"The staff at 8-Twelve is welcoming, friendly, and attentive to the customers. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and she noticed our group was celebrating a special occasion and provided a dessert on the house for our special guest. Food was really great and I would definitely go back again."

"The menu here has some unique ingredients on items such as chicken, salmon, and beef. If you like trying different sauces, seasongs, cheese flavorings, etc., this restaurant is good for you. If you enjoy more "traditional" food, the menu may be restrictive for you although my husband enjoyed his caesar salad with chicken. The tater tot appetizer is very tasty. I had the duck breast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Brawny Burger is excellent and also the mac and cheese."

"The waiter was knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. The food concept (farm to table) is both admirable and healthy. My wife was pleased with the Salmon Benedict. I ordered the Salmon Sandwich. I was thinking this would be an inch thick slab of salmon on a nice bun. Maybe I didn't read the menu closely: it was a thin slice of salmon on cream cheese on toast. The side salad was extremely fresh and had an excellent dressing. I'll have a hamburger or a steak next time I'm there. Plus, the Brewers game was on and Number 8 had an O for."

"I decided to treat my family to a Mother's Day brunch. I liked the diverse options for the 8 Twelve specialty menu, and decided to make my reservation. Upon arrival, we stopped by the bar for one of their drink specials, which were unique and quite tasty. Upon being seated, we decided to try something different and selected the Cheddar and Gouda tator tots. They were a nice start to the meal. Our server recommended the 8 oz filet which half the table chose to try. They could not stop raving about the taste and how well it went with the sides they were able to select. I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Amish Chicken. The breading was light and tasty and the tomato macaroni and cheese was a delicacy that I haven't tasted before. A++"

"A few things I would change if it were my restaurant.
1. More than two seasonal bears on draft.
2. When you are escorted in to the main dining area, you immediately come upon a waiter station that is busy with a lot of people.
3. The manager on duty did a lot of walking around, but didn't seem to do much. Not once did he smile like he was enjoying himself.
4. Appetizers and entrees should feature a little more "pub food".
5. Not meant to be a sports bar but when the owners are two professional ball players, at least the bar area could reflect that."

"Our group of six enjoyed a great evening at 8 -twelve. All of us raved about our meals. The scallops were the best I've ever had. They melted in my mouth. Leo, our server, was very engaging and thoroughly explained the menu. Nice to know 8-twelve uses local growers. One in our group couldn't decide what to order among three choices and asked for his recommendation. Rather than tell her, he surprised her with his choice. She loved his choice: the pork chops. The shrimp pasta, prime rib (a Saturday special) and NY sirloin were also outstanding. We all said we'd definitely come back."

"It was so nice that you had the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN" on all the menus. I posted that menu on facebook and everyone that seen it thought it was the greatest thing. Thought when we got there it was just going to be the same waitstaff coming and singing but this was more memorable. We actually framed the menu and put it on the wall in Kevin's mancave.

"Well our experience at 8-Twelve was ok! Our server Amy was FANTASTIC:)!! The food just seemed very mediocre at best! I expected it to be outstanding! Guess I should have had a burger or a steak! The ambiance I thought was very nice! We will probably not return:( I expected a pot pie that would have hunks of chicken in a unsalty gravy with veggies and not mushrooms(I like them but not in this dish) with crust througout!! Just a little disappointed with my meal!!"

"Went for a birthday, didn't get any special birthday treatment but instead the server forget to put in our food order, making us wait an extra hour for our meals. Then, after having taken the 3-year-olds order first, brought out their meal last on a steaming hot plate.
To compensate for the hour wait, claiming they were "backed up" in the kitchen (everyone around us had dined and left by the time they approached us with this claim, noting a zero person wait at the host stand), we were given dessert on the house, which is fine but they didn't recognize the birthday at our table which had been told to them three times.
Food is overpriced and is presented well but tastes just okay.As a fine dining server myself, I was less than satisfied."

"We went to 8-Twelve with another couple to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. The overal ambience of the restaurant was nice, highlighting the farm seemed odd. Our waitressess seemed high strung and spoke extremely fast. The crab cakes came to the table cold. They asked if they were supposed to be cold and nope, they weren't. They were issued a new order right away. The tator tots we ordered were mushy and tasteless. Noneless we remained optimistic. When our meals arrived we were a bit surprised at the size of the surf and turf compared to the price. We joked they sent out another round of appetizers as an apology. No such luck. One out of the 4 meals ordered was reasonably priced. We all agreed we would not be back."

"Had a group of 8 their for a business dinner, all of us travel a lot and eat in many different types of restaurants so most restaurants seem pretty much the same. However the group to a person all said the various entrees were exceptionally good to the best they have had of that particular selection. Steaks, Duck, Ocean Trout all tops. Service was attentive and prompt and prices moderate for the quality. Definitely a return trip in order."

"Our visit to the 8-Twelve was a great dining experience. The atmosphere was pleasant although the noise level got quite loud as the restaurant filled to near capacity. The menu selection was good and the food was well prepared and appealing. Leo, our waiter did a superb job of explaining our options and highlighting the advantages of the 8-Twelve philosophy. Overall a great experience that I would definitely take advantage of in the future."

"This was our first time to the restaurant and we had a group of 6 for dinner for a birthday party. Our server, Alex, was OUTSTANDING! He had an extensive knowledge of the food and wine and made all of the options sound irresistible. He was attentive to our table and we had to chase him down to ask for anything. The food was AMAZING! From the appetizers to entrees to dessert, hands down an incredible experience. We will not hesitate to return for another visit. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one!"

"I noted in my reservation that we were celebrating my father's birthday. They surprised us with a special menu that had "Happy Birthday Jerry!" on the bottom of the page. THey also did a special dessert for him.
Server was great at explaining that they try to use local suppliers as much as possible and knew quite a bit about several of them."

"Had made a special request for seating, and they made sure to honor my request. We were with people from out of state, and when one of the people in our party ordered a drink that the waitress wasn't sure of, she found a manager. The manager came over to make sure the ingredients were correct, then came back to shake it and serve it at the table. That was really a nice touch. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable. The food was great. Steaks done perfectly, and the special fish dish was very good too. We will be sure to go back. Great overall experience!"

"The team at 8-Twelve were a hit this past week. We had a large business group, and everyone truly enjoyed their meal. The waitress really knew her stuff and made quite a few recommendations that some in the group went with. Appetizers were quick to come out, and our meal soon followed with jsut enough time in between. Will definitely continue to come back to this impressionable place!"

"Service was good, but we were very disappointed in the "Prime Choice" steaks. First of all the 45+ minute wait for out main course was a little much, luckily we were entertaining an out of town business rep. and was having good conversation that passed the time. Two of us had NY Strip's and although the flaver and wellness was nice, the steaks were quite dry. I chose the truffle mashed potatoes and roasted mushrooms as my sides and the potatoes were skinned over as was the sauce the mushrooms were in. I felt for these reasons it was below par, especially for the price. The atmosphere was nice but reminded me of the old place Charro. I am in no hurry to go back."

"We initially chose the restaurant because of the sports connection. Our waiter gave a great intro, explaining the "farm to table" concept, and we really appreciated that. The food was wonderful, but expensive, especially given the location in a strip mall and the sports bar concept that we thought we were going in to. The bar is "sporty," the restaurant is more on the upscale side, especially when presented with the $150.00 bill at the end of the meal (4 entrees, 3 drinks, 1 dessert, 1 salad, 1 soup)."

"We thought the food was over priced and not that special. Several of us had food that was more cool than warm/hot. It was extremely noisy that limited our ability to chat through dinner. It will be a long time before we return.
Also, I made reservations on Thursday. On Friday I received an email confirming we were coming and on Sat. I received a phone call confirming our reservations. I find that bordering on harassment and totally unnecessary. An email or phone call is tolerable but both is ridiculous."
