Welcome to Imlee (“Tamarind” in Hindi). We offer a large variety of authentic, mainly North-Indian cuisine and have been serving a taste of India in the heart of our Pinecrest neighborhood since 2003. Our food's consistently rated excellent on the Zagat survey and listed as one of the top Indian restaurants in Florida. Our menu includes a lot of vegetarian options as well as a wide variety of chicken, lamb and seafood dishes. We offer an extensive wine and beer list that's available for online viewing as well. "I was impressed, food was yummy, tons of flavor. We were first served this flat bread with 3 great sauces to start. The Entrees were nice portions and just very good. I've had Indian food in London and this is just as good. The place is small which is good and bad, but nice and cozy."

"We've visited this restaurant several times and we love the food. My husband is British and has especially enjoyed finding authentic Indian cuisine close to our home as he had to go a long time without it. The portions are large, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is comfortable. They customize the spiciness of the dishes and they do offer papadam to munch on while you wait. Service is slow. Generally two waiters on staff for 10-12 tables, but a steady stream of take-out customers seems to contribute to the delays.
Overall we like it and will go back -- we recommend, but be prepared for a little bit of a drawn-out dining experience."

"The food is always amazing, the service on the other hand is not so much. The waitress was terrible. The restaurant is relatively small but it gets busy on the weekends, everyone recommends making reservations. Why the restaurant won't hire more staff for the weekend is beyond me. The waitress was rude and short while taking our orders, we saw her maybe three times throughout the entire dining experience. She would constantly pass by the table but not acknowledge us. When we finally got her attention to bring us our check, she never did and we had to end up asking the amazing busser for it. That 'amazing' wasn't sarcastic, he was the only person giving good customer service in the entire restaurant."

"This place is great! The food is amazing. We've been here many times and the services is always excellent. This time they sat us on a corner table so we had a hard time getting the attention of the waiter but they were pretty busy.

"An outstanding dining experience. Especially delightful finding a live sitar player with beautifully intergrated background music on a recent sunday evening visit. IF you are an afficiando of Indian cuisine, you will be more than pleased...wide variety....spices of extraordinary texture....curries, lamb,chicken beef, and a mushroom dish par excellence.
If you are NOT an INDIAN cuisine afficianado.......let the knowledgable staff guide you.

"This was our first time at this restaurant. My daughter had a voucher and gave it to us as she hadn't been able to use it. Everything was great, except for our server's attitude as we walked in (we were the first customers at 5:30 p.m.)He was complaining about how many people had reserved this night and the night prior due to the vouchers (expiring soon.) Also, the manager was very upset with one of his employees and we could hear him disciplining the man. (The restaurant is very small, so everything can be heard.)However, the same server did give us very good recommendations for our meal. So, if you want very good Indian food and you don't mind attitude, give it a go."

"Third time visting Imlee and as always the food was excellent and so was the staff. It's a hole in the wall mostly visited by the locals but it is definitely worth the try. Don't be scared about spicy foods as they can tone it down as requested."

"We really enjoyed dinner at Imlee's, it was delicious. We tried the vegetable samosas and garlic naan as our appetizer, I had the chicken tiki masala and bf had lamb tiki masala. "The food was exceptional and much more reasonably priced than other Indian restaurants in the area because it comes with rice and papadoms. Other places charge for these items, which should be included. Our water glasses were always full, and the staff was friendly and pleasant. Our meal came out quickly, and everything was just delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend Imlee!"

"Dining at Imlee is not an everyday experience. It should be reserved for those special occasions or when you want something different than the usual fare you cook at home or some of the run-of-the-mill everyday places you visit to grab a bite to eat. My husband and I eat there once a month or every other month. On the evening of our recent visit, to my husband's surprise and delight, our waiter greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne and dessert which was a lovely gesture. Although we have our favorite dishes, we like to try something different each time we visit. We tried the vegetable samosas as our appetizer,and shared a fish dish and the Chicken Madras for our entree. Superb!"
