""A perfect dinner!" is how our out-of-town guests described dining at Pacific Rim. Too bad they live in Israel otherwise they would be regular customers. The sablefish, scallops, salmon and fettucini were all superb. And the avacado-based soup was just plain fun. Well done. The service was exceptional as well, though I wasn't sure if they were intimidated by us or just chose not to hover, which was good. Our guests particularly loved the quiet atmosphere that allowed unstrained conversation. My wife and look forward to our next time with great anticipation. We will even ttry to bring mom."

"I dined in with 3 other friends during Restaurant Week. The Quinoa-Crusted Scallop and the Pacific Rim Crabcakes was wonderful. But, the Asian-Braised Lamb Shank I ordered together with my friend's Miso-Teriyaki Salmon only tasted so so. It seems to be true that it would be a better experience to dine here not during Restaurant Week, aside from the quality and smaller portion of the food, the place was pretty packed and a bit too noisy."

"After all the talk in town about how wonderful the Pacific Rim is, the actual experience of visiting was disappointing. There is nothing wrong with the restaurant, per se, but it is overrated. Our wait person was outstanding, and the decor is a nice take off of modern asian themes. However, the food itself was nothing more than average. We tried a variety of appetizers including calamari--all good but not surprising or particularly standout items. For entrees we had the quinoa crusted scallops and the risotto. The scallops were slightly overcooked with the quinoa adding little to the dish. The risotto was slightly more delicious, but, again, nothing out of the ordinary. For the price in such a small town, one expects much more."

"The mood in the restaurant is laid back and positive. The servers seem to really enjoy working there and I enjoyed the interaction with the wait staff. The food was unique and tasty. Calamari, ribeye and scallops were great. The chili sauce with the ribeye was deceptively spicy. Lemonade had a bit of orange in it and I enjoyed it. Didn't have any dessert. The worst thing I can say is that it's not my favorite restaurant of all time. But it's on the list."

"The chairs are quite uncomfortable. Very hard to sit on literally just wood like a park bench. Not acceptable when paying the amount they charge. Also, the table spacing is a little crammed makes for table conversations to be heard from 360 degrees and people moving around bumping into you. "Food was great. We've been back many times since. The sablefish is really well done as is the noodle side dish that is served with it. I've been getting the Wasabi Filet on my last few visits. Always cooked perfectly I just wish it was seasoned better. I always have to ask for salt. Its called Wasabi Filet you would think it would have a punch to it however; it doesn't even taste seasoned. I do wish they had later kitchen hours!"

"We went to Pacific Rim for an Anniversary Dinner before going to the Ann Arbor Symphony orchestra. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, down to the texture and flavor of each dish, so she certainly helped us make up our minds (so many nice choices!) We started off with the calamari appetizer, which was probably the best I've had in Ann Arbor! I had the scallops as my entree(which were divine!)and my fiancee selected the chicken (which was also scrumptious)!
I will certainly plan any future special occasions that call for dinner at Pacific Rim!"

"We have been to many many restaurants and we love good seafood. This place was amazing. We told them that we were in a hurry when we arrived (to make our show on time) and they provided amazing service. NOTHING was rushed, but all was 'on time" and we left exactly when we needed to. "My boyfriend had been here before and loved every second of our visit. Unfortunately this time was a little, the food was still wonderful but we had some trouble with our wait staff and it seemed as if we not welcomed, but could have just been an off day. Would definitely recommend it!"

"Pacific Rim always deliver consistent quality and good portions. The food is fresh and well prepared. The chef would do well to refresh the menu periodically with other choices. The wait staff is courteous and eager to accomodate any dietary contratints. However, service in terms of timing can suffer during busy periods. Ambiance is calming and the eastern influence of design is apparent. Always a good choice for a business dinner if a side table is obtained."

"We love the Pacific rim and try to dine here as often as we can. I've never ordered a food that I did not enjoy. All of the dishes here have a wonderful mouth feel to them. The seafood is fabulous and so are the house cocktails."

"Really really delicious. Very expensive, but the food was worth it (especially if it's for a rare special occasion). Do NOT miss out on the warm chocolate cake--possibly the best I've ever had, and paired with the coconut ice cream and cherries--superb."

"A relaxed and cheerful setting, absolutely great food and attentive service; our group of four look forward to returning to Pacific Rim to try more of their entrees.
