supposed to be romantic but it wasn’t. Overall, we were very pleased."
