Sargasso is North Central West Virginia's premier dining destination. Sargasso is a unique, upscale restaurant located in Morgantown, West Virginia. "We went to celebrate my son's graduation!!! Dinner took over 55 minutes to arrive, no bread to tide us over (they actually TOLD us they don't serve bread on graduation weekend!!) , the pork chop was so dry you could hardly cut it with the knife, the salad had no dressing and the margarita was actually made with just fresh lime juice and tequila. My salmon was passable and my son's steak was not terrible, but for the price both should have been much better.
It was such a disappointment since when we walked it the ambiance was so lovely. I would NEVER go back and NEVER recommend it to another soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Food was meh. We both had the filet and wedge salads. Nothing special...especially for a $37 dollar steak. I've had better steaks/meals at an Outback restaurant. Service was sub par too. We thought our waiter might break if he cracked a smile. Zero personality. Bar area looked fun. I would probably go again for drinks w friends but not a sit down dinner."

"I am a Malaysian but the Malaysian lamb dish was below par. The calamari was good. Very tasty. I even got someone who didn't like calamari eat it and said it was not as "rubbery". Perhaps the menu needs altered occasionally to entice my return."

"Cannot say enough about this restaurant! Excellent food, wonderful service. Always a nice treat for my wife and I. Steak was perfect and my wife declares there is nothing better than Chef Simons scallops. If they are on the menu she orders them without fail and is never disappointed! Topped off by a slice of cheesecake, this dinner was superb!"

"We were in town for a basketball game and looking for a nice restaurant for a two-day getaway. Sargasso was perfect. I had the chicken kebab and my husband had the pork tenderloin special. We sat near the kitchen and it was the most peaceful and quiet kitchen I think I've ever seen. Service was good. I had a great Chimay bottled beer but wish there were some good beers on tap. We had dessert (but no appetizers) and were out of the restaurant in about 90 minutes, which I consider quite good. We plan to make the Kansas-WVU game an annual event and will definitely be back to Sargasso. Thanks."
