"Elway's Cherry Creek was great as usually. The servers and staff are the most friendly. My busy 2 and a half year son had a great time and the staff was more than accommodating to our and his needs. My steak was perfect. My wife loved her Ahi tuna. My wife's uncle thought his 22 ounce Porterhouse was great!"

"This was an anniversary dinner. We were greeted with best wishes for this special day. Service staff were excellent. Grilled artichoke was excellent.
Meal was disappointing from there on (ceasar salad, prime rib and twice baked potato were fair).
Still a special place to have a quiet dinner."

"FANTASTIC STEAK HOUSE. They seated us immediately in a wonderful booth. The service was outstanding. I had the best filet of my entire life - one that was cooked perfectly and could be cut with a butter knife. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the roasted cauliflower with truffle butter."

"Elways is the perfect restaurant. You can get hamburgers, salads, or very elegant steak dinners. I had the shrimp salad with gigantic pieces of shrimp. My friend had the smash burger with fries and it was also excellent. It's the kind of restaurant that you go to knowing that there will be something on the menu that will appeal to you."

"Elways can be pricy, but it's worth it. If you are on a limited budget, restaurant week is a great time to visit. The couple price of 52.80 makes an amazing dinner affordable. All of the steaks are wonderful, but my favorite menu item is the lamb(not part of the special). On Friday night we had the salmon and prime rib with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was excellent! We drove 7 hours for this meal and it was worth it."

"I had never been to Elways before my experience last week. I have to say, it was incredible. We went for 5280 week. In experiences with other restaurants, I have found that some servers automatically assume that someone ordering for 5280 week will leave a bad tip and provide less-than excellent service, but this was the exact opposite. I went with my boyfriend and my brother for his birthday. Our server was amazing. He was knowledgeable, super friendly, but did not hover. He was there whenever I thought that I needed something. He was training another server, who seemed to be doing a great job in his training as well. I ordered the Red Pepper Soup, Prime Rib, and Mashed Potatoes. Everything was superb. I will visit again!"

"We went for Denver's Restaurant Week which offered dinner for 2 for $52.80. This was our first visit to Elways. We felt the food offerings for the special meal were somewhat average and while the meal was good, it was nothing spectacular. We saw more interesting things on the regular menu, and if we wanted to spend quite a bit more money, would probably have ended up with a much more interesting meal. I would suggest that next year they offer a bit more inspired and original Restaurant Week menu that might entice folks like us to return. I can get a sirloin or a piece of salmon prepared traditionally just about anywhere.
The outstanding service was the best part of our meal."

"We were there to take advantage of the 5280 Restaurant Week promotion. As expected, the food was very good. We had two excellant servers who took very good care of us and did not make us feel we were being rushed although the restaurant was packed. The deserts were nothing to write home about but they were okay for this promotion.
Definately a place to go for a special occasion or if you are someone who needs to "be seen"."

"This was our first time at Elway's it was with the 5280 dining. The ambiance was very romantic and was we were very impressed with the friendlyness of the service. The Roasted Red Pepper Soup had a spiceness and flavor that would have been all I needed. However, our Sirlon Steak was done to perfection and the flavor was excellent. "I took my mother here for her 60th birthday for brunch. The ambiance and service were superb and the coffee was spectacular. However, the breakfast food was mediocre at best. I was very disappointed because we've heard nothing but fabulous things about Elways' dinner from friends. We supposed brunch couldn't be anything less. Unfortunately it was. We'll definitely return to try out the dinner scene - but brunch was simply ok."

"We love Elways! Every time we dine there the food is fantastic. We prefer dining in the bar, with live music and great energy. The service is always attentive without hovering. And they offer some of the most unique food, beautifully presented, in Denver. My only complaint is that the portions or too big! Elways will continue to be our go-to place for brunch, lunch and dinner."

"Overall we had a very pleasant night. The service was not outstanding. At the same time, it was really busy. I did not feel like it was a special experience. Nothing stands out as awesome. I may go back to the bar or go one more time and try it another night. I felt more like they were just getting through the night. I still prefer Morton's or Capital Grill. It was fun to go. "We both ordered off of the specials menu-lamb loin and veal NY strip. The lamb was served on a huge pile of lentils with pine nuts, raisins and more braised meat. The only flavorful part of it was the raisins. I expected it to have some sort of sauce to compliment the lamb. The NY strip was good served with foi gras. It was very rich. For a side dish, we ordered the sugar snap peas which weren't very sweet, just bland. The restaurant was so dark, I could hardly read the menu."

"I actually thought the food will be much better than that. I asked for medium steak but my steak came out more like well done than medium. There was nothing special about the roasted 1/2 chicken either. The server was really nice but didn't ask how my steak was so I didn't mention anything. I am a little bit dissapointed because I have a high expectation of this restaurant."

"The service from Eric was absolutely flawless. Don't order the Chocolate Martini unless you like coffee. Was not able to drink it, had to send back. They were very nice about taking it back. "Unfortunately this was not our best experience at elways. We usually have great service and this time it was not there. We had two different serviers both of which barely came by, we waited forever for our food and with a 1 year old this is not too fun. We had to ask for coffee refills and tea. Usually a manager stops by to see how things were and we saw nobody. So this was a dissapointing visit."

"I am certainly not poor, and I do frequent higher end restaurants like Mizuna, Capital Grille, Fruition, Luca d'Italia etc, but I found the prices absolutely astonishingly high.
Shocked that a scrany little 1/2 chicken was $21.! at lunch! I took 4 people out and the bill was $170.00 for a couple omletes, a few soups and two scrany entrees. People who frequent are simply stupid and must love to throw away money. I was simply flabergasted."

"The traditional breakfast entree: Bacon was not quality; fruit bowl wonderful; biscuit good; potatoes very average; scrambled eggs average. Requested a side of salsa which was very mild but nice flavor; hot chocolate good; service good but rushed with waiters/waitresses on the run, thus, hurried atmosphere. Will return but order a different item on the "brunch" menu next time. Thank you for asking."

"Elway's has gone from exceptional to slightly about average. The menu is very good, the food is also good however the prices are very high and the service however friendly is lacking even with two servers per table. Something is getting lost in communicating who is doing what. This still is a nice place overall and worth a look but at the end of the meal you most likely will be thinking that you didn't get a fair value or service for what you paid."

"We visited Elway's in Cherry Creek and was very disapointed:( The service was horrible, we waited 20 minutes for two drinks!!We had two different waiters and neither one of them went over the menu with us. "Outstanding food in a slightly oriental ambiance, with ample choices in salads, soup, entrees and desserts, especially for children of all ages. Our party were especially appreciative of the S'Mores dessert, shared by all, making the atmosphere more familial and evocative of a family camping experience, complete with miniature fire-pot for toasting the marshmallows.
To a person, all eight of us would be delighted to return!"

"This is THE spot to take a carnivirous husband for a birthday celebration. The lamb fondue is always a wonderful way to start the evening. The bone-in rib eye was a hit with the hubby. Normally a filet is perfect for me--but the bone-in filet is enormous! The good news is that the wait staff is wonderful and doggie bags are expected, so lunch is assured from one portion."

"Having read a number of reviews I was very looking forward to a good meal at Elways, and it didn't disappoint. The service was good, if not for the fact we felt they may have over complicated matters by having too many servers - who didn't appear to communicate with each other. As we were having fish appetizers and Steak entrees, we were having both white and Red wine and wanted to ensure we had finished our white wine before the entree. So we requested a delay. We were shocked to find the steaks arriving before our plates for the appetizers had been cleared. A quick request of delay was asked for and courteously dealt with. One worry is that you are served the same food later. Not this time. It was fresh and immaculate. Will def go again."

"Food was merely OK considering the price. I've had many better steaks at many different restaurants (Capital Grille, Denver Chophouse, a handful in Dallas, every steakhouse in Chicago/NYC). Service was terrible; at no point did my party feel welcome. Servers were inexplicably changed on us. The second server seemed extremely reluctant to be working, tried to rush us off our table (offered to box up my wife's steak while we were clearly still eating), and never once refilled our wine glasses. We are not the kind of diners that attract poor service either. Will not be returning to this restaurant as I can think of literally a dozen places in Denver I'd rather spend $300 on dinner."

"First time here, pleasantly suprised. Good all around service very attentive and knowledgable. Food quality was also very good--steaks and appetizer and desert were excellent. One slight downer was the greasy, not creamy potatos au gratin side dish--could use some improvement there. Restaurant and bar scene were very busy but the service was still attentive. Great bar to sit while waiting for your table. Nice diverse menu (tuna tartare, grilled artichoke, steaks, fish, various salads and fresh crab/shrimp oyster appetizers to name a few). "Excellent service, great ambiance, delicious food. We had an anniversary dinner at Elway's, and the setting was very romantic, the wait staff unobtrusive but attentive, and the timing of courses was excellent - prompt, but we never felt rushed. This was our second time at Elway's, and we will definitely be return customers. All courses were excellent (Ahi Tuna was to die for!) with the exception of the salad. It was drowned in dressing. We will order the salad dressing on the side next time."

"Elegant, yet comfortable, yet in-crowd cool environment. Genuinely superb food - creative twists on traditional dishes, perfectly prepared. Clever specialty drinks - innovative takes on classics. Excellent service - very friendly, attentive, and efficient without overdoing it or rushing us. Very restrained working of the obvious sports and celebrity association - much less than expected. Jazz music ambiance. A bit pricey for casual dining, but does not come off unreasonable when you experience the quality. Location in big box store zone attached to Cherry Creek Mall a bit unusual, but valet parking operation addresses the parking challenges. Overall, excellent."

"I scheduled a busiess lunch a Elway's and would suggest reservations to anyone planning to do the same. We were seated immediately and served efficiently and pleasantly from our drink order to dessert. The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful. One caution... if you're looking for a nice quiet spot, this is not the place. The restaurant was full and the noise level was high enough that we had to raise our voices to be heard at our own table. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the experience tremendously."

"I come to Elways in CC at least a few times a month. and favor it for multiple reasons. (Food, service, parking, close)

Often i oder the tenderloin salad This is the second time, however, that it was borderline too peppery to eat. My suspicion is that there is one chef who goes heavier on the pepper as usually someone else is complaining about it on that particular day.
I now know to request " light on the pepper" when I order." but others have complained of the same thing so it might bare watching.

I was there twice last week. Mon, there was a new waitress who was excellent. I will watch for her name!"

"We were seated immediately and service was very good at first. Team waitstaff, however, was extremely spotty. Beet salad and butternut squash soup were superb. Waitress did not (nor did menu) explain to my wife that her small NY strip would be a "baseball cut", i.e. would be cut in half thick instead of standard cut. Big mistake for a strip--there is no sense eating a thick cut strip because of texture. Had my wife known this, she would just ordered a filet. My filet was excellent. Spaghetti squash was good, but panchetta in it was undercooked and very chewy. Wife had classic ding song sessert and loved it. My apple crisp dessert was so bad that it wasn't worth eating--apple crisp at Chili's is better. Overall-not really worth it."

"I was disappointed with my first experience at Elway's. Considering the prices charged for the food, I expected more wow. The restaurant itself was not much to look at, at least where we were sitting. I felt like I was in a board room because of the wood paneled walls and lack of decor. The food tasted good, but given the prices, I wanted something special. The spaghetti squash side dish was the most unique thing on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine which was great, but for someone who is trying to keep the cost of their meal down, there was not many bottles under $40. I don't think I will be going back again. I would prefer to spend my money somewhere where I feel I am getting a great experience and great food."

"We were visiting family in Denver and had heard that Elway's had the best steaks in town...which they did. The service was excellent and the food was to die for. What I really loved was that there were five of us plus our 2 month old baby and they sat us at a table for six and provided a sling for the baby. A sling is like a tray stand that holds the car seat and takes up as much room as a person in a chair. It kept the baby close and we did not have to worry about a stroller or anything else."

"I was very disapointed in our meal at Elway's. We wanted to try Elway's as we had heard how good it was and we were taking friends out for a special thank you meal. Well, $400 later, I would have been happier and had a better meal at Brook's or Mortons.
I ordered crab legs which were not very good and the portion would have fed a child, the wedge salad was different than wedge salads we have had at other resturants, I did however like the bread and soup. Not a great review when the meal was so pricy."

"I always enjoy going to Elway's. It is such a treat for me to have a place where I can take my wife for special occasions. The experience is always fantastic and the service is always professional, curteous, and friendly. I believe you have "the best" steak in Denver (I always get the 33oz Porterhouse) and I enjoy the homemade (white pepper) chips that are served at the bar. "Food was very good, steaks nicely aged and prepared. Service started out great and went downhill from there. One of our party ordered surf and turf; waiter forgot the lobster which was finally delivered at the end of the meal. Other than an appology, no further attempt was made to make amends.

I mentioned that service was very attentative when we were first seated and up through dinner being served. It seemed from that point forward we were being hurried through the rest of our meal so the table could be turned. As an example, coffee was served, but no one came by to offer a refill.

Bottom line, we paid for an expensive meal and SERVICE; the food met all expectations the service did not. We will not be likely to return."

"Stunning. The lunch menu is stufffed with so many great dishes it is hard to choose from. Their classics include a wonderful steak and salad, chicken corn chowder and my favorite prime beef enchiladas, which ordered in christmas red and green sauces is wonderful. This place is a perennial favorite of ours and absolutely worth any lunch, dinner or special event! Super staff, beautiful room and a quite atmosphere are a welcome respite from all of the solid surface, clanky restaurants found today."

"Every year myself and a very good friend choose a restaurant over the Holidays for a beautiful lunch and we exchange gifts. This year we chose Elway's in Cherry Creek. We were early and decieded to enjoy some cocktails at the bar before having lunch. Well, the bartender was wonderful making us feel very special remembering our names etc. Then we were seated and our waitress was absoultly flawess... The food is great, we tried many different appitizers we especially enjoyed the articoke grilled to perfection. The service is fantastic and the ambience was perfect for our needs. We have diceded that Ewlay's is on the menue evey Christmas, and hopefully throughout the year.
