Our guests remark that dining at the Peacock is more like dining at a friend's home than a typical restaurant. You will probably be welcomed by one of the owners, Shelby or Ron, offered an opportunity to start your experience with a cocktail or glass of wine in our lounge or, if you prefer, be seated upon arrival. Executive Chef Douglas Potts brings a classical flair to the freshest local ingredients since he was raised on the Eastern Shore. "This restaurant was given a great review in the Annapolis Magazine May issue. So my husband and I wanted to try it. It was a 54 mile drive and well worth the trip to the Eastern Shore. It would be a great stop for those coming or going to Ocean City. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed all the food except the appitizer. I believe the oysters were under cooked. The entrees were wonderful and extremly well prepared. The presentation was great. The desserts were fantastic to OK. The cream burlee was average the bread pudding was out of this world. Don't miss it if you have the chance to try it.
The service was superb from both the server and owners."

"The menu was surprisingly limited tho the food was very good. Foodies like to know all the components of a dish but in the absence of printed menus, the wait staff gave very abbreviated descriptions. The owner/sommalier was most helpful and knowledgeable. Wine suggestions superb. We'd definitely try it again."

"We ate at the Peacock Restaurant & Lounge the first night of our stay at the Inn, and it was a perfect meal... from the expertly-made Manhattan (Thank you, Ron!) to the delicious oysters with beet mignonette & sea salt to the succulent steak entree – everything was top notch. Ron, the owner, is the consummate host... and helped to make our evening a special one. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Easton/St. Michaels/Eastern Shore area."

"Food and service were good; you're made to feel like a very welcomed guest. Restaurant week menu was nice but we were surprised that the full menu wasn't also offered. We don't like large portions, but the portion sizes for all 3 courses seemed a little smaller than usual. Two tiny oysters for my starter, six bites of chicken for an entree, and less than a 1/4 cup of ice cream with similar size of whipped cream. I came home still hungry..."

"A meat eater'll be very pleased--filet and rack of lamb done to perfection. However, our vegetarian called ahead twice to ensure the chef could provide her an option, she received multiple appetizer size portions of salads. Obviously displeased ... the chef just couldn't produce a plate for her that was substantial enuf for her to leave dinner satisfied.
Have stayed at many B&B and boutique hotels with breakfasts to die for ... not here! Dull, unappetizing ... even the lattes were simply from a pod coffee pot and lukewarm!
Told there was an excluisve coffee bar, snacks and soft drinks/water ... breakfast bars, no water/sodas and the famous pod coffee maker w/o cream/milk. Thank goodness The Capital had all of this at half price!!"

"The ambiance here is wonderful, the owners paid spectacular attention to detail when refurbishing this home! Every aspect of the home are absolutely beautiful and inviting! The dining experience was fabulous. Greetings at the door by the proprietor and a server, were the start of a relaxing evening. Our service was fantastic. From the two servers who made the rounds at the table to the proprietor who made rounds throughout the meal. Now for you foodies out there....the absolutely best part was the meal itself! Hats off to the chef! His creations were succulent and exquisite, a true gift to the palate. A wonderful evening...we will be back!"
