"I'd say for all the steak houses in this price range I've been to, this one was the most disappointing. The quality of the beef just wasn't there. Hard to describe but it just didn't bust with flavor the way I've come to expect when I splurge for a steakhouse visit like this."

"Another great time at Daniels, as always the service was outstanding. Prime rib was a little past medium rare, The waitress was in agreement. Even being overcooked it still had great flavor! Our waitress didnt charge us for our appetizers because of the overdone meat. Thank you!"

"This was our first visit to this particular Daniel's location. It was absolutely marvelous. The Service was terrific. Our waiter was knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The view was beautiful over Lake Union. We even had sunshine. The food was exactly what you would expect from Daniel's. Everything not only placed to catch the eye and nose, but perfectly cooked in every sense of that word."

"Excellent service through 3/4 of meal. Maybe out of wanting to leave you alone, everyone disappears after dessert/coffee served or maybe they get busy helping other tables.
On two visits, I've had to find someone to get check, only to wait longer. Hoping to find it different next visit.

"I did not like the table I got. I am a member of the Epicurean Club and mentioned this, but to no avail. I bought a pretty pricey bottle of wine which had a 2009 Vintage on the menu, but they brought a 2010. My steak was overdone, my wife's not done enough. But, with all of this I will say it is a good place, nice servers, and they did pick up our dessert, which is always nice but we don't eat dessert. I wish when a restaurant messes up, they paid for something you have actually ordered, not something "more!""

"It's always a treat to return to this restaurant, even though it's some distance from home. Great staff, wonderful menu, and superb presentation are hallmarks of Daniel's at Lake Union. Parking's never a problem here, and the setting, nestled on the shore of Lake Union, presents a perfect background for a great dining experience. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. It is a restaurant by which I gauge others in its class."

"I have dined at Daniel's on many occasions, and have always loved the service and the food. But on my recent visit I was celebrating an employee's 25th anniversary with a party of 10 people. It seemed that the waitress could not handle that many people. She was not real attentive and those of us that had soda had to wait and ask for refills but the one person that had coffee seemed to get refills without having to ask. The waitress would dissapear without checking in. Maybe she had too many other tables to take care of, not sure. But I was not impressed since we spent quite a bit of money. I will say the food was very good as always."

"We had a nice window table as requested, and the view over the yachts and float planes coming in and out was lovely. Our waiter was very friendly, but disappointingly absent for quite some time when we were ready to order. We had the French onion soup to start which was good, although the cheesy crouton was verging on being burnt (I wouldn't have served it that black at home). My spinach and pecan salad was excellent, and my dining companion enjoyed her prawn cocktail. The main disappointment was the glass of chardonnay I ordered. Only two by the glass are listed so I asked for whichever was the most oaky. The wine was good, however when it came time to pay it appeared to be $20 - significantly more than either on the list."

"Richard was our server, and I wish I could take him home with me as he was funny, polite, and interacted with us as if we'd been friends for awhile... made it a very fun part of the evening. From the moment we walked thru the doors until we left, we felt welcome, and were made to feel comfortable in a very formal setting. When we first arrived, we were thanked for calling ahead telling them we'd be a little late. When they found out it was our first visit, they showed us around a little, and took us to the meat case and gave a little history. I don't usually eat at an expensive restaurant, because my budget doesn't allow it, but the next time I have a very, VERY special occasion, as this was, this will be on my top 5!! Thank you!"

"This place was awesome. Our original server had to go home early due to not feeling well and was replaced by a "trainee" server named Kermit. Make no mistake, Kermit needed no training. He was one of the best servers I have encountered at a nice restaurant. Very polite, knowledgeable, and patient. If I go back to this Daniels Broiler, then I would request Kermit to be my server."

"As far as steak houses go it's right up there with Ruth's Chris maybe better. The prime rib was excellent and my wife had the sirloin. She did sent it back to have to cooked more well done but she's picky; they could've served mine still breathing would've been fine. Service was great definitely will brag about that and sure we'll come back someday. The view alone was worth it. You sure get what you pay for @ this place."

"I have been to Daniel's a few times before and it is always a fabulous experience. First, our waiter, Tim, asked how I was....by my name. It made me feel like everyone knew me and I felt very comfortable. He also knew we took a cab to the restaurant so when we were getting ready to leave, he mentioned before we even had to ask that he could call for a cab. We were well taken care of. My boyfriend had their pork chop. Cooked perfectly med-rare +. And I had the melt-in-your-mouth prime rib. Their fresh strawberry puree lemon drop was to die for also!!!! It was such a beautiful day and obviously it's THE place to eat out since I was sitting across from Edgar Martinez!!!"

"I had Ribeye steak and my wife had fillet mignon, both cooked to medium. Both steaks were chewier than ones I have eaten at other places. I expected it to be more tendor for a prime cut. Baked potatoe was very good."

"I've lived in this town for over 35 years and somehow had not made it to any of the daniel's. I think the Daniel's at Lake Union is a great place to enjoy and appreciate Seattle's dining. For me Daniel's says "Seattle.""

"Way over priced 200.00 for two people baked potatoes were like rubber nuked and kept warm maybe? Steaks had a marinade or sauce that was not appealing or asked if it was wanted even. Had reservations but sat at right at the bar entrance to wait and were seated at probably one of the smallest tables they had. At least I can say been there done that now. First time I have ever had "buyers remorse" over a dinner."
