"Growing up in Chicago, I had all but given up trying to find a great restaurant in Toledo. All the ones I have tried have left me wondering if there were any places I would return to. What a gem; as a amateur chef, I am very critical of food quality. They exceeded my expectations. The only complaint was that our server was not too attentive and it took and hour to get our dinners. It was Mother's Day and will I allow some leeway; but the food was fabulous and well worth the wait. I will return."

"We had a wonderful time at Mancy's Italian. Extensive wine and beer list, something to suit everyone. Beautifully decorated, comfortable but classy. Menu has a nice variety but not too lengthy and overwhelming. Our server was informative and attentive and our meals were wonderful. Definitely recommend to my friends and family."

"Our group of 9 was served quickly and efficiently. We were there for a pre-marathon pasta dinner and everyone was very pleased with their choice. The gluten-free pasta was appreciated by two people in our group. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone is in Toledo for the Glass City Marathon."

"We really enjoyed our visit here and loved the service and the food. We chose margaritas and pomegranate martinis rather than wine this time and they were both good, strong, though not inexpensive. Our meal started with the flatbread bruschetta, quite different from traditional bruschetta, but we liked it even better. I chose the chicken piccata with a della casa salad and my boyfriend had the Castellana pasta (with beef, cream, penne, pancetta)... we both loved our dishes and I had more than enough to take home for another meal. The only downside was the ice water. It had an undrinkable chemical taste and took away from the food's enjoyment. We didn't touch it after one sip."

"They say theres a first time for every thing and I hit my first time. My friend and I both ordered the same and it was inedible. We have been going to Mancy's Italian since it opened and look forward to doing so. Young Mancy who was "manager" that night has a lot to learn from his elders.
Our waitress was wonderful, didn't know what to do for us and we just sent both dinners back and wanted nothing but our check. She was very upset but we kept telling her it wasn't her fault.
I will go go back and try again, as I said it was the first time."

"This visit was my recommendation for a group of out of townersfrom Chicago. We had a wait time even with reservation. Waited at the bar, John (bartender) was great and wonderful cocktails. Unfortunately, our service in the restaurant was sub-par with Sara. For those from Chicago, it was very disappointing. She was civil but not truly helpful or informative. Those that ordered salmon and steak were pleased. The pasta portions were small and the black pepper fettuccine with lump crab and lemon sauce lacked any "lump" crab and tasted like a lemon was squirted all over the pasta. In the past, this restaurant had always been a first choice especially with out of town guests. Maybe it was later (8:15 reserve) and staff was ready to call it a nigh"

"I made reservations for Valentine's Day. I wasn't disappointed. The food and atmosphere was right on. Our server was fast, polite, extremely knowledgeable (which was great since I had never been there before), and nice. She walked me through the specials and offered the appetizers. I ordered a margherita pizza to start it out, and it was excellent. Well prepared and delicious. Then the food came. I order the Mahi-Mahi, and it didn't blow me away, but it was hot and cooked correctly. Overall an excellent time, almost certainly worth the money."

"We used Open Table for our reservations. Even though the restaurant was crowded and there was a wait at the door, we were seated at our reserved table right away. It was a good experience for our party celebrating a birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food and we all ordered something different."

"Our group had a wonderful experience. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu selections and was attententive to our every need. She checked back with us on a "regular" basis but was never too "bothersome."

"I have been a long time customer of Mancy's Italian. In fact it has been my favorite restaurant. Sadly our experience on February 1st was awful. The food was terrible. Two of us ordered the filet mignon's which turned out to be an inferior piece of meat that was tough and chewy. The vegetables were undercooked and some of the meals were lukewarm. The sole fish was barely edible, and the pasta dish I got was overcooked. Also the server seemed to be disinterested and was just going through the motions. Is Mancy's trying to cut corners with their food quality? We eat out a lot and I'm sure it will be a long time, if ever, that we go back to Mancy's Italian!"
