"We had an excellent Father's Day brunch! It was my husband and I and our toddler, the server was amazing with the toddler and very helpful. All of our meals were excellent, even the kids meal! Would highly recommend if you want to go out for a special occasion and have a small child - and it wasn't really that expensive either!!!"

"I take my husband to Elway's for Fathers Day every year. The breakfast menu is plentiful and the food is always delicious. Our service was a bit slow and we had our 2 children with us who don't sit still for extended periods of time so it was a bit nerve wrecking waiting on our waitress. We has a great experience overall and will return again."

"I love good food and don't mind paying for it. The quality of the food doesn't merit it's price tag. Tried the bone in ribeye for $46. Honestly, the bone in ribeye at the Texas Roadhouse for $20 has way more flavor than the same steak at Elways. We tried the crab cakes. My homemade crabs are way better than the one's I got at Elways. When I go out I expect better than what I can do at home since I am by no means a chef. I just felt the food was boring, nothing I ate stimulated my palate or made me say WOW that was good. I was hoping to have my socks knocked off given all the favorable reviews I read. But went home feeling poorer and kind of cheated. I will take my hat off to the wait staff, the service was excellent."

"My husband and I plus a friend dined at Elways on a Tuesday night. I was surprised how busy it was. Having had a couple bad dinners there years ago, I was apprehensive to try it again. I was pleasantly surprised with how tender and flavorful my filet was. Since they are hand cut, y ou can expect some fat, which I did, but overall it was a great steak done the way I asked. The beet salad was unmemorable. I should have stuck with a green salad. The baked potato was perfect. All of us ordered steaks and they were all delicious and perfectly cooked. Our service was there when we needed something, but out of sight and not obtrusive at all. It is a tad noisy but added to a fun atmosphere."

"The service was unmatched! The steaks lived up to the reputation of the restaurant. I had the petite New York strip, which was outstanding......loved the crispiness on the outside. Never experienced that when ordering steak before, and was wonderful. My husband and son ordered the regular NY strip. They both has a fair bit of grizzle left on their plates, but thought the steak was outstanding. All were prepared exactly as ordered. Would go back again! It's very pricy, especially the wine list. Be prepared to spend some coin, but enjoy!"

"Elway's is at the top of our favorite Denver restaurants. We especially like eating at the bar, which is lively without being too loud and the bartenders are great, both as drink makers and servers. Order food carefully: many dishes are very good (like John's Salad and the black bean soup), others not so much (crab cakes and walleye). Regardless, we'll be back."

"I recently dined with my step-mother and sister at Elways. My food was excellent, and the server was very helpful.
My sister is a vegan, and went to Elways because it was where her Mother wanted to go to celebrate Mothers Day. They ordered the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken for my step mother, and my sister as well without the chicken and a lemon balsamic vinegarette dressing. That was the best choice, and the lemon balsamic dressing was fabulous. My Mahi Mahi blackened fish sandwich was fabulous and the bean salad excellent as well. It was hard to turn down their fabulous fries, chips and desserts are fantastic.
My sister is a vegan, and went to Elways because it was where her Mother wanted to go to celebrate Mothers Day. "We came to Elway's on Saturday because we love their brunch but really dislike buffets. I wish Elway's had never gone to buffets for special occasions. We used to get away with going down to the downtown location, but now they only offer buffets too. Besides, there is NO WAY i am going to pay $50 bucks for a buffet/steamtable food with everyone's germs. No thanks.

"Basically, we loved our experience here and we're looking forward to returning. The service was great and the presentation was lovely. There were no issues in splitting several dishes (appetizer and salad and side).
I ordered a medium-rare small filet and my husband asked for a NY strip steak, also cooked medium rare. I'm not convinced that I actually got a filet. It was done perfectly but, I've never had a filet that had so much fat and gristle. My husband's strip steak was far more tender and tasted better. I'm not even sure what cut of meat I think my "filet" really was. I was disappointed by this.
Really good coffee and yummy vanilla ice cream topped off the meal perfectly, as did an after-dinner glass of port for my husband."

"Good with kids if you go early (before 6) it's more mellow, and there's a playground with play structure and grass if the kids get itchy. Food was great, service was great. Had a weird table that wasn't very stable, which really bugged my husband."

"Unbeknownst to the staff, my husband, daughter and I were celebrating my husband's graduation from Regis University. The food and service were excellent, but what made the ocassion was when the staff saw my husband opening a gift and decided to send the three of us a special treat to share, a homemade cupcake. Although they guessed incorrectly and put a Happy Birthday chocolate wafer on the treat it was the gesture that was special. Very observant staff with at least three people assisting. The day was perfect! Thanks to all!"

"Liked the ambiance and our waitress was terrific but food for what we got was quite pricey. Halibut was great but a dish that wasn't spectacularly special...house salad was nothing special and rather overpriced...same with the fish, these were dishes where you could get something similar at other places...the prime rib and short rib dishes were way too salty, the #7 hashbrowns were kinda greasy as were the onion rings....at the end of the meal, the coffee came in a nice bug cup and was excellent but I felt the meal was too heavy..."

"We went to Elway's to celebrate my 60th birthday and I ordered the 10oz sirloin medium well. It arrived rare! had to send it back, found the food no better than other places we have dined at. It was really loud, and found the menu items to be overpriced, that's why I could not recommend Elway's."
