Eclipse takes the classics and reinterprets them with exciting ingredients and edgy presentations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily, and cocktails and small plate specialties are available nightly at the Rooftop Terrace Bar. The atmosphere is comfortable and the vibrant blue fiber-optics highlight the bar and one-of-a-kind lunar murals are truly, a visual feast.
"The Eclipse was a wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious especially the mushroom soup! After dinner we went to the rooftop and ordered drinks and dessert. Fun atmosphere on the roof. Good for date night or for a group."

"It took 20 minutes for the server to even come to our table. She took our order and an hour and half later we still had no food. We left and went across the street for lunch instead. When we told the hostess we were leaving (because we could not find a manager) there was not even an apology...just "okay". Will not go back."

"I went to Eclipse on Saturday night with a group of 6 friends before we went to a comedy show at the Pageant. The food was great (wish the appetizers had a little more food) and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent from the host who seated us to our attentive and friendly waitress. It's a nice change of scenery from the average restaurant- something different. The menu is limited but what they have is great. It's a great place to grab a drink or have a date night. I would definitely recommend it."

"As a starter, we had the White Bean Dip, which we found to be similar in concept to hummus but unfortunately, inferior in taste. The complimentary bread was also mediocre. As an entree, I had the Tofu dish with sides of Risotto and Rice Pilaf. The Tofu and Rice Pilaf were keepers, but the Risotto was bland and flavorless. We also ordered three cocktails: Strawberry Fields is Overrated, Salty Sailor, and Love Potion No. 5. All three drinks were quite good, but by the time we got them, we had already finished our entrees and were about ready to leave. With that exception though, Eclipse was decent at bringing out dishes in a timely manner.
Overall, we thought Eclipse had good cocktails but mediocre food."

"Food was good. Nothing great about it just good food. Since the price point is what it is, I wasn't expecting much more than I got. Had breakfast and dinner and both were good. Not going to make a special trip to go back but would eat there again if I was in the area. The atmosphere was very intriguing and clean."

"Perfect restaurant to conduct business. The food/menu is excellent. The tables are not too close together that you want to talk in hushed tones. The noise level is very good for conversation at your table."

"This was our third time at this restaurant. The food was great and the service was fantastic. We eat here whenever we go to the Pageant. We also went to the roof top bar after dinner. I highly reccomend this. It is a great view."

"Love the decor which is the first thing you notice when entering Moonrise. Art work is enjoyable and attention getting. Street side table added to the ambiance. The service would have been better if they hadn't been understaffed. The server was very professional. Our food was very good; the chicken breast I had was perfectly cooked and they respond well to special food requests."

"Our meal was fine, although the service was terribly slow. We had a reservation and showed up a bit early, but didn't get seated until 15 minutes after our reservation time (despite a nearly empty restaurant). It took a long time to get orders placed, food came out in waves for our group, etc. Everything was delicious and the people were nice, but it was SO slow. And we were basically the only people there except for those at the bar."

"Service was very friendly, informative, and attentive. The vegetable cassoulet was flavorful, vegetarian, full of flavor. The wild mushroom pasta was just right in that it has the right amount of sauce, non excess oil and wonderful taste of mushrooms and chicken."

"My only solid complaint(irritation may be a more appropos term) was where we were seated. I emailed well ahead that this was a very special occasion(our 20th anniversary) and this would be my first visit. We were seated at right at the kitchen entrance. I changed that, but only one booth away. The food was good with reasonable prices; except for the $11.00 martinis. The waitress seemed Very hurried, but polte."

"We visited for Sunday brunch. Though the restaurant was empty when we arrived, our service was painfully slow. I ordered an egg dish that I thought came with trout -- when it arrived, it included a very sparse piece of ham. At that point, we realized that the menu did actually mention the two options -- but, did our server ask for clarification? No. The hash browns were actually very good, otherwise, the food was unremarkable. I will not return."

"We had stayed at the Moonrise hotel and ordered breakfast in bed. We have been coming back for breakfast at the Eclipse ever since. Food is very fresh and the home made sausage balls are to die for!"

"Very cool edition to the Loop, but make a reservation, started packing em in around 6:30 pm on Saturday. Had some appetizers (the root chips and dip are fantastic), drinks, and breakfast the next day. Drinks are pretty awesome, with a nice beer selection. Looking forward to coming back during the summer for the rooftop bar. Service is not extremely fast, but not so slow that it was bad on the restaurant. Would be a good place for dinner - want to try it out sometime. The homemade strudel for breakfast is a must if you like delectable pastries!"

"Really loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Took my boyfriend there for valentines dinner and it was really good. I had the salmon, he had the steak. The only thing I did not like was the appetizer. We had the one with hummus, dried fruit, breads and cheeses...should have opted for the breaded ravioli instead. Otherwise it was a great dining experience. We will dine there again."

"The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Our server was attentive but didn't hover, even on what seemed to be a quiet Wednesday night. I had the pork chop and my bf had the filet, and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Ambiance was hip and modern, with lots of mid-century-modern touches, but still felt cozy enough to be romantic. Our servers suggestion for dessert was the banana cake which i would not normally have chosen, but we took her advice and were so glad we did."

"The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptional! It was a perfect place for a valentines day meal! Whether it be a new toy, or the amazing galactic ceiling, I never got bored of sitting in this semi-formal modern/futuristic restaurant."

"We took three teenagers for my son's 20th birthday. We have a Vegan, a Vegetarian, and three Carnivores-this was a fabulous place for all of us! One son was had a filet for his birthday while his brother had a great vegan burger. The girlfriend loved the wild mushroom pasta and my salmon with spinach was perfect! The ambiance-lighting is great. Moon memorabilia and art is fun-seating in the bar is fun and comfortable. I was worried the bar would be packed with 20 somethings but there were people of all walks of life in the restaurant-may be different on a Pageant concert night. It was great to try a new different place -we would go back. I was concerned because there were very mixed reviews-but very glad we went-food &service great!"
