"We had Mother's Day brunch at Molly Cool's and it was great! The staff (hostess, waitress, omlette station, carving station) were all extremely friendly and did whatever they could to make sure all moms in attendence were taken care of. The omlette station, carving station, and desserts were the highlights of the meal. The buffet items were good, but there wasn't a lot of selection and the fish was kind of drying out. All in all, it was a very positive and enjoyable experience due to the friendly service, outstanding view of the river, and delicious omlettes and prime rib! I am looking forward to trying this place again sometime before or after an event at the BMO Harris Bradley Center."

"The brunch was average if not a bit sparce with very little innovative dishes and nothing truly justifying the $26 per person cost. Having to pay $13 for a 5 yr old and having 18% gratuity added to a table of 4 seemed excessive. We go to mothers day brunch every year and this was the most disappointing by far. Devon seafood restaurant was much better."

"I always viewed Molly Cool's as an upscale experience with great food offerings. We had booked an early dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. When we arrived we were seated promptly as there were few people there. The staff was breaking down the Buffet/Brunch at the time. Unfortunately they were taking down tables with a lot of slam banging noise oblivious to diners, and further annoying was that the music was playing way to loud (AC DC?) for anyone to enjoy a quiet Mother's day dinner. We asked twice to please turn the music down and they finally did to some degree. As always, food was excellent and the service was good but the atmosphere had already disappointed. Still a great place to sit at the bar and have oysters or outside dining."

"Maybe it's because it was Mother's Day and busy, but a return visit to Molly Cool's in Milwaukee was disappointing. The bisque was too tomato-y and had grease floating on top, seafood paella was bland, my son's NY strip was just okay. My daughter's lobster was pretty good however. The featured Mother's Day red velvet bundt cake seemed to come from a Sara Lee box right out of the freezer - it was cold and hard, although it didn't taste bad. All in all the quality was significantly down from our visit there a couple of months ago. Service was good and friendly, but I can't recommend it."

"The restaurant was reasonably empty, but the music level was obnoxiously loud. When we asked for it to be reduced our waiter said he could but then never did. The food was actually good and they have "half" portions which suited our needs. If the place was crowded maybe the music would not have been an issue, but it did bother us."

"First time visit to Molly Cool's. Wanted something within walking distance to the Marcus Center for pre-theatre dinner. Molly Cool's worked out great. The place is huge and it had a very energetic feel to it. Service was prompt and friendly. Wine list is not extravagant but there is a nice variety with different price points. The menu is extensive but I went with the fresh grouper which was excellent. You can chose from a variety of side dishes but the Molly cakes were really good. Portions for both meals was more than enough and the prices were competitive."

"First (& last)time here. Varied menu from raw to fried. Crab Rangoon and stuffed mushrooms weren't bad but nothing you can't get from the grocery store. Caprese salads were just leafy greens with some mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes tucked under one side. The scallops were tender and tasty but again nothing outstanding. The ribeye was thin, tenderized and tasteless.

The atmosphere was cutesy. In lieu of nautical trinkets were attempts at seafood-related witticisms and large pictures of boats at low tide, etc. Except over our table where accompanying the oh-so-clever "We serve po' boys...and rich ones too" was a 3ftx5ft photo of a bare chested, hairy, 98lb weakling grabbing his love handle. Blecch."

"Can not really comment on the outdoor dinning as it is March in Milwaukee. The food was very good. They know how to treat fish without killing it with over cooking it. The calamari was tender with a great coating. The walleye fingers were very delicate. The cedar garlic bread is great, but will raise your cholesterol by ten points.
We had a nice meal at a fair price."

"High end prices for mediocre food (at best) and not so great service. If you are going to charge that price for food, the waitstaff should be more professionally dressed. Was very confused...is this place going for the bar/pub fish in baskets style or a high-end restaurant? Hostesses didn't even greet us and were leaning against the podium and just appeared sloppy. My fish was not good, very rubbery, too much garlic in the garlic mashed potatoes, green beans way over-seasoned. Calamari appetizer tasted like Luke warm rubber bands encased in styrofoam. Just horrible! We won't be back."

"Received my food barely warm on the verge of cold. Especially the broccoli and the scallops. They reheated the dinner and then it was ok. There was an argument going on in the back room with the staff and a patron. He was told to leave, this was very disruptive to my dining experience."

"We made our reservation at 4:30 pm on Sunday. Surprisingly the restaurant was full soon after we got there. My husband ordered blackened mahi mahi. He said it wasn't bad but the spice was a little overpowering to the point where he could not really taste the fish. I had grouper. The side dishes were good, but the fish was rather dry and a little disappointing. We dined there a couple of times before and our experiences were better, so we will come back and try something else next time."

"Molly Cools is always a treat, service is great, food is great at a reasonable price. The only thing I wish was a bit different is the parking but I guess it is always going to be tough when it is a downtown location. I would recommend Molly Cool's to anyone that loves seafood."

"They advertise valet parking for dinner, but fail to tell you that if there is an "event" at the Bradley Center the night you want to eat there, be prepared to pay $20 for parking!!!! Bad advertising on their part. Also, the music was way too loud. Could hardly talk to anyone at the table."

"The music was very loud when we were there however, there was a Marquette game that night so I can't say whether it's like that all the time. Our waiter was fantastic and the food was awesome. We will definitely come back in the summer and try and outdoor seating!"

"Using open table was a great idea, we were seated right away. Our server was good. We had the crab artichoke dip which was fabulous. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which I thought based on the price would be a little bigger and have more than 8 pieces of lobster in it. Needless to say I was disappointed. I would recommend this place because the food is decent and the view is amazing."

"I attended fat Tuesdays maradi gras all you can it for 29.95 , I arrived at 7and couldn't eat Neil 8 because once I decided to do the buffet there was a long wait until they brought out more food. Our waiter was great and the food was very good nice concept but not enought varieties for the price. When I think about a buffet, I think about options and mine was limited."

"Maybe they were short-staffed when we were in on a Sunday morning, because even though the place was fairly empty, we were about to leave when our waitress finally came to take our order after 20 minutes. Anytime she was in the vacinity of our table she would rush past with her head down the whole time. It was impossible to get her attention! The food was good, but not great."

"3:30pm on a Saturday, we were offered seating by the window or in the bar area, which we chose the booth by the window which overlooks the Milwaukee River, even though it's winter it's nice to look at. heat vents right next to the window; comfortable, warm booth.
Food was very good; a cup of each soup, Crab Bisque & New England Seafood Chowder. Both delicious. Swordfish, green beans, garlic mashed. King Crab legs, asparagus, garlic mashed, added creole hollandaise for asparagus. $2 extra they split the crab legs which makes it easier to manage. The waiter seemed to be missing during the last half hour we were there; we wanted our plates removed and skipped dessert because we lost interest by the time he returned."
