Welcome to the new Loose Moose, featuring a brand new menu and the largest draught beer selection in downtown Toronto.
Since pouring our first pint in 1989, a lot has changed at The Loose Moose. And yet, so much has remained the same. Our space is different, but our address isn’t. Our business has grown, but we’re still independent. And now, even with the most draught beers downtown, we’re no beer snobs. Never have been. Never will be.
After all, staying true to yourself is how you make new friends - and keep old ones. Anyone who’s stopped by The Loose Moose to unwind after work, watch the game or make a night of it will tell you the same.
"This was my favorite place to eat during our visit to Toronto. The food is your typical bar selections (burgers, sliders, fish and chips, etc.) but done really well. The beer list is massive and there are a lot of great Canadian beers available. Make sure you save room for the Antler Room Donuts. It does get really boisterous and the quarters are close, but that's part of what makes this an awesome place."

"The food was good as was the service. While I would like to go again so I could try more items from the menu, everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and the general ambience of the restaurant."

"My guest sent an e-mail enquiring about the menu and never received a response. Menu should indicate if selections are spicy and should have more detail. i.e. the tacos did not indicate whethere there were toppings or not."

"We were a group of 12, and at no point were we made aware that a "Service fee" (aka gratuity) was automatically added to our bills. Many of us included tips on our bills not realizing that we were now tipping at 30+%! Not a happy way to end the night. Further, we (and everyone else in the bar) was there to watch the hockey game - I was looking forward to listening to the commentary while watching but was disappointed when they just played music throughout the game."

"Stopped in before a concert. Made reservations via Open Table, we were a bit early, escorted to the bar tender, ordered drinks, then were promptly seated at reservation time. Waitress was right over and popped in on us several times. Excellent service and food was yummy. Great location if you are waiting to go to ACC for an event."

"Good as always although I was quite disappointed that the decor had changed and that funky light made of the million bottles was gone. That was a cool feature. I was also disappointed to find that the bar does not stock Fireball. Otherwise we had a great time. Not the place to go if you want to actually be able to talk to anyone because the music is so loud. We had a hard time hearing the server and she us."

"Will be coming back! Had a reservation, and table was ready on time. Service was quick and polite. Overall, a great experience. We had nachos with chicken and chicken quesadilla, both highly recommended and perfect for sharing."

"Great variety of beers available. Reservations recommended since it gets quite busy, especially on game nights. Background noise is quite high so not the place for conversation."

"One of my favourite restaurants to visit whenever I'm in Toronto. The food is fantastic, the menu is simple and easy to choose from, and the service is very friendly. Has a great atmosphere especially if you are in town for a concert or sports event. It is a tad on the noisy side, but it's what to be expected at any Bar and Grill. Would recommend the Loose Moose to anyone in the area, and I look forward to returning again soon."

"Great place, but not for sports games. Every time our group had been there before the renovations, we were able to watch sports games (hockey in particular) with sound. When we asked for sound, our waiter said that the higher-ups prefer playlist music. Many people go there to watch the game. It was rather uninteresting without the sound."

"It was too loud where we were, and the service was just okay. Our food took over 45 minutes with hardly an apology and nothing done to compensate for thet fact that waiting for it made us late. We were one of the first tables sat with or order taken, but we watched other tables get served first. The seem to have forgotten on of the meals for our table. If it was just for a beer, maybe I'd be back or if I knew had no where else to be so I just deal with how late everything was. Not impressed."

"We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation as we were walking but they had held our table for us. We were grateful to have a table of our own and not have to sit at the long picnic table - that I'm sure is great for groups but when we were there, several small groups were sharing it. Our server was very friendly and quick. We both ordered the Rib Eye which was to come with vegetables and garlic potatoes. While the steak was a good size, it was very, very fatty. The vegetables were 1/2 a roasted tomato (actually a nice change), very underdone broccoli and an entire red onion (who eats an entire onion?). As for the potato, we each received 3 very small wedges of one. Strange to say the least."

"I've been a Moose fan ever since the downstairs was the moose. We used to come at least one night a week for the chicken fingers which were the best we'd ever had. Being that I work now down at Lakeshore I dont get up to the area much but we had a friends band play Friday night (Tamarak) and reserved upstairs for our dinner. I ordered the (boiled?) pork Quesadilla and my friend ordered the fish and chips. My Quesadilla was not very good, it was burned all along the edges and somewhat tasteless. My friend said her fish and chips had no flavour, I tried it and although its a HUGE portion it lacks taste. Perhaps its the breading not sure, but every thing just seemed bland. Surprising for us as the theme of the place is somewhat tex-mex."
