"We had reservations for 2 on a Friday night at 7:45. We were not seated until 8:25. There is no waiting area inside. Luckily it was nice outside so we could wait on the deck (our idea) after we looked like wall flowers standing next to the door. The food was delicious, but portions were VERY small. I think the scallop appetizer is one scallop sliced into 8 - 10 thin slices and the steak was probably about 6 ounces. I had 2 appetizers (entirely to myself) and an entree and could have easily eaten double that and I usually have a hard time finishing 1 shared appetizer and an entree.
Unless you are seated against the wall, the seating is very tight and uncomfortable as the tables are annoyingly close together."

"restaurant is not an eye-catching building, it looked nothing outside but a yellow wall with a small outdoor deck. Small menu, high almost unaffordable price, unadvertised happy 1 hour from 5-6pm. service was good because we were the only table at that hour. Will I go back? not until there is no other restaurant in town."

"One of the very best Jackson Hole has to offer. Some of the dishes are almost a little too small and she-she la-la, but ok by this Venice Beach couple."

"Looks good decor inside but not outside, food is okay but overpriced. we spent over $80 two ppl with tiny appetizer, a cheesebuger $15 and a river trout $24...Happy hour is hidden no mention about it unless asking. Don't recommend unless you want a romantic little price food."

"We went to the Kitchen for my husbands 50th while visiting Jackson Hole. They compted us an inexpensive champaign , which was thoughtful . The food was fantastic. The menu has a lot of fresh fish and wild game. The restaurant is on the small size with a modern interior."

"The food was really superb. The starter of thin slices of calamari steak with a vinagarette and pepper was to dies for. It tasted like the highest quality abalone. The simple salad was complex and delightful. The crispy shrimp was a rock start. Our entrees of rare tuna and swordfish were unbelievably free (int a mountain resort) and the side complements were excellent. Give this place five stars. We will be back to try many ther great looking dishes we observed other guests had ordered. Our hats are off to Kevin for suggesting this gem."

"Interesting variety of asian fusion dishes...uniquely prepared sashimi/sushi dishes. Small dishes as well as entrees. Unique ambiance, contemporary, open/casual. Wait staff was attentive."

"The Kitchen has a unique interior which gives it an unusual vibe. The menu is broad, but not so daunting to decide what to have for dinner. We had the grilled Calamari and Yellow Fin Tuna appetizers. Very light which allowed plenty of room for the entrée. The Swordfish was very good (slightly overcooked, though) and my friend had the Ahi Tuna - it was superb. The well drinks were very good. My favorite was the Valentyme Gimlet. I had one other, Oak Barrel – I believe, it was good, a bit tart, something to get you outside the same ole concoctions. During dinner, we had a smooth Red - 2010 Moillard Côtes du Rhône Les Violettes. We will definitely be back!"

"This place is funky, but in a good way. If you are looking to get something other than typical Western fare (steaks & wild game), this is a good alternative. The food is more on the Contemporary American end of the spectrum, but remains individualistic in character. The NZ Red Deer is worth the price of admission alone (as well as the calamari)."

"My friend and I had dinner here, at the Osteria, and at the Garage. This was the best of the three. Same owners as Osteria apparently. The deer was amazing. Can't go wrong."

"Best restaurant I've been to in a long time!!!!! Kevin looked after us without fault! The house carbonated cocktail were to die for, as we're the sashimi appetizers and main meals!! To finish of an amazing meal- dessert! Oatmeal chip pie.... Words can't describe this delicious combo!! I wish I could eat here every night!"

"I ate at the kitchen after 3 dinners in Teton Village. I only had one meal in the town of Jackson and wanted to make it a good one - kitchen did not disappoint. This place is off the busy square but still close to downtown. Feel of the restaurant is upscale, yet very cosy. Had the Red Deer signature dish which was incredible. My brother had the goat which was also very tasty. Did some of the sushi apps and fish was very fresh and well prepared. Wine list was a little weak but food was so incredible I didn't care."

"Lovely restaurant with very interesting food: the red deer and the longfin tuna were close to perfect. The restaurant saw that we were celebrating Barrys birthday and the dessert came with a candle, a lovely end to a delicious dinner
PS the potato chip pie for dessert was a surprisingly tasty dessert!"

"Food and service were generally good. I had the goat which was not very tender and the spice rub didn't do much for it. My guest had the tuna sirloin which a little cold but the taste was outstanding. We will go back, but we will order different things next time."

"Great last night dinner at the Kitchen. Nice modern warm feel but relaxed ambience. Menu good for sushi and fish. We had yellowtail tuna and tempura eel, both immaculately cooked, followed by pork and tuna for the main, again both beautifully cooked and presented. A bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay accompanied the food wonderfully. A delicious and stylish end to a fab ski holiday"

"Th yellowfin starter and special shrimp were excellent. The flank steak was outstanding. Salmon with red lentils would only get a good. Overall it was excellent, they remembered our son's 16th birthday with a special dessert. Fabulous."

"The one thing that was uncomfortable about my dining experience is that our reservation was at 5:30pm but we decided to come 10 minutes early and have a drink. It is freezing outside, and as my friend and I are walking up to the Kitchen door, a server races over and LOCKS the door as I am about to try and open it. At first we thought he was UNLOCKING the door because he saw us coming. Once we realized he locked it 3 seconds before I could open it, it was very uncomfortable to then just stand there and walk in 10 minutes later.
Why not let us have a seat at the bar? Or at least say something to us?
It was really wierd."
