"Our first visit to the El Monte was for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch. We sat on the patio and were delighted with the quality of the service and the fare. We will definitely return in the future. We would be classified as food snobs, not mean food snobs but, we appreciate wonderful food and great service...... our hats are off to the El Monte in Ft. Collins."

"Our dinner at El Monte was remarkable. Lots of great gluten-free choices, excellent service, splendid cocktails, very accommodating to our 10-week-old niece. Our hostess even "comped" one of our desserts. SO THOUGHTFUL! We'll be back."

"The El Monte Grill has become my new favorite restaurant in Fort Collins. True, we were there for dinner at the start of a snow storm so the restaurant was pretty quiet. Made for a great evening: attentive, friendly service but not obtrusive. And without a doubt, some of the best food I've had in a long time. Flavors and textures wonderfully balanced."

"The food presentation was beautiful but the actual taste was disappointing. The pork dish honestly tasted like it had been seasoned with taco seasoning. The guacamole dip was average, I was expecting much more given the intro. No choice to add lime juice, only lemon? Any great guacamole chef knows that key ingredient. To be honest we were disappointed."

"Had a great time. Chose El Monte for a birthday dinner with a friend. The food and atmosphere were great. Best of all, I felt like we had time to sit and chat and enjoy our meal and drinks without being or feeling rushed - as I was with a friend I had not seen in a while."

"Food was superb...very fresh ingredients, very flavorful. Our waitress didn't listen very well at first - we had to repeat ourselves a couple of times to make sure she got our order correctly, but was very attentive after that. The noise level is a bit high, so not a great place if you're with a group and want to visit."

"We really enjoyed our food at El Monte as we always do. The ceviche trio is amazing. The house margaritas were good but not great. The coin margarita is much better. A majority of the menu is gluten free which was awesome. The food has the most amazing flavors and everything is super fresh."

"Outside the hostess being a little aloof and acting like it was a bother to look up our reservations, El Monte Grill was excellent. Great margs, amazing guac and dinner couldn't have been better. Service was perfect, we we're never bothered unnecessarily, our drinks were always full. I'll be back many times."

"Our family was going to go to another great Mexican place in Fort Collins so I went onto Open Table to see if I could make a reservation and noticed El Monte. We took a look at thier menu and decided to give it a try. Our table was ready when we arrived even though it was pretty crowded. Our server was very helpful and nice. The cocktails were wonderful and our food arrived quickly and hot."

"We have now been to El Monte Grill a few times over about 12 months. We have tried different appetizers and entrees each time we visit and all the food has been very good. My wife had the steak and relleno while I had the pork loin. Both had excellent flavor. The portion sizes are good, not too much and yet I didn't feel cheated either. It is a little pricey, but I think the food is worthy of the price. Service this time was just ok. He didn't seem to know the special or the menu in general, but he was attentive. The server on our last visit was excellent with a very detailed understanding of the menu. I suggest getting reservations as there was already a wait at 5:30 Saturday night."
