Emeril's Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem
In the casual & comfortable setting of the American steakhouse, the warm design evokes the timeless craftsmanship of American industry– bronze metal ribboned screens outline the entrance, earth tone colors of leather & beige mohair furnishings contrast with the restaurant’s transparent reflective surfaces & circular crystal pendant light fixtures. The chef’s food bar has a leather panel front & hand finished white-washed oak millwork, & overlooks the open-action kitchen. Two curved wine cellars with polished steel wine racks separate the private dining areas from the rest of the space, & are encircled with a splash of red on the custom carpets. The restaurant’s combination of craftsmanship & elegance is perfectly reflected in the original artwork by local artist Michael Kessler, who achieves his effect with layer upon layer of acrylic paint on wood panel & relies on natural gesture to create his organic forms.

"We had never been to an Emeril restaurant before. This was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent. The servers and supervising staff gave us constant attention. The filet mignon and rack of lamb were cooked to perfection. The side dishes were great and big enough to share. Drinks were very flavorful, with a large list of spirits and wines. Desserts, which we barely saved room for were fabulous- we had the creme brulee and vanilla bombe.
The prices were reasonable for an upscale steakhouse. We really did not expect such a terrific dining experience in the casino."

"We went to Emeril's to celebrate my son's graduation from Lehigh, my birthday and an early Father's Day. The food was excellent - the carpaccio was phenomenal! The steaks were superb. Everything tasted wonderful.
However, the service really was lacking. It should be a no brainer to have your water glass refilled at this level of restaurant. I could understand if they restaurant was full - but it wasn't. There was very little attention paid to our table. Our bill was close to $500 and I really had a hard time giving the 20% tip - but I did.
Saying this I would recommend this restaurant for the food only to others - if you don't mind sketchy service. I can only speak for the wait staff we had not for anyone else."

"Much better this time. The food is always good. This time it was great - I had the tuna medium and doubled up on the king crab legs. My wife had the rib eye
And it was almost as if the management saw and responded to my last review which was unhappy with the reception desk and the time it took to be served.
This time we were greeted with a smile and we were seated very promptly. The services was very good and the food came in a reasonable amount of time.."

"We have eaten at Emeril's Chop House at least 10 times since it opened and it seems to be slowly going down hill. Our last experience was the most disappointing. We has to ask multiple times for bread, I worked in the restaurant industry as a server while in college and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was unusual. The most disappointing thing was not that my steak that was supposed to be Medium Rare came out Well Done, mistakes happen but it is how they are handled that makes the difference. Not only did it take a long time for the replacement ( the place was only 60% full) but they did not offer to comp us dessert or our drinks, etc...Even my local Applebee's will throw in a free dessert. Just expected more for the $"

"My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Emeril"s. the waitstaff is professional and knowelable about the menu, they worked in teams ( not a fan). The price point of the wine list was on the expensive side. Average bottle of wine cost $80. For appetizers we choice the calamari and the signiture BBQ shrimp both we're fabulous. For entrees I had the scallops which were seared to perfection. My husband choice the veal chop which milk fed and was outstanding. Would recommend this for a special occasion restaurant !"

"Despite a reservation made many days prior and numerous open tables(at least half the tables were unoccupied), we were seated right next to the kitchen and were moved only after complaining. One of our group (of 3) asked for her 2 appetizers to be served as her dinner with the other 2 diners' meals yet one was brought out as an appetizer prior to the meal. The medium well steak was bloody, the cauliflower side dish was incredibly salty way beyond flavoring, and the scallop entree was sparse to say the least. They took the bread basket away without offering a refill. The only thing they were generous with was the water. At $135 for 2 meals and 2 appetizers it was a very poor value with food quality well below any reasonable expectation."

"So happy we had dinner at Emeril's Chophouse at The Sands Casino in Bethlehem. The service was top notch and we never wanted for anything. The fried calamari appetizer was tender and not greasy. The bourbon sweet potatoes were exceptionally creamy and buttery. I loved the pan seared scallops and risotto. If I have one minor complaint, it is that the risotto could have been a tad less dry. It had wonderful flavor but could have been a little looser on the plate and not quite so dry, BUT, I ate it all and it was a good compliment to the scallops. I'm still thinking about how good the banana cream pie (I call it banana cream cake) was. I wish there was an Emeril's that was closer to my house."

"Dining at Emerald's is an experience for all. The staff makes you feel like you are the only ones that matter. It is a comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. You would never know you were dining in a casino.
The Beef Tip Risotto appetizer just melted in your mouth, as did the Creekstone Filet Mignon.
Although the prices seems high, the food and experience our worth it!"

"We had an 8:15 PM reservation. The receptionist was unfriendly ( it wasn't the first time we had a bad experience at the front desk).

"Seated right by the entrance to the kitchen, so it was very noisy. Initial waitress Michelle was cordial, got our drinks and brought out the salmon/tuna tartare which was "OK" not very flavorful, but moist and arrived in about 10 minutes. Blue Cheese wedge salad came next and was very tasty. Pork Chop, Sirloin, and Tuna steak took over 30 minutes to arrive after order. Tuna steak was slightly overcooked, Pork Chop came in a Barbarian size -way too much meat. Steak was overcooked and too big along with not being a very good cut. Service for refills of drinks consisted of waving down "replacement servers"and my water glass was never refilled. Cauliflower side was soggy, mushrooms & onion & sweet potato fries were OK. A disappointment!"

"We were greeted by our servers with a "Happy anniversary!". From then on we were cared for with sterling service and served spectacular food. Dinner was finished with a complemtary dessert plate of chocolate covered strawberries and off the menu decaf cappuccinos. It was a wonderful start to a lovely anniversary celebration."

"We had a wonderful meal and time, Everything wouldv'e been perfect had one of the managers not lied to us, I forgot my ID and my husband and I tried to order a wine bottle back to the room, instead of the waitress or manager just explaining that because I left my ID in my room we couldnt order a bottle, they lied and made up some excuse about how many bottles could be purchased a night, it was when security walked us back out of the casino and said, "sorry about that wine, but no ID and we cant serve you", completely valid, I would have gone back to the room and brought my ID back if someone had just explained but blunting lying and then having security tell us the real reason we couldnt order it was very disappointing."

"Amazing Calamari app-the best we've ever had! The Filet was cooked to a perfect temp and sliced like butter. The scallops were tender and cooked perfectly. Great service with great advice and personable servers. Server recommended splitting he wedge as it was built for 2. Acoustics were a bit on the loud side but didn't distract from catching up with my beautiful wife on our Anniversary. Worth the expense A+++"

"My husband and I took our two adult children to the casino and wanted to have a nice dinner. We chose emerils chop house because of the wonderful menue. We chose a variety of entres from steak,chicken,pork and seafood. No one was disappointed they were all wonderful. The salads and sides were equally delicious. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was quiet do you never felt like you were in the middle if a casino."

"I've been an Emeril fan for years and chose Emeril's Chophouse to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends. We all got a variety of dishes and shared across the table. I have to say the bacon rasher was amazing! We also enjoyed the barbecue shrimp and the crawfish creole sauce over the filet. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. I will always remember Emeril's Chophouse and will definitely be back. It exceeded my expectations!"

"We love to dine out and then have some 'play time' so the location of the Chop House inside a casino fits our style.However, the wait staff was not very attentive, even though the restaurant was not filled. It took us way too long to meet our main server and then too long before our wine selection was delivered and so on through the evening. On a posiitve, we were celebrating our anniversary and the surprise tray of chocolate covered strawberries was great!"

"The food was great, although priced at a serious premium. Steaks, lobster, corn chowder were all GREAT. Caesar salad was not impressive, kind of bland, not a lot of dressing. Overall a great meal. Service was ok, but not out of this world. Would expect out of this world service based on price."

"Wife & I celebrated our Birthday at Sand's Casino gambling,dinner and Paul Anka show. Dinner/service was outstanding from beginning to end. Dinner was outstanding we both had the filet mignon with cream spinach and sweet potatoes & beet salad. Couldn't of asked for a better dinner."

"My husband, daughter, sister, and myself went for dinner Wed. May 15, to Emeril's Steak House. The food was good, order came in a timely amount of time. We then ordered desserts, and about 20 minutes later, I flagged down a supervisor, and asked where the desserts were. We were told there was a production problem??? The service was poor, to say the least. Had to actually ask for our water glasses to be refilled!! At the prices the restaurant charges for food, I believe the service should be superior!!!"

"We came out with our 15 and 16 year old children for a belated mother's day dinner. The food was amazing from appetizer to dessert. This was the second time my husband and I have eaten at Emeril's and the first time for the kids. Absolutely fabulous! And our waitress, Melissa, was fantastic. She was attentive and answered all of our questions. My teenagers said if we go back, they want to sit in Melissa's section!"
