"This was our second trip to St John's MP, but this time there were 11 of us. The staff did an excellent job managing the chaos on a graduation night with several large parties in the restaurant, and the food was excellent."

"I was looking for a good restaurant to take my girlfriend for our anniversery. The meeting place went above and beyond what i expected. Our server, Miranda, was an absolute delight. The food was a little pricy for the amount, but it make up for it in atmosphere. I would definately recommend the meeting place."

"Fantastic, rich macaroni & cheese with chorizo, tempura vegetable included wild/spring onion like vegetable that's local to Tennessee. Very good selection of wines and good ones too by the glass (very nice Malbec from Argentina)."

"The beer and wine selections were outstanding. The service was right on time and our server was able to tell when we needed service and when we wanted time to ourselves. She was also very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The food, with the exception of the huckleberry creme brûlée was all excellent. The atmosphere was indecisive. I would not consider it a family friendly environment, nor particularly romantic. It seemed more fit for business men/women than a romantic outing. Maybe St. John's restaurant would be more of the romantic setting I would expect to go with this level of food and service. It may have seemed more romantic if every customer that came in was not walking past our table."

"Enjoyable mean and great food. Our table wasn't ready at the appointed time and service was a little slow but understandable as it was "local prom" night and many young couples were there. It was nice to see all the young folks dressed up for an evening out."

"We dined at St. John's Mtg Place twice within a few days of one another. Both experiences were excellent. The food was creative and delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. If I lived in Chattanooga I would definitely be a regular."

"Growing up in South Florida (the Sixth Burrow)I am accustom to the Best of every restaurant category. St. John's is literally one of only a handful of Chattanooga restaurants that meets the standards. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. The food is consistantly amazing and the atmosphere in the Mtg.Place is comfortable & Fun! Having an open kitchen negates the A/C, but never to discomfort. We love the local support and St. John's!"

"The Beef Tartar is fabulous! My favorite! We had the chicken and beef short rib! The chicken skin was perfectly crispy and the short rib was so tender! We were greeted at the door by name. The server was very attentive, so we didn't want for anything! I will definitely be back!!! Thank you!"

"Driving north from FL and decided to stay in Chattanooga. I read the reviews and decided this was the place for us. We're kind of food snobs, and the meal was perfect ! It was a comfortable place and we loved everything we ordered. Will stop again if we stay in Chattanooga again. A great blend of small plates, and unique food combinations. Was a perfect evening"

"Often noisy with conversation, this visit restaurant sparsely populated, due to weather, so seemed that music was turned up quite loud to compensate. Service has always been good on my visits, friendly, attentive, but not too much. Everyone happy with variety of dishes. Vegan was extremely happy, and that dish looked good enough to attract anyone to it. Personal Trifle for dessert was big hit all around. Cinnamon sorghum ice cream was fabulous, other flavors, not so much. Am not a fan of the fried foods seeming to be added in last few months, such as tempura-ed, but not all thar light for a tempura. Do love the seasonal veggies overall, though."

"Would recommend. The food and service was good. Our only complaint was that it was cold outside and everytime the door opened, a huge rush of frigid wind came in. They did not compensate by raising the thermostat and consequently it was cold. Most of the women kept their coats on and one even put her gloves on. Still, it was very nice."

"Absolutely excellent. One of the best in Chattanooga! The filet cannot be beaten. Our waitress provided perfect service and was very generous with a delicious bread as we waited for our food. A+++"

"A little bit more scaled-back than St. John's Restaurant, this is a great choice for lunch meetings or a romantic dinner that won't break the budget so much. Still quite a bit of finer fare to sample, and expertly prepared too. My only complaint was that their wasn't as much ambiance as I would have liked. The walls are tall and almost completely black. This is probably fine for business lunches, but for romantic dinners it felt a bit sparse. Obviously didn't hurt the experience enough to affect my ratings though. ;)"
