Francesca’s on 95th opened its doors to guests in April of 2009 and joins the Francesca’s family of restaurants as the 18th addition to the family. This south-suburban Chicago outpost offers guests “simple rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices”; a winning recipe for Francesca’s since 1992. Their menu features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. An eclectic wine list and one-of-a-kind martini’s make the perfect accompaniment to an outstanding dining experience.

"Food was excellent. Server was superior. We required a Gluten free menu and the hosts had it availiable when we arrived. The server explained every dish and made sure that the person that needed gleten free was aware of every item on the menu. Overall everything was perfect. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"Francesca's could be so much better if they would pay attention to the menu and quality of the food. No beef (other than veal chops) and only two seafood selections. Lots and lots of pasta.
The white tablecloths and overall ambience is fine, even given the hardwood floors which make the room unfriendly for conversation.
The wine list is ample, although $9.00 for a glass of house Chianti is right up there with the competition.
We celebrated my birthday of an uncrowded Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Our pasta entrees arrived in less than 10 minutes, making me wonder if they came right out of a microwave.
My vegetarian ravioli was OK, but not outstanding. My wife's gnocchi was dry and pasty, and according to her tastes, 'rather bad'.

"This is the second time we have been to Francesca's on 95th. We have gone with friends we haven't seen for a long time. We were able to enjoy conversation over drinks and appetizers and we didn't have to yell to be heard. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. He knew the specials and the menu very well. Our dinners were served promptly and Oscar(our waiter) came back to ask if everything was ok. We will definitely be back."

"Food was good, ambiance was not up to their typical standards. The price of the drinks will be a deterrent to dine at this restaurant again. A cocktail made with Ri (rye) whiskey was $13.75, Ketel One was over $9.00. Binny's sells Ri for $39.99, which is higher than most Rye, but the per drink price was ridiculous. This is a south suburban restaurant, not downtown Chicago."

"I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance but we still had to wait 10 minutes before we were seated. The fire alarm went off right after we received our appetizer and it was on for approx. 20 minutes. The fire department had to come turn it off. The employees at the restaurant did not give the guests notice if they should evacuate or if it was a false alarm. Very unprofessional and evident that the staff was not trained properly. After all of that we didn't get any discount- just a quick "I'm sorry and thanks for coming". So we even felt rushed to leave. Definitely not a good night."

"Outstanding gluten free options. Mussels were flavored correctly. Bread was warm. Their house olive oil is something you need to try. Pasta was cooked well and seasoned properly. Maybe a little salty, but I don't use a lot of salt as a rule. Server was very friendly and accommodating. Great experience!"

"Warm welcome greets you at the door and servers continue the hospitality. Pasta and salad portions are generous, suitable for sharing. Our server was helpful in making selections and the chef accommodates allergies and sensitivities without a fuss. Gluten free pasta dish tastes like the real thing! Our table of five was very happy with the food quality and the service. Good range of wines from which to choose. We came from Toronto and took my mom there for her birthday - she loved it!"

"I had a late reservation at 10 pm. The kitchen closes at 10 so I'm glad I made it a little early but I did get a call from the restaurant letting me know that they would wait but don't be late which was good. Servers were ready to get off so I wouldn't recommend making a late reservation because service will not be great. Always had a great experience before so I will make sure not to use the late reservations."
