"Nice contemporary and welcoming environment. The menu selection is great and not overwhelming. Wanted to share a couple of plates and they delivered the meals already split --- what a perfect scenario for sharing a meal with a special individual. The taste, the wine, the service ---- all excellent. And they continue to perform at this level -- as i have been here on numerous occassions with similar results."

"I love eating here but it is only a special occasion place. It can get pricey. I would recommend North to my friends and family and often do. The manager who was on staff on Saturday night always has a smile on his face and I really believe that he loves his job."

"The food was good, although they just changed the menu and took the best dish off the menu. The selection of beverages was not great as far as non-alcoholic drinks. Tea was like water, and they tried to flavor one with raspberry which turned out horrible. The entree made up for beverage flaws though- it was delicious."

"We hadn't been to NoRTH in a long time and we won't take so long going back. Everything was perfect -- from the service to the food. Just delicious. "Found North on a trip to visit a son who was on a swing through Kansas City. The fresh pasta was fabulous. All three of us were very pleased. The food was great and the service was excellent. "We've been long time North lovers, however, the quality of the food has been subpar on our last few visits. Our Caesar Salad came with mixed greens and soggy croutons. My salmon was dry and overcooked.
The previous time we dined at North we ordered chicken wrapped in prosciutto. Both dishes were so salty they were unedibke. The manager kindly removed them from the check.
The greeters at North are always warm and welcoming. Our server was nice.
In the past, this was a favorite. Sadly, the food just isn't that good any more."

"My friends and I were talking/catching up, we ordered a bottle of wine for the table, the server was lax in serving our wine, offering bread. My pasta was tough and needed about a minute more. Manager said that's just the way fresh pasta was served. They offered to remake the dish but I was so hungry had to eat (big workout in the AM). My other freind felt the same way about her 'fresh' pasta, it was tough/undercooked. The friend who ordered the pesto dish loved her's we were sorry we didn't order that dish. We stayed about 2 hours talking and gave the server his 20% tip since we stayed so long. I have dined there before and everything was better."

"One of those restaurants that I go to whenever I'm in town. The food (especially the cavatelli) is excellent. Wednesdays are 1/2 off wine night (glass and/or bottle). Generally busy, so I would recommend making a reservation for any group size. I'm usually alone and sit at the bar and even that (i.e. the bar) sometimes is packed.
This last time was no exception for the food, but the service seemed a little disorganized. A salad for the table was brought out, but with no serving spoons, etc.
But that said, I'll be back."

"The Zuca Chips are a must if you have not tried them. We had great service and food.
Dispite the food and service the downfall was the seating. We made our reservations a good 8 days in advance; we were on time for our reservation. The table that we were given was close to the door entrance and every time the door opened there was a draft. Another disappointment with the seating was that the patrons waiting to be seated were standing (hovering) over our table and made the experience distracting. Dispite the food and service the downfall was the seating. We made our reservations a good 8 days in advance; we were on time for our reservation. The table that we were given was close to the door entrance and every time the door opened there was a draft. Another disappointment with the seating was that the patrons waiting to be seated were standing (hovering) over our table and made the experience distracting. I would like to suggest that the manager or general manager of the restaurant sit in that table on a busy Saturday evening."

"We tried the Zucca chip appetizers that we saw many diners liked. Maybe we got a bad batch, but they were quite greasy and overly salted. We also ordered the "bruschetta." At $10, it was one slice of not very good bread, not grilled or toasted in any way (bruschetta?), with a couple of pieces of asparagus and a slice of prosciutto. More positively, the shrimp/red sauce pasta entree was good and the nutella flourless chocolate cake was very good. The pasta with pesto was okay, but had too much olive oil. There is a good selection of wines by the glass. It is "energetic," which is fine if you are with a group, and maybe less so if you would like to converse over dinner. Overall, it was average. I doubt we will return."

"They tried to seat us the smallest table possible. Of course it was right next to a large crowd. An elderly couple were on the other side. His walker made it so that I could not even sit down. The hostess walked away with me standing there, despite seeing that I could not even pull out my chair to sit without moving the other patron's walker. We decided to leave that table and sit at the bar. Ha! So much for reservations."

"I love this place! One of my favorites. Food is always delicious, and we have consistently great service with a team approach. Interesting creative cocktail selections. The cheese and charcuterie platter is always wonderful. The tomato soup is always a great choice. Ant the Italian Mixed Greens salad is of large portion size and delectable. The sour cherry bread pudding is fantastic, and the homemade butterscotch and salted caramel pudding is phenomenal!"

"I really enjoy this place. It is a bit "packed" but even still, I really love it. I had the same waiter I had the last time I was there, which was about a week prior, and he was EXCELLENT again! I have enjoyed every wine I chosen here. I really love love love the potatoes. I was there this time for Restaurant Week, but had to add the potatoes to my order. I did enjoy my Restaurant Week selection quite a bit. Will, of course, be returning."

"The service was very good once we were finally seated. We had an 8:45 reservation and we weren't seated until 9:10. 25 minutes after my reservation time is unacceptable. The food was excellent. The braised beef ribs melted in my mouth. I seriously didn't even need my teeth to chew because the meat was so tender. The seared scallops were excellent as well. The chicken was very tender too. Desserts were excellent and we had a very good waiter at the table. Great Reisling wine as well."
